gas pain lower left back

Please someone help us I beg of you Doctors do the research find out what is causing this pain when we lay down! Pain only on left side lower back by kidney sometimes accompanied by servere gas and pressure on stomache.

I have had lower pain in my left side and around my back for 5 days. It feels like gas but took medicine and did not help. it hurts when i eat and then have to go to bathroom what could this be?

I've had a VERY mild and VERY sporadic pain in my lower left abdomen that has come and gone over the past two weeks. I have no other symptoms. Any ideas on that this could be?

I have this weird problem, I don't think its a big one, but it definitely gets my attention. Sometimes the lower left section of my back will make a "stomach rumbling" feeling. This has been going on for 2-3 weeks now. There's no pains what so ever or any other symptoms, just the rumbling. I can't hear it but I can feel it. Sometimes it will do it once a minute, sometimes once an hour. Even more if i pay attention to it.

Last night, right after work, I started having severe pain in my lower back/right side. I had a terrible time sleeping (cold not get comfortable in any position...hurt worse to lay on my left side than on my right...lying on the left cause my right side to hurt worse.) and woke at 2am in severe pain. My husband gave me 2 advil PM and it eased the pain enough to allow me to sleep in a propped up position. the pain is not nearly as intense, but is still there all day today.

I have lower adbominal pain on my left side. Very tender to touch. What could be wrong?

Hmm..maybe it's gas pain? Although, my lower back did hurt very badly when I was about 11 weeks, to the point where I would have to crawl to get anything or go to the bathroom. It was a sharp pain almost in my tail bone though. I do not know what you're having, but you will find that pregnancy does come with very strange pains in places that you didn't even know existed. =] good luck.

It could be gas, When I get a gas lock I get a pain like that and it lasts probably 5 hours or until I release gas. LOL, but I could be wrong.... It could be something else?

I have been suffering with IBS for a number of years with having abdominal pain in my left side around lower back and left rib cage mainly. I have tried many herbal remedies and been to the doctors so many times I just forget how many it is now! I was loosing hope and thought there was no cure for IBS sufferers. I am a 26 year old female weight 216, height 5'9 - in general good health. Starting one week ago Friday I had a horrible pain in the top of my stomach right in the middle just below my breasts. The pain continued for three days. Friends and family told me that the pain sounded like that of an ulcer. I took some over the counter meds - (mylanta, pepto, pepcid,) and a couple rx (prilosec & previcid) to no avail.

Also I realized sometimes it was gas lodged in my back so a nice rub down often helped move it along. Good luck.

Hi, my partner and I found out on Wednesday that we are pregnant, this will be my second child but im having a lot of pain in my lower left abdomen. I was sent straight to hospital on Wednesday night with querie ectopic pregnancy and I've had 2 scans. I'm 5 weeks pregnant and im a little worried because although they can see what they call a fluid sack they can't rule out an ectopic.

On Wednesday 16th June 2010 I got up with a severe pain in my left buttock leaving me unable to walk. [ I suffered a stroke ten years ago and my right hand and foot are paralyzed] I managed subsequently to walk with extreme difficulty. Though I have not experienced the piercing pain ever after thatstill I have some persisting pain in the lower part of the abdomen radiating to the back and legs. The pain is very prominet at the mid back, lower abdomen above the navel on the right side and below the navel and the left side and on both thighs upto calves of the legs. I am 18 years old, and in healthy shape. I don't have any health problems, except that I get from time to time really bad lower back pain. I always tend to have pain just in one particular are of my back, which is the lower left part. Hi, I have had had an aching pain in my lower left back, about an inch left of my spine. Right above my butt, I have had it about 2 months. The pain only seems it's worst while laying or sitting. I have no history of back pain, or ANY type of injury.

I will also randomly get numbness/tingling sensations in my whole lower body, basically from my lower back/lower abdomen, all the way down to my feet. this will last about an hour or so at a time. but this does not usually occur with the back pain. so i dont, im not real sure whats causing it.. any ideas??

I have sharp shooting back pain. Only on the left side and only in my lower back. Im headed to Dallas this weekend. And my doctor charges $25 a phone call or I would call. It been going on for about three minutes. Any ideas what it could be?
