408795 tn?1324935675 Has anyone here with HepC been able to buy life insurance? I know years ago this question was brought up on this forum and nobody seemed to be able to buy coverage, is that still the case? My wife wants to get life insurance but I told her I can't. She's not HepC positive and I am still HepC positive but even if I was SVR I wouldn't be able to buy life insurance, at least that's what I believe, am I right?

Avatar m tn I would advise you to consult a sleep specialist who would assess with first a sleep questionnaire, and then he may ask for a polysomnogram, which is an overnight sleep study as this helps to detect the apneas. Treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea is by CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) where air under gentle pressure is passed into the airways keeping it patent. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Avatar f tn I'm still a work in progress :o), so I can't help with your questionairre; however there is a recent article in Clinical Care Options that discusses the term "cure" as is used in HCV management. Here's the addy: http://tinyurl.com/2m9fwn You'll probably be asked to register, but it's quick and free.
1039200 tn?1314912008 To my surprise I was offered a job as a healthcare assistant at a local hospital after passing an interview. I accepted but have since been given a sixteen page in depth medical questionnaire to fill. It asks many specific questions, including ones about medication/mental health - amounts/dates, there is no way to be vague, or play down the symptoms. I also have other health problems and am now worried that they will turn around and say I am not suitable for the job.
Avatar f tn Like someone else said , the ONLY way to know how your insurance works and what is covered is to call your insurance and ask about your specific policy. I worked for a major health insurance company for years and the biggest mistake you can make is not calling them in advance. I also recommend finding out what options you have for permanent coverage for your baby.
Avatar f tn Call your health plan provider. It's different with each state, I believe.
Avatar n tn Hi, I just found out I do not have health insurance. We thought it would be until the end of the month but it's already done. I wad still under my moms plan and she was laid off last month. Well I had medical assistance through the state my last pregnancy but they dropped me when she was a month old because of my fiance's income. My daughter still has medical assistance.
Avatar f tn What health insurance coverage/plan do you have? How much do you pay deductible and premium? Im so confuse about that. I'm 35 and planning family soon, but I'm so confused about this. thank ;you Just trying to get an idea.
387294 tn?1207620185 My son and daughter may be looking for health insurance after they leave college and are no longer dependents. My daughter has been diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic heart valve. She has a healthy heart and it is working well. With this impact her chances to get health insurance on her own? Will it impact our ability to continue her insurance after the cobra period is over on our insurance?
Avatar f tn I am going to lose my health insurance soon. I was wondering if anyone knows of any government programs I can participate in in order to afford doctors appointments and delivery.
3180580 tn?1344745287 m super excited to meet my little girl and such. i am 17 and a senior in high school. what kind of health insurance would be options for me to get got my baby.

Avatar m tn Hi, I was wondering if anybody could help me with a health insurance question? About a year ago Anthem Covered two separate visits to the doctors office that I had gone to. So initially they paid and I thought I was all set. Now, almost a year later, they retracted payment due to my coverage ending within days of the visits. I understand if I wasn't covered, but I am wondering how they can pay for it and then decide they were wrong and bill me a year later?
4097344 tn?1349754756 im in need of some help. i need health insurance but i just lost my job. now that i have palpitations im scared to drive or do anything. i went to the er and they did a ct scan with contrast and said they didnt find anything wrong. i just feel like crap. out of energy. all blood test came back good. i got a ct scan with contrast for my head last week but i havent heard back from them with the results so im guessing they didnt find anything.
Avatar f tn Hi Frrecks, I'm sorry that I don't know anything about the insurance, since we still have private insurance. It has to be so difficult to set aside the financial worries and concentrate on feeling better. I do know a lot of the DMD companies have programs to assist anyone without insurance. As for my private insurance cost, my employer just finished the open enrollment for next year and here is what I will be paying for my health insurance - $238.00 a month for me and my spouse.
Avatar n tn What are the best health insurance sites/companies/agents? When you search health insurance you get ehealthinsurance.com, and healthinsurance.org, and http://www.HealthPlanOne.com as the top 3 but I want to know if you have found better ones than these ones.
Avatar n tn Alright, so I'm on my dad's health insurance through his work. It's upmc. Well, my boyfriend & I are getting our own place & my dad told me I can't change my address & stay on his health insurance. How true is this? Because I just looked it up & it said that a child under 26 can remain on a parents plan even if they don't live with them. I just want to know for sure because I can't afford it on my own. Especially not with the baby coming.
Avatar f tn If you're in the USA than I believe by law, health insurance must cover pregnancy appointments and delivery. It doesn't matter if your on your parents insurance or not. Now, how much they pay could be iffy so you're best bet is to call or ask your mom to call. One thing to think about, grandchildren cannot be extended on to the grandparents health insurance most of the time.
6927110 tn?1393318669 Hi everyone, Im 18 years old and currently 29 weeks pregnant. Im due in February but am going to be under different medical insurance as of January 12, 2014. Im under my dad's insurance and he had to sign for a different policy the other day(due to his job). Im curious to see if anyone else has been in this situation as well and if they have any advice for a first time mom? I'd also like to add that currently I have Kaiser Permanente and will have HMSA in January.
Avatar f tn it would mean so much if someone can please help me on this. my insurance well temporary insurance expires this month so i need to send this in asap so i can get it asap.
Avatar m tn Ok good, you are in Canada so you don't have to have health insurance in order to get help. You can get prescription medications for free if you and your doctor decide you want to try a antidepressant. Many drugs are paid by the free Canada's health insurance, only the newer ones are not paid like Cymbalta. Drugs like Zoloft, Prozac, Remeron will not cost you. The therapy would cost you tho.
