ive been giving my dog which is 17kg 1000mg of glucosamine every day for a week which i will now reduce to 500mg a day is there any thing else i should give him with this or is glucosamine alone ok my dog has early signs of arthritis in his back legs its a bit of an effort for him to get up now he is 10 yrs 3mths old and had cruciate ligament surgery back in may last yr and in the other leg about 5 to 6 yrs ago

Its a law here, but since we moved the dog license bureau doesn't know where we are now, so I haven't renewed her license, and won't be forced to get the rabies shot. The only problem I can forsee is the vet, they give me a hard time because I won't give my cats, especially the old ones, rabies and other shots. I'm sure they will give me a harder time for the dog, because she does go outside, even though shes with us or just hangs very near the house.

I just recently started taking glucosamine and Chondroitin to help my knee recover from a dislocated patella. but for some reason my contact lenses have become very dry is that a side effect of the glucosamine??. Can anyone tell me why doxycylene should not be given to pregnant or nursing cats/ I have a pregnant kitty who has developed a bad resperitory infection. She really needs an antibiotic now, I thought doxycyclene was about the safest and most effective med to clear up this particular infection (rhino). Could someone help me here????
