Common Questions and Answers about Glucosamine hcl liquid form

glucosamine

Avatar f tn He may not have the enzymes to utilize the Glucosamine like he did before the gastric tube. Glucosamine Hcl is cheaper and it is harder for the body to utilize than the higher quality Glucosamine sulfate. With that being said, Glucosamine sulfate is commonly use in people who have GI problems because it helps to protect the mucus membranes and heal injuried tissue. It is a very important supplement in IBS, Chrones disease, ulcers etc., I feel really bad for you and your dad.
Avatar n tn I went to human vitamin store and got her some glucosamine supplements. I got the liquid flavored glucosamine and the glucosamine soft flavored chew. I know some cannot swallow pills. My dog eats the chews if I slightly warm them. She will not touch the liquid. I would rather put a pill in some meat or something. It is much easier for her to take. I put her back on a food with glucosamine and she isnt having any problems. I learned my lesson about changing foods.

Avatar n tn Go to your local heath store or drug store such as CVS or Walgreens and get a Glucosamine / Chondroitin combination suppliment. It comes in capsule form, tablet, and liquid form. You decide which will be easier to administer to Sassy. This suppliment can not hurt her it can only help her. It is safe to give to her everyday and she should get it everyday at her age. Your Vet will have some that is much more expensive than that in the stores but it is more potent.
1093971 tn?1257833640 What form is the glucosamine in? What is the total daily dose? Are there any other ingredients? What type is the glucosamine? How pure are the ingredients? If you’re considering taking glucosamine with chondroitin you have another ballgame. Since you didn’t ask about the latter I’ll stick to glucosamine by itself. If you search the Internet you’ll see inconclusive evidence of glucosamine having negative effects on blood sugar.
Avatar m tn Also try consuming warm lemon water with pink Himalayan sea salt first thing in the morning and also through out the day which greatly helps with digestion. Other things to add include HCL capsules or HCL liquid to get the acid in your stomach going and ensure your food is properly digested as the acid will kill any bacteria that comes in contact. ACV has an effect in the stomach that helps it alkaline in which bacteria can't live.
675347 tn?1365460645 I have a 60 pound dog with major arthritis. It's very hard for her to get up on things anymore and get up the stairs. I have 1500 mg glucosamine and 1200 mg conjoint and pills. I would like to start giving it to her but I don't know how much is safe. Should I do one 1500 mg pill two times a day? Or 1500 mg pill once a day? I'd like to start giving it to her in the morning. I can't seem to find much information online.
Avatar f tn Add high quality fish oil, a good price/quality LIQUID fish oil is from alimentnutrition or maybe caps from trueprotein.com . Or you can get any other, but take a look at fish source...sardines are the best ones. so about 10-15g a day with meals. Probiotics can help too together with digestive enzymes and HCL Try a low carb diet, 100-150g protein, healthy fats (like fish oil, almonds, coconut oil...) and a lot green vegetables (no other carbs then from green vegetables).

Avatar f tn He was on the Oxyfast liquid (Oxycodone HCL) this is equal to the Oxycotin pills. He was on them for 4 years. We are going to go after the doctor. I contacted an attorney yesterday. He went into the hospital with severe withdrawal symptoms and with him having a heart condition this turned into a very serious issue because he almost blew his aortic valve and he almost died.
Avatar f tn The only one you might want to be careful with is the HCL betaine, which is a short-term supplement generally speaking. The more important issue is why you're taking them and when. For example, proteolytic enzymes can be used for digestion, in which case they are taken with a meal or just after or just before, whereas if used for inflammation they must be taken apart from food by a couple of hours for best effect.
Avatar n tn Many years ago my family had a little mini poodle (about 17 pounds) and suddenly she became _paralyzed_ in her back legs. We were terrified. We live not far from an amazing vet hospital, (Univ of Pa) and she did need surgery as I believe it was two discs (now I wonder if it was vertebrae?) that started putting so much pressure on her spinal nerve it would have fully paralyzed her if they hadn't taken them out. She did very well and lived a full life after the surgery.
Avatar f tn I just recently started taking glucosamine and Chondroitin to help my knee recover from a dislocated patella. but for some reason my contact lenses have become very dry is that a side effect of the glucosamine??. Avatar m tn Dear Doctor, I am a para-medical PhD student, and I used embalmed cadavers for my research. Yesterday I was dissecting blood vessels in muscle tissues. The vessels did have semi-liquid blood inside them. while dissecting I pricked my finger with the scalpel which had some blood on it. The wound wasn't bad, but still bleeding a little. I squeezed some blood out and washed my finger. I am not sure how well the cadaver is embalmed and I know it has not been screened.
Avatar m tn My dog weighed 28-30lbs and the correct dose for her was 500mg Glucosamine per day. The vet said the 'human' Glucosamine was fine to use, so long as the dosage was correct for the dog's weight. So it depends what your dog's weight is, how much you can increase the dose. As far as I can make out, dogs (and humans too) respond differently to Glucosamine. With some there are great results, and with some, not much improvement. You could mention this to your vet perhaps.
