I also suffer from migraine headaches and with migraines comes the gut wrenching dry heaves. Over the yrs the heartburn has come back so I am back on heartburn meds and once again not getting much relief. I was scoped a few yrs ago and they said the Nissen was only partially in tact most likely torn from vomiting with the migraines. They also could see a hiatal hernia but said it was nothing to worry about.
Now 2010 my cough is back and the heartburn just as sever as before.
I feel like I have a lot of post nasal drip and heartburn as well. I often cough up clear mucus until I vomit especially if I eat heavy meals which I try to avoid. Pasta seems to be a major trigger. I take medicines for all of my health issues. I keep a dry tickling cough during the day also. I've tried several times with my doctors but nothing has helped so far. Any thoughts? Thank you!
I am very curious to see the response you get. Because this is EXACTLY what I have been dealing with for one week now:( the coughing it constant and dry and the feeling of something being in my throat is what causes me to cough. It's horrible.
At night I move from my bed to the couch and back to my bed not to mention the pee breaks and heartburn/dry cough/feeling to throw up all night. I think I may have got a whole hour last night in interrupted sleep. It was rough. I'm 35 weeks and just about done too. Your right. The swelling in my feet, legs and hands is the cherry on the cake. I feel like a whale and I just know people will want to take pictures with me over the holidays and I have to look happy....
I usually do not cough as to not make it worse. It is always a dry cough. No sounds in my chest. Some days are better than others. Right when my eyes open in the morning, I feel completely fine. Shortly after, I gradually start to feel the tickle come back. I do have seasonal allergies, however pollen has been in the "low" for the past 3 days and today I feel the tickle as bad as day 1. I will typically take a Zyrtec if my allergies bother me.
After 2 weeks, I got ear pain, headache and then dry cough. The weather is also very cold here. However , this cough was continuing and then it moved from dry cough to cold cough and still having. its gotten to the point now where I cough and i cough so much, i literally feel my throat closing up. sometimes its so bad i almost trow up. havent thrown up though. i went to an immediate care place and they just gave me amoxicillin, cough suppressant, and an inhaler. the inhaler works when i cant breathe. but its all sparked by the cough. it really freaks me out when i cant breathe. please if you have any idea what this could be. i am 19 years old and pretty healthy, except im anemic.
then in the last couple years, the feeling/tickle just below the throat was getting strong (but sometimes tickle/feeling still gone), and sometimes I had cough caused by saliva at night times. Recently, the tickle/feeling-something-inside below the throat is always there, never gone, and also the cough is getting stronger at night, daytime rarely cough however)
I saw my family doctor several times, and they told me that it's allergy/heartburn.

ll share something with you. Our 12 year old dog has had a dry hacking cough on and off his whole life. Just every now and again. He did it once in front of the vet and the vet commented that it was because of his heart murmur. I

For the past three days I have had a non-productive dry cough which has me fatigued, feeling heaviness in my chest and a little short of breath at times. I am a healthy 67 yr old, do not smoke, have high blood pressure or heart problems other than a rapid pulse [from 80-110 depending on activity]. I have recently and in the past cleaned my bathroom floors with straight chlorine bleach on the floor pouring water over it and mopping. The odor is strong and I must keep the door closed.
I only have a dry cough when I'm in an air conditioned area, when a fan is blowing and always when I lay down on my couch. What can this be? And how do I stop the cough? If its a type of asthma, I would like to know if I need an inhaler.
