My husband (40 y/o,healthy)and I (40 y/o, healthy) are looking to get our health insurance coverage from next present. Right now we are on cobra GHI( extension from my previous work place) but they are asking me to change to EMPIRE PPO or EPO since they will not have GHI. She would not be eligible for your plan because you husband's employer is paying some of the cost of your health insurance. Company's that provide insurance to their employees negotiate with the insurance company for deals and better rates. They can do that because they are signing a lot of people up. This poster would have to purchase for just her family and would not have an employer negotiation for her.
Yes you do, here in the UK we have the nhs so we don't have to pay, but other countries like US don't have nhs they have health insurance instead so, like with our car insurance, if u don't have insurance or ur insurance doesn't cover it then u have to pay

So with HSA eligible health plans, almost always one has to meet one’s deductible (meaning they have to pay for their services out of their pocket) before the carrier starts paying for any services. Now those with health issues are more likely to need/use services & it is certain that they will be required to pay their deductible.
As far as I know in Ohio (my state), the medical card would not cover this. Some insurance plans do (mostly employer plans) but at different levels. My insurance covered up to 10,000 lifetime.
Now, various fertility clinics do have different plans. That is worth checking into. Some women here also set up fundraising accounts (not here at med help though) to bring in some money to offset costs.

I don't believe that you will find a health insurance company that will take you on. They consider pregnancy a "pre-existing condition" an will not take you under ther plans. I am seven weeks pregnant and have called many comparable companies and no one will provide a plan.
Your best bet is to either apply for Medicaid if you qualify or find a clinic/hospital that will do a sliding scale payment (match the amount you pay based on your income). Best of luck!
