For example I cycle alot and have gotten calf cramp twice while riding, both times were when I put my foot down awkwardly on tip toe and the leg just went immediately into cramp with no warning.
Swimming can sometimes bring it on, the free floating feeling seems to be the cause there rather than the movements involved.
Most of the time I get a second or two warning to straighten my leg, but sometimes it just goes right into cramp.
I have suffered for the last 10 years from a sweaty sock body odor. Everywhere I go people make comments about a foot odor. My feet don't smell. I have had all kinds of bloodwork, been to lots of doctors, and nothing seems to connect. I scrub with antibacterial soap, I have used foot odor products, I eat healthy and etc.
The only think I can link it to maybe is Bacterial vaginosis and UTI's.
Being on an antibiotic or a fungal (diflucan, ketoconazole) does not help.
Can anyone relate?
If the orthopedist has not done a foot and ankle fellowship usually but always not a good choice. The podiatrist should be board certified by the American Board of Podiatry Surgeons; no others are a true surgical board. In my area (Portland, Oregon) there are a number of fine orthopedic surgeons that have specialized training in the foot, as well as excellent trained podiatrists.
My 75 year old father, a chronic Type I diabetic for over 50 years, has his one leg amputated due to foot gangerene. He now has severe pain in the other leg. Short of another amputation, is there any way to reduce his pain in the leg?

This thing... I want to say I understand what is going on and I understand the message they are trying to convey but its starting to look a lot like the other "occupy" thing. When a foot is hot and sweaty, the sock sticks to the foot. The sock and foot then rub against each other and the inside of the shoe causing peeling of feet.
Wear shoes that fit properly and keep feet as dry as possible. Wearing wet shoes, boots and socks will increase your chance of developing peeling . So change socks regularly.
And use foot powder to help keep your feet dry.
I will be relaxing and all of a sudden I get severe, very painful muscle spasms that bend my foot so bad it feels like my foot is going to break right in the arch and my little toe and the toe next to it usually spread out in some kind of spasm spreading out to the side and my other toes turn under. I have no idea what is happening. I have to grab my foot and really force it back to a normal position as well as my toes, which is very painful. Then it will start all over again.
My parents told me that it will go away in like three months but now it has been eight and I am pretty damn sure it has not faded at all!
I am so hopeful because I will be able to get my shoulder and foot fixed...And hey, if there is anyone wanting to go to Disneyland, I can sign in three people for both parks..If you do we need to make a plan...I do go to California quite a bit as I have two daughters that live there...Hugs everyone...I will check in when I come back...46 days today...
Hi my toe (the third on the left foot) has this really dry hard skin. It is rock hard and kinda dark. I applied a ton of Vaseline and it went away twice. My skin then dried up again and came back. Its starting to spread to my middle toe too now. It’s now rock hard and I don’t know what to do. Is there a cure? Any solutions?
Now still i have some issues like body paid, sleepy mode, and few days back i notice that in both legs swelling if forming and getting difficulty of pain in the foot and joints including walking difficulties. could please help me these all the post viral fantique syndrome of dengue and i have consult doctor or it may be new disease since there is swelling on both legs, need to check the kidney functions ?
Thank you so much for the reply. A jelly-leg is exactly what it feels like. I spent 20 years on the Southern Oregon Coast, hence why I like Eastern Oregon semi-desert. But we have sure had enough snow rain and cold to last me a good long while!...and my pcp has said I can increase the Lyrica, in 50mg increments, may start that in am.............
