flonase and bloody nose

At first, I started having bloody noses, but then that stopped and this current symptom started. My doctor had said it may make the nose very dry and to try saline solution once daily after the Flonase. I have yet to do that, but it's supposed to help. Hope that helps.

With the above background I have noted in recent days, perhaps as many as ten, that when I give my nose a hard blow the left side may release some bloody looking mucus, and some small but easily visible solid material that looks to be coagulated blood and dried mucus (can't make it any more pleasant, sorry). This had not yet caused any flowing nose bleeds, none since the ER episode noted above. My question is: Is such bloody content an indication of something that requires treatment?

I'm a first time mommy and I've never had a problem with nose congestion before I became pregnant but now I have to blow my nose 12+ times a day and its mixed with blood every time I'm now 16+2 and its been going on since week 6 everyday is this normal?

I think your son definitely should be seen by an ENT. Having strep throat 8 times in a year is definitely out of the norm. Strep throat that is treated effectively, in itself, shouldn't be a problem for the heart, however, since you say that your son has had rashes with some of the strept throat episodes, it sounds like he may have had scarlet fever along with the strep - and that can definitely cause heart problems down the line.

I generally take Flonase. About a week ago the allergies and sinuses really got a hold of me and i had horrible sinus pressure, felt really spacey, had ear fullness and pain, felt a little off but no ear infection. I got put on a antibiotic. I then just started the Flonase back up. One day i felt short of breath off and on. I also took a Zyrtec. I almost went to the hospital because i felt bad and felt like my allergies/ sinuses were causing it. I also have anxiety.

I started to get a "thick mucus" feeling back in February and was irritated enough that I went to see an ENT. She didn't see anything immediately wrong so she gave me flonase which did not work. The mucus is almost impossible to cough up, so I just have to wait for it to come up naturally. When it doesn't come up as one big blob, it is usually clear but thicker than what I'm used to.

There are many reasons for post nasal drip and tinnitus. If your nose is still running, could it be sinusitis? Do notice any weird smells from your nose? Headaches? A chronic sinus infection will cause post nasal drip. But it could be that one month with Flonase isn't long enough to get your symptoms under control. I would say 2 months would be more reasonable to decide if there is something else. this type of therapy takes a while for things to set in.

I cant talk too much, otherwise i start feeling dry my nose and mouth, and get fatigued. Then my tongue feel dry and gets white. I feel better when i scrape the white stuff off, but comes back often. Its been going on for 4-5 years. Its start to sleep well, and function with these issues. Doc put me on Flonase didnt work. HELP !!

I had this and they said it may have started for me with a virus. Anyway, what helped was a ear nose and throat doctor recommending backward ear popping. Hold nose, blow out and your ears will pop. I had eustacian tube dysfunction and this helped the situation. I did the reverse popping often. See if that works at all for you.

also - i went to an allergy clinic - i had intolerance to mushrooms bananas and yeast! and ive cut out these things in my diet and im much better !

I had FESS and Setoplasty one week ago, today. I have noticed that the sit of my nose where my deviated septum had been seems to still be significantly inflamed and that the generalized area around where the maxillary sinus would be hurts as well. Perhaps the most annoying, is the fact that my upper left molars kill. is this likely just residual inflammation from the surgery itself?

I just finished my 3rd round of antibiotics and Flonase but I still have facial/neck pressure and feeling like my nose it stuffy all the time and someone is pushing on my cheek. I had a CT done in the ER because the pressure was so intense, that showed Mild Para nasal sinus disease/mucoperiosteal thickening. I saw my ENT and she said since I have been having issues for so many years that she wants to go in and clear out my maxillary sinuses, reduce my turbinate's and shave my septum.

I was wondering why i have swelling along both sides of my nose. There is no pain or redness.

first it was paxel...i was sitting down playing piano and my nose started gushing blood..it was freaky...that was it i stopped paxel and went on zoloft...i think maybe the paxel dried out inside my nose ...the paxel was so stong for me....so it could be dehydration from one of the meds...are you going to the bathroom ok?..drinking lots of water..is your house real dry?......good luck...

A bloody nose is something common in pregnancy. I am now 35 weeks and since I was about 17 weeks I have always woken up with a bloody nose. It wasn't noticeable until I blew my nose. Its nothing to freak out about. Just apply a warm wash rag over your nose when you notice it's been hardened.

I'm 14 weeks pregnant and 17, I've never in my life had a bloody nose until this past week. This week I've had at least 2 each day. At school, at home, and at the gym even. The air has not been dry at all and I've added a humidifier to the house. Is this normal or should I go to the doctors?

It's such an annoying symptom of pregnancy! My nose is stuffy all the time and when I blow it, it's always bloody. I think it's to do with the increase in blood flow to all the blood vessels etc.
