For those of you that don't know ramadan is something muslims observe. For 30 days you cannot eat or drink between sunrise and sunset. It starts this weekend. My husband will be observing ramadan but I won't as im 6 months pregnant (pregnant women are exempt for obvious reasons) however I was talking to some of the women from my husbands side of the family and they were saying how they still did ramadan even though they were pregnant.

Hi,Im a muslim and performing fasting in this month of ramadhan. I think this is a good oppurtunity for me to lose weight so I've been doing regular jogging for 20mins and drinking lemonade drink(lemon+honey) for at least 5oz a day.I wonder if this routine is good enough for me to reach my target goal(reduce 3kg) by this 3 month.Anybody want to add up or share their opinion ?

Yes i will be fasting for coming Ramadan month, and I want to know how can I control my diet, because the fasting stress make the body more haunger to eat more food and many people gain waight after Ramadan month!

This year the period of Fasting month ( Ramadan Month ( Fasting Arabic month)) will be in the middle of summer ( because Arabic year is 355 days, therefore Ramadan moves by 10 days among the seasons) which will be so hard. I used to fast but these days I am drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day and I don't believe not drinking water from sun set to sun down would be helpful to my health during Ramadan. So with God's permeation I won't fast during this this summer.

I am glad that you are not going to fast that would be so hard on your body and your babies. I am not Muslim but I grew up in Saudi Arabia and remember everyone else fasting during Ramadan. I hope that you will not be looked down on for not fasting.

All the pregnant Muslim women I know dont fast during Ramadan. They just make up for it after the baby. maybe try that? Im hungry all the time too and I couldn't imagine trying to fast! Lol. Let us know how it goes tho!

I worked in a store when I was 16 and one of my Co workers was in the same situation and she said she tried her best but gave in if she felt faint. I nearly fainted today in my lesson because I had not had a drink for three hours, I'm sure my babies are fine but I will not let myself get distracted again. I would say going without water would be more harmful than doing without both.

That is a great question, really. Very interesting. But teeth issues can indeed cause sinus issues. This is a documented phenomena . So it would stand to reason that issues that have caused your teeth to fall out would, therefore, also affect your sinuses. Wondering if you don't still have some immflamation in your gums even without teeth that is connected to sinus issues now? Good question for your doctor! Or maybe even a dentist if you still could go to one.
