O.k., I just literally four days ago got off of a 10-year Vicodin/Norco addiction. I thought to myself, "I cannot live with all of this muscle tension and pain." Then I myself tried acupuncture yesterday. OMG. My entire right side (which had started out with a shoulder injury ten years ago) was ALL blocked up . . like a brick. Head to toe . . Two hours later . . .through massage and needles, I felt absolutely NO pain whatsoever.

Howdy, I've been dealing with major back and neck pain for the last week. Yesterday around 11a, I took a 5mg Flexeril and boy did it do wonders. After a brief nap, most of my pain greatly subsided. The following hours, about 10p, I did see an uptick in stiffness but nothing compared to the pain before the Flexeril. I know Flexeril has an unusually long half-life, about 18 hrs.

hey lady...somas helped me alot for leg cramps...try wrapping your legs with ace wraps..Your doing awesome and i am so happy for you..i think you would be ok to try taking 2 mg of xanax at bed..(4 -.5)Just don't take them longer than necessary..Do you take them regularly now? call if you need to..dang..I was up all night..i think confused was too...DO NOT go back to the pills......

You will feel normal! No on the flexeril for WD. It could even end up making you feel worse. It definitely won't help right now. I took it once on about day 2 or 3, and it made me more restless than I already was. Good luck!

I've tried both Soma and Flexeril (not at same time!) for muscle relaxers (I have fibromyalgia, lupus, severe arthritis). Really the only side effect I've experienced with the Flexeril is that it makes me VERY sleepy, but when I'm hurting and having trouble getting the rest that I need, that actually is a good thing!

Wow, I'm out of action for at least 16 hours after just one Flexeril! And for the entire next day I'm a space cadet.

I swear by Flexeril! I have dealt with Chiari symptoms for over 20 years now and now if I take a Flexeril right when the headache starts to come on, I fall asleep and wake up as if I never had the headache. It is a miracle drug for Chiari headaches!!

Yes, I guess the doc said it is common to get the irregular heartbeat than they seem to say on the package insert for Flexeril. It worked well for me for 3 weeks and then worked only as a good sleeping pill and took my night sweats away, LOL. I can't take valium because I take klonopin. My FP said I could but I don't think it is a good idea for me. As for you if you don't get bad with drawal by using it once in a while (off and on) instead of every day it would be good.

I had an ER doctor and my OB GYN prescribe this for me while I was pregnant with twins for back pain & abdomen/uterian pain to help get relief and rest from my body having to quickly stretch for 2 babies instead of slowly like normal with one. Long story short after taking baths, using a heating pad, massaging, whining, taking tylonol and stretching with nothing even touch the pain I ended up in ER for a leg ultrasound to rule out blood clot and blood work to be sure calcium and potassium were ok. All tests came back good and my dr gave me a perscription for flexeril which is a muscle relaxer. I am going to bed and hope when I wake up i am pain free!!!

Its been going on for about 2 months now. I could be walking down the hall and i feel hot water on my cheeks and find that im crying. Most the time i dont feel sad or over happy or really anything and there is nothing ever in my eyes when the tears start to fall. I have seen myself cry, my face gets red and my eyes swell up and in all the times i found myself randomly crying my face is never red or my eyes are not puffy.

I presume you know that Amrix is the extended release of form of cyclobenzaprine which is better know as Flexeril. It is a muscle relaxer. I have not taken Amrix but I have taken Flexeril periodically in the past and initially when diagnosed with SIJ Dysfunction about 6 years ago. I tried unsuccessfully to adjust to the medication. It made me drowsy. Than I began taking it only in the evenings and upon waking I had a "hang over" feeling.

I would avoid the alcohol while taking the flexeril completely. If you already were consuming alcohol, I would skip the flexeril for at least 12 hours or more, depending upon how much alcohol you consumed.

m taking Ultram ER 400mg a day, Flexeril for muscle cramps at night, Restoril very night to help me sleep, Norco twice a day for break through pain, Zoloft for depression, a lot of vitamins ad fish oil. My pain never completely goes away, but mostly it's around 5-6 on a scale 1-10. Right now I'm just trying to get it under 10 not having much luck. Good luck to you and welcome.

I took Flexeril at night only (lowest dose) and the first three weeks I was extremely tired all day and even sleep walked during the day for a minute or so and hurt myself. I meant for him to use Flexeril only for a couple of days when he is layed up and not going anywhere. But flexeril does get better after a few weeks but then the pain relieving/muscle relaxing part of it goes away and it becomes a sleep aid.

Im 5w today and started period like cramps. Its very uncomfortable but not super painful. Just scared since I had two miscarriages before this baby and both lost around 5w-6w... I dont even wanna go to the restroom afraid if wiping and seeing blood :/ Im taking it one day at a time...
