I'm suffering from Urinary Incontinence. I'm 40 year old male. I all ready have an enlarged prostate and had that for many years, but recently I've been dealing with incontinence. I pretty much drip after every time I urinate and it may last for a half hour to hour after urinating. I had a Cystoscopy and a Urodynamic and they didn't find anything wrong with the bladder. My problem seems to be getting worse. I was on medication but it doesn't seem to help.
often have to press on it to release but know that there is still a significant amount of urine left in the bladder when i am done.would bladder training work - similar to training used for incontinence. Please help. My doctor is of no help and this has been going on for a long time. It should be mentioned that i am an otherwise healthy 33 yr old female.

They make a series of small cuts rather than one large one, you only stay 1-2 days in hospital, only have catheter about a week, and the surgeon is better able to preserve the nerves that control ED and incontinence, redusing the risk. The doctor started me on Flomax, but after four days I had to stop. I was dizzy, disoriented, and my vision blurred. Even walking was difficult. My doctor says that my stone problem is due to insufficient emptying of the bladder although, to my knowledge, either from x-ray or my feeling their passage, the stones have originated in my kidneys. He is advising me to have a procedure called a TURP, which sounds pretty unpleasant.
Flomax can reduce the amouht of seman that you produce. It would be unusual though to have this production reduced down to zero unless the man was ejaculating very often. In general terms Flomax is a useful medication with very few side-effects..
, where normal for him means slow urination due to long standing BHP, but not as slow, painful, and dribbling as with Flomax. We are just guessing that the way Flomax works by relaxing muscles is causing these effects. (Could the enlarged prostate end up pressing even more on muscles?? I realize these are just guesses: I have looked at a lot of medical sites, but this does not look like to be listed as a side effect!

Thanks for writing in. Prostatitis is usually not a side effect of use of flomax, indeed it can happen due to BPH, for which flomax is used as treatment. It would be better to get prostrate examination done by a urologist and take opinion for surgery for resolving these symptoms.
Choice of antibiotics depends upon the kind of organism affecting the prostrate.

He takes 5 mg blood pressure med and he takes Flomax daily. When he first started taking Flomax; which he needs to be able to urinate or as he says to keep his plumbing working, anyway, he would have dizzy spells. His doctor said this was normal, a side effect of Flomax. But now lately he has been passing out; I think that is unusual for any medication and I'm worried there may be something else going on.
Can flomax have impact on your sleeping behavior.
i am having tachycardia, chestpain after using flomax - only second pill how long can take the side effects considering that i stopped taking flowmax 36 hours
I have been using finesteride instead of flomax for the last 4 month.
I have one brain and one spinal cord lesion and fairly symptom free currently aside from the constant twitching throughout my body and the CONSTANT urge to pee!!! I have had no incontinence but the urge is always there when there is a flare up. I will ususally go about 2-3 weeks being fine and then comes a flare up that causes the problems:( My neuro pretty much dismissed it as a non-issue.

I have been experiencing retrograde ejaculation from taking Flomax and Uroxatral for several years. Will normal ejaculation return if I stop the medication? How long will it take?

Are you taking Flomax for prostate issues? Flomax works by relaxing the muscles in the bladder and prostate, which leads to improved flow of urine and fewer symptoms of BPH.
