Avatar n tn I generally take Flonase. About a week ago the allergies and sinuses really got a hold of me and i had horrible sinus pressure, felt really spacey, had ear fullness and pain, felt a little off but no ear infection. I got put on a antibiotic. I then just started the Flonase back up. One day i felt short of breath off and on. I also took a Zyrtec. I almost went to the hospital because i felt bad and felt like my allergies/ sinuses were causing it. I also have anxiety.
7993104 tn?1396090856 It is appropriate for you to have a sleep study but you should ask your doctor if you might have asthma; a condition that is often worse during the night and on awakening.
Avatar m tn Hi there, I have a similar condition where if my post nasal drip start my asthma starts and I was on Flonase, Singular, Claritin and nothing Seems to work.. have you been treated yet?
Avatar f tn Flonase is a potent synthetic corticosteroid often prescribed as treatment for asthma and allergic rhinitis. It is not really recommended nor needed to treat foliculitis. ref:http://en.wikipedia.
454221 tn?1259445739 My lung doc said I had severe allergies to dust mites and I have put covers on my mattresses and pillows and taken my claritin and flonase and it seems to make a difference. But since I had to move heavy mattresses and did a lot of vaccuming my neck feels tense. I have had this problem since I got my new carpet cleaner and all the other problems. Could this all be due to an injury?
Avatar f tn Hello Community! About 3 weeks ago, I started having some breathing problems. I was at a computer working on a research project and it scared me that I felt I was not breathing as much as I should. It was like a "shortness" of breathe. I take adderall, so I monitored my heart and pulse on it for two days and off it for three and everything turned out normal (76bpm 72/110 avg), so I ruled that out. I then realized that I can't breathe through my nose (DUH! :).
Avatar m tn I went to the doctor and was put on a nebulizer and diagnosed with allergies and acute bronchospasm. I was prescribed Flonase, Claritin, and an Albuterol inhaler to use when needed. The symptoms went away for a few days (it seemed like after the first roach treatment) but now they are back. I noticed that they seemed to get better once they sprayed for roaches, but I also woke up with what seemed like dirt in my nostrils.
7003050 tn?1390124013 No. I use a Netty pot with sterile/preboiled water to decrease the symptoms. Went to see my Ob and allergist. I'm continuing my claratin and singular. Allergist changed flonase to rhinocort (super expensive). They want me to avoid triggering another bad asthma attack. That can be harmful to baby. Hope you feel better.
Avatar f tn I was also told I have acute sinusitis ( I was going through nearly two Kleenex boxes a week with all my nose blowing and constant nose tripping ) and was provided Flonase. The heart eeg came back abnormal so I did a second one with a similar result and was referred for a year echo which came back normal. After the 5 week antibiotic stints and using the Flonase for the prescribed 10'day period I did see some significant relief but sadly it's all slowly came back .
Avatar m tn I can ride a bike at a reasonable pace or jog slightly faster than a walk but anything above that I feel my chest tightening and feel like im about to pass out. I have had every test possible for asthma and they all say negative. I've also had a heart echo and a stress echo both of which showed nothing wrong. Im currently on advair, singular, and flonase and with them I dont ever have these symptoms unless im doing any heavy activity. My doctors dont have a clue.
Avatar f tn My son started this noise over 6 months ago. At first we thought he was clearing his throat but the dcotor called it a cough, as he's inhaling before it happens. She heard a wheeze in his chest and is sending him to a pediatrician. She's thinking asthma, but I've never heard anything like it. Fast forward to 0:45 and 1:30 in the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?
Avatar f tn Those issues include depression, increasing fatigue, adult onset asthma, elevated triglycerides (hyperlipidemia) and others. I simply thought my body was aging, especially since I'm menopausal and have not had a monthly cycle in 2 years. Oh, I was diagnosed about 15 years ago with PMDD; always had PMS but it became untenable. I currently do not have the results of my bloodwork.
746512 tn?1388807580 I tried Flonase (2 sprays twice daily for each nostril) and had no effect. However if I breathed really deep in, the spray seemed to loosen my chest and made it feel better for 15 minutes or so. The allergist did peak flow meter and the values were normal, also had full pulmonary function tests done and they came back normal as well. The problem was both of those appointments were middle of the day and I felt fine during them. Does this sound like mild asthma?
