I have the same problem sometimes, its most likely gas pain. When I need to relieve gas pain in my chest and upper back I drink about 2-3oz of lemon juice in a glass of water and take a few gas x. It helps me a lot. Try not to drink carbonated beverages after 6pm, and drink the lemon water after dinner and before bed to help relieve the pain all night long, It works wonders for me.
Because chest pain can be something serious you really need to get seen by a dr. It's possible it's nothing more than acid reflux, but it could be something much more serious so it's not worth the risk.
If you feel any dizziness, shortness of breath, extreme pressure in your chest or severe nausea you should get to the ER.

I had fried foods last night and this morning and all day experienced a painful chest and back. It seems I can't relieve myself from this. And how sure am I that it is gas? I feel like I need someone to pound on my back for added relief...
I have been having back pain around my right scapula for 10 months. About 5 months ago I went to a ortho back dr. and he said it was a pinched nerve. I did physical therapy for 3 months but it didn't seem to help. About a month ago I had ab cramping in between my ribs. Now the pain in my back is going around under my arm and into my chest and ribs. I've gained a few pounds within a few weeks, my stomach seems distended and i have frequent loose stools, but not much gas. My general dr.
For the past 9 months, I have been experiencing a discomforting pain on my right chest area. The pain is not in the whole chest area. It is centralized "between", my breast and shoulder blade. When I turn or bend on the right side, I experience a sharp stabbing pain. I find that my pain level would be a 10, if I am experiencing gas discomfort (from not eating on time, or ingesting a gas producing food) , but, my pain level would generally be on a pain scale of 4-6 (daily).
I have really bad chest pain it's a very uncomfortable feeling I'm a Ftm & I'll be 28 weeks tommorow . I never experience nothing like this. It feel like something is trapped in my chest like its a whole lot of pressure. How do I get this to stop??
I am 19 years old. I have a lot of crepitus at shoulder and cracking (also along right arms) continue to bother me now almost 6 months. The doctor said ' this is the chronic shoulder pain'. I'm confused. I don't feel such pain. Except if i carry heavy load, i felt pain at upper chest. But i do feel very tired, i mean a real tired, include back pain/tired most of the time. Numbness on-off. Is that considered pain? The doctor set me on MRI. still havent done yet.
I have been experiencing chest pain in my left breast along with back and shoulder pain. It can sometimes last for days on end and is very painful and scary. I have gone to the emergency room twice, the first time I was having a full blown anxiety attack. I was kept there overnight on a heart monitor after having an ekg done. When i saw the cardiologist in the am, he informed me that I have an irregular heartbeat but it was nothing to be alarmed about.
At present I have dull Chest pain ,which with little exertion becomes worse,have back pain and stuck gas/air in the chest area...during these times i had experiences lower abdomen pain too(but stones were ruled out in test)..have pain below the right rib cage too...
I want to ask if there could be even something else or what tests should i do to check for any other conditions...
So far my chest X-ray,Ultrasound is clear...what cud be the reason for prolonged sickness.
I am a 26-yr-old female and for the past couple weeks I have been experiencing some pain in the left side of my chest. At times, it will come on suddenly, as though there is a giant bubble that won't pop and is so painful its hard to breath. It usually last a min or two. Most of the time, there is just a dull pain that continues in that area and sometimes spreads to the shoulder and upper arm. I am concerned because it is becoming more frequent but I am not sure what it is.
Im 26 and started having chest pain in my sternum area i thought i was having a heart attack but a few days later now im coughing and trying to clear my throught kinda feels like im getting a cold.
but before these, like a year ago, i also got bad chest pain. usually lasted for a couple hours then it just turned out to be gas. i still am perplexed to this day. i noticed that drinking water,eating whole grains, and sleeping helps. try that. but if you got a lot of tests done then it has to be benign. dont worry, even though i know it hurts. just try the things i said and tell me how they work.
