heartburn

Avatar f tn According to a research study released back in 2007 or 2008 heartburn signals that whatever produces hair for the baby is present. You can google the article. It's not 100% just more likely.
Avatar m tn The weird thing is that my doctor tells me that the pain I feel is not coming from my liver, but they just keep on pushing the liver issue. I want to know why the pain is still there and what is it coming from. The pain is sharp and is in the same area as my liver and what used to be my gallbladder. It happens more often after a meal. Also I am suffering from heartburn every single night (not sure if this has anything to do with the pain, but it all seems to go together).
Avatar n tn I also had yellow burning diarrhea for 24 hours before nd 4 days after this attack. At the ER i was given prescriptions for heartburn med and bentyl. Nausea and heartburn are not common for me, but PCP also prescribed phenergan for nausea. The Bentyl helps with the pain some. Last week I had a HIDA scan showing a 59% EF, normal but lumpy liver and not much else.
Avatar m tn In your case, most people see almost complete or elimination of symptoms (mostly heartburn in my case; some belching, gas), the other "keep it and if it starts hurting, then chuck it." My mother, who had something similar (hers was dyskinesia, but eventually she developed stones), also went through the heartburn. Got hers out and hasn't had a problem since. Didn't know about some of the dangers (namely Ducts of Luschka disease), so thanks for the research.
Avatar n tn I am always bloted. After I eat it is worse. Can this be from my high liver blood relsults? This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/234450'>Chronic Stomach Bloating</a>.
Avatar f tn I have had pressure/discomfort in the upper right quadrant area for a couple of months. I have also recently started to taste bile in the back of my mouth, no heartburn or anything like that. I was pregnant and lost the baby at 19 weeks (3 weeks ago). Doctors have reassured me that this discomfort would not have affected my baby (we are still waiting for autopsy results) but I have recently read about obstetric cholestasis.
Avatar n tn s a bunch it could be but yellow stool is when your digestive system is having a hard time breaking down foods because of lack of either enzymes or bile from the liver..usually stone or pancrease related.. but who knows... it's a mystery and you gotta find the culprit but the yellow stool and carbs is def. a suggestion with either pancrease/gallbladder issues with maybe secondary ulcer or something like that...
Avatar f tn Most knowledgeable hepatologists prescribe proton pump inhibitor (PPI) drugs like Nexium or Prilosec. Both are generally considered liver friendly; omeprazole is available generically if cost is an issue.
4173379 tn?1355356551 I have a question regarding gastroenterologists versus the other specialists like hepatology or oncology? I have read some places that a gastro is not the person to see regarding liver disease or making diagnoses or even treating Hep C. Yet I also find information on what a gastro practices, treats, evaluates or diagnoses. I am confused...my husband sees a gastro/internist specialist for his liver diseases. The nearest hepatologist is 30 hours away.
Avatar f tn I did some research online and read that Omeprazole can cause Hepatitis and liver issues. This concerns me greatly because I already have Hepatitis C and a swollen liver. Should I stop taking Omeprazole? Please help. Thank you.
Avatar f tn ve been squeezing a generous amount of lemon into a glass of water or putting lemon in a glass of water and heating it up. Very comforting. I've had horrible heartburn/acid reflux every night. Today I ate a lot of crappy greasy foods which usually makes it worse. So also today I drank 5 bottles of water with lemon squeezed in it and tonight no heartburn/ acid reflex. Looked it up online what the benifits were and it does in fact help with these heartburn/acid reflex issues.
Avatar m tn This started about a little over a month ago. I began to lose my appetite and I couldn't eat as much. I had pretty bad heartburn that would burn up to my ear. I've thrown up on two occasions in the morning a very bitter green liquid. The last 2 weeks, the heartburn has mostly gone away and I do have an appetite, but now I have really bad nausea right when I wake up and it lasts the entire day (just not as bad as when I first wake up).
Avatar f tn 2009 that returned as a 1.5 cm spot in my liver April 2012. Every mosquito bite, every sensation is 'something deadly'. Two nights ago I was doing a puzzle and slumped over a table. I was also eating Fig Newtons. I lost 3 molars to chemo and don't chew my food well. One piece was a bit large and I felt it working its way down my throat. (I also have hystericus globulus).

Avatar n tn The bad times get longer and closer together. Back pain, abdominal pain, gas, heartburn, loss of appetite, exhaustion, nausea... Been through a series of tests. So far they have found fibroids in my uterus (told not to worry), overactive gallbladder (hida scan showed function at 97% again, told not to worry) and CT with contrast showed a lesion on my liver (told again it's like a bruise and not to worry). I'm a 38 year old woman in good health and I'm worried!
Avatar n tn I thought the pain was caused by the inflammation of the esophagus, but after 6 month with increasing heartburn problems I took PPI for one month and the heartburn problem was completely gone. What was left was the constant pain in the right upper quadrant. Ultrasound, gastroscopy, coloscopy, bloodwork and an MRI showed nothing abnormal, expect a folded gallbladder but with no sign of inflammation or something. Im quite sure that the gallladder is the location of the pain.
Avatar m tn Problems of gall bladder and liver or that of pancreas too cannot be ignored. Possibility of H pylori infection should be looked into by carbon urea breath test. I would strongly recommend you to see a gastroenterologist (a specialist who looks after the diseases of our digestive system). Maybe your physician can recommend someone. Take care!
Avatar n tn I have been getting bad heartburn for nearly 10 years. I was told it was due to general bad diet/exercise/etc, but after sorting a lot of that out it has only got worse. Recently I developed terrible nausea most of the time. Also, I have found myself getting a lot of persistent minor infections, mainly in my gums. Also, acne has started to appear on my face and shoulders. This is not due to a hygeine issue. My doctor told me he thinks I may have H.
1304978 tn?1273131209 Fast food is rich in fat. Hence this could be causing gas or flatulence if there is liver or gallbladder problem. It could also be intolerance to some ingredient of the food. Please get a liver function test and ultrasound of gall bladder done. Also possibility of acidity should be looked into. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar f tn I would go see your dr. I was in today and they asked if I was having any pain below my breast or kinda near the liver i believe, and felt under my breast. They said that's a sign of preeclampcia. I lucky don't have it. I'm 37 weeks today. Or it could just be heartburn but its definitely a good idea to check. Good luck.
Avatar m tn I've had a pain that is unbearable when I bend over, or if I press on the area, which is under the left breast on the rib area. I had an echocardiogram which showed no heart problem, other than lousy lipids. I don't get heartburn or upset stomachs. Doctor hasn't a clue, says it must be muscular----but for two years??????????????? Thought it was my underwire bra putting pressure on area, but not wearing one hasn't stopped the pain. Where do i go from here?