Avatar f tn I currently am on Advair 5000, Singulair 10mg, Prednisone, Claritin, Mucinex, Flonase, Albuterol (fast and nebulizer) and Xolair injections every two weeks (300mg). To this date I still have problems weekly-monthly. I am not getting better. Coughing seems to be my biggest symptom, I cough so much and so hard that I start hyperventilating. My doctor says there is not much more he can do medicine wise. My life is totally a disaster.
Avatar f tn I am on amoxicyllin for last 8 days now and also taking Flonase and singulair for asthma, I get 100-101 fever every evening. My CBC is normal and my doctor is not worried about my fever and thinks its because of sinus and allergies.
Avatar f tn My Dr has recommended I try singualr along with Allegra and flonase. He had told me the SIngulair will not make me feel funny, cause anxiety or heart palps etc...yet I see there are a lot of negative side effects. Does anyone have any experience on this medicine or just how safe it is?
Avatar f tn My son is 5. Back in the spring he started making this really loud noise, a cross between a throat clear and a cough. It lasted a couple months, got better. Then this summer, it came back. Somedays are worse than others. We tried allergy meds (Flonase and Claritin) and it didn't get any better. We were back to the doctor who listened to his chest and said that she could hear a definite wheeze.
Avatar n tn I am using advair for my asthma and it seems to help with those symptoms and I also have a rescue inhaler Flovent. But i do clean my advair diskus before and after each use. I dont have any infections in my mouth or lung i just have the white mucus and it has only been happening for two months and I have been using the advair about a year now. I heard from someone that the white mucus could be from allergies...is that true?
Avatar n tn I am currently only on Flovent and Flonase and they added 25 mg of Atenelol to lower my heart rate which was still occasionnally running in the high 80's and lower 90s after getting rid of Mucinex and taking prednisone. This treatment has been successful so far. Is the asthma causing the tachycardia or vice versa? Will this eventually go away? I have recently been cleared for mild exercise again - will this help the tachycardia? Would weight loss help as well.
Avatar m tn t call off but once or twice a year if that i have a question i have been really healthy never had much breathing problems sense right before Easter when i had really bad acid reflex had a stuffy nose off on over the winter thought it was from dairy products or might have been a side effect from the otc prilosec i was taking because i stopped the dairy and stopped taking the otc prilosec not knowing that it would have a rebound effect acid kept coming up in my throat when i was sleeping would c
Avatar n tn My (3rd) family doctor want me to see a pulmonologist but I swear its not my lungs. I have been told, bronchitis, reactive airway disease and asthma but nothing for sure just "possibly". I will give you the run down.. symptoms runny nose, watery/itchy eyes, sore throat, ear pain, horrible pressure on my palette, constant swallowing and a cough that is now considered chronic that is productive of clear phlegm and is formed in tiny balls/maggots?
Avatar n tn As a young toddler she suffered from mild case of wheezing and out grew asthma. Then she would have the sensation of having a lump in the throat. She had T & A done 2 yrs ago. Please help us to get her the right kind of treatment.
Avatar f tn I have to take claritan, flonase, and pulmicort. What kind of problems did you go through before you found out it was allergies and did the allergy shots work for you? What other things did you do to control your allergies?
Avatar f tn Family history: My sister & dad have rhinitis. My mom has chronic cough and her PCP said it’s allergic (don't have detail check-up). I had strong allergic reaction to Erythromycin (whole body & face swollen & covered by hives/rash) when I was a kid Since 2010, I started feeling congested at night (bedtime & early morning) and okay in daytime. Occasionally took Claritin because of tickle in throat but nothing serious. Normal daily life & sleeping is fine.
Avatar m tn I have a poodle about 100 lbs. No hair shaved it all off. Still allergic. I can smell the dog as strong as a burning cigar, strong smell! I don't think I smell the dog because after I take antihistamine I can't smell the dog much at all. Make sense? I can smell everything else still. I have been getting allergy shots for pet but it's not helping with my specific dog but has for other dogs, cats ect. My asthma is triggered right away, chocking and sore throat.
Avatar f tn I use it to clean and do laundry and feel like I can at least do some things. I have asthma to, so I have to be extra careful I just didn't think I could deal with a major dust allergy/asthma/shots. Have you asked your dr. for an honest evaluation on the effectiveness of shot therapy involving dust?
