glucosamine

Avatar n tn I do see a difference if I stop taking it. I have not had any back pain, but I am having pain down the front of my leg and cannot lift it or the pain goes into my groin. Everyone is telling me that its from my back being unaligned, even if it does not hurt. It is expensive, and its up to you if you want to try it.
1295500 tn?1272459927 s probably about 90 lbs now. She seems to be having a lot of problem with her back legs. Some days she seems fine and other days she can barely get up off the floor and when she does her back legs shake. Right now what's happening is she is holding one of her legs up and walking on three legs. I was told to give her glucosamine sulfate 500mg for her joints and I was for about three months and it really doesn't seem to working, so I stopped giving them to her.....
Avatar m tn I recently had an MRI of my knee and lower back.. However I don't know what the diagnosis means. If any one can answer it would be greatly appreciated.. My knee diagnosis is"there is a deep fissuring in the central patellar cartilage that is full thickness.. There is underlying reactive change in the patella..." My back diagnosis is "at L5 S1 there is a mild diffuse disc buldge without central or forminal stenosis..
Avatar n tn m not a medical professional, just the parent of a kid with diabetes. N-acetyl glucosamine is prescribed because of joint pain, I believe. There is no direct evidence I can find which shows a causation between n-acetyl glucosamine and lower blood sugars. Likely the lower insulin requirements you're seeing are because your son's body is under less stress, so his blood sugars are lower.
Avatar m tn have had physical therapy for disc but that only helped with the back pain and is mostly tolerable now. had cortisone shots that didnt help at all.Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
6669309 tn?1462648142 Arthritis is very common in older dogs and the longer dogs live the more common it is becoming. Nutritional supplements Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate are two substances that have fast become the standard treatment in canine age-related arthritis. These are often sold as a single combined substance in good pet shops and quality supermarkets. Alternatively, just look up "Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate for dogs" on Google and you should find a supplier.
Avatar m tn Place your fingers on the back of your head and pull your elbows and shoulders back, keeping your chest raised. Avatar f tn This started a couple of days ago. The weather got really cold fast and I just started him back on glucosamine. Does this sound like the arthrits acting up or do I need to worry? How much glucosamine can I give him? I hate when my dog is in pain, I have had him since I was in kindergarden.
Avatar n tn I was wondering whether he needed the glucosamine/chondroitin combination because he had no digestive issues when he took Myristin -- which is a CMO(cetyl myristoleate) +glucosamine -- but the only thing is that the glucosamine dosage is much lower, the loading amount only provides 600 mg a day. Can I perhaps supplement it with additional glucosamine (no chondroitin)? Maybe the chondroitin is upsetting his stomach.
Avatar m tn For about 2 and a half years now, I have been having pain in my lower back and hio. My ortho sent me for an MRI and he said I had Spondylolisthesis. He treated it with Physical Therapy (which didn't work) and with Pain meds. He retired about a year and a half ago and I can't find someone who will treat me because its a "Chronic Condition. I was finally sent to a pain clinic. The Dr there wants me to have Facet injections and I am so afraid to try that.
Avatar n tn I have always fed them a really good food with the added glucosamine. I just recently changed foods to one without glucosamine. My lab started limping really bad. I went to human vitamin store and got her some glucosamine supplements. I got the liquid flavored glucosamine and the glucosamine soft flavored chew. I know some cannot swallow pills. My dog eats the chews if I slightly warm them. She will not touch the liquid. I would rather put a pill in some meat or something.
Avatar f tn Hey! I just started taking Glucosamine for my joint because I play soccer 3 times a week and my joints get sore. My eyes became extremely dry and irritated. The only thing I had changed about any of my routines was that I had added Glucosamine to my intake of suppliments. I didn't take it this weekend and noticed a big difference in the first 2 days. I am going to stay off it for now.

Please. This "injury" impacts my entire life. I just want some answers.

694961 tn?1228732588 I am also faced with the twin dilemmas of constant pain and/or surgery. I was wondering if anyone knows of a dietary supplement that will help regenerate, or at least halt or slow down the degeneration of these discs. I have started taking glucosamine and green-lipped mussel extract, as well as fish oil.

Avatar n tn Hi Thanks for your reply. I have not heard of Olive Leaf Extract before so I am very interested in your improvement. I had a quick search on line for Olive Leaf products and there seems quite a variety to choose from. Can I ask what you take and what dosage? Also you said you were advised to triple your usual dose of Glucosamine, so what do you take now?
