Avatar f tn neck, shoulders, upper back, lower back, hips, chest, breast bone (especially to the sides of it), left arm, abdomen Muscles are tender when I touch them, especially arms and thighs Hypoglycemia Weight Gain I've had heart tests, stomach tests, blood tests. Nothing shows up. I'm getting very frustrated and discouraged! Does this sound like it could be fibromyalgia? My only "tender spots" that react for me are my elbows, hips and inner knees (not as painful as hips and elbows).
Avatar n tn My pain also upper right arm and can't reach above head, behind me or push down on that arm. X-ray shows I have some bone spurs. Dr. wasn't sure if the spurs have damaged the rotator cuff as that would require an MRI. He is starting out with just physical therapy (go 3 times a week) and wanted me to take anti-inflammatory meds, but stomach couldn't tolerate those. I go back next week for checkup. Dr. said we may try cortezone injection next time to see if that helps.
Avatar n tn About three weeks ago, a purplish blemish appeared suddenly on my upper left arm, on top of the bicep. It wasn't raised, was about five centimeters in diameter, was uneven in circumference, and had a pale center, about the size of pencil top. It cleared up after about a week. I use a tanning bed quite regularly, and I lift weights pretty regularly as well. I also had unprotected vaginal intercourse with a woman a few days prior to the appearance of the blemish.
Avatar n tn When I don't eat it hurts, when I do eat it hurts or burns more. Especially on my left side. I will have severe attacts on left side under left breast that will knock me to the floor and I can't get up or move. I cry, I scream with the pain. I've hurt so bad I have lost my breath and thought I was passing over. But felt my will to live brought me back. Sometimes I have cramps so bad it feels like I am having a baby. My Doctor says I have IBS and Fibromyalgia.
Avatar m tn The numbing to a deep ache in your left arm, could be a result of a severe upper digestive disorder such as acid reflux. Associated symptoms could be stiffness in the neck (like fire sometimes), bazaar ***** like pains in the scalp, and the hanging left arm. If you had shortness of breath, numbness left side of your face, associated symptoms with stroke than it could be stroke.
Avatar n tn get this diagnosed, but I didn't expect to hear that I have Fibromyalgia and bursitis and tendentious. I can tell you that for the muscle pain in the forearm and upper arm, Biofreeze worked wonders. A few days ago I sent some of the Biofreeze to a friend who has carpel tunnel and some other things and she is trilled at how well it works for her. She said she had cut her pain meds in half. My Dr.
434278 tn?1324709825 The pain across the back of your shoulders is very typical of fibromyalgia. It is not uncommon for lupus patients to also have fibromyalgia. The one thing that seems to help with fibro is sleep. I take a benadryll and a melatonin to help me sleep. I'm not saying that you only have lupus. I was also told that all I had was fibro and deep don I knew I had more than fibro. I know people w/ fibro and they have never been as sick as I was.
Avatar n tn About 4 months ago I began experiencing heaviness in my left arm, as if it weighed more than the right one. This was accompanied by mild pain on the left side of my chest. I figured my arm had just given out from playing piano ( I'd been practicing obsessively), took a few weeks off, and waited for the pain to go away. It only got worse. I started experiencing sharp pain in my left arm, along with severe heaviness in both the chest and arm.
Avatar f tn For the last couple years I have had an annoyance under my arm when I lie down and rest my arm on my side. Feels like my sleeve or sheet is bunched under my arm but, it isn't. Now the last month that area is painful and I am having tingling and crawling sensations all up and down my arm along with weakness. At times it is almost impossible to get comfortable. Having fibromyalgia doesn't help this discomfort.
211940 tn?1267884866 I have been experiencing this same pain in my upper left arm for about 9 months. In the last month, it has also shifted to the right side. I have slept with my arms behind my head for years. With this pain, that is no longer possible. When I do sleep this way, I wake up with terrible pain and have to use my right arm to lower the left. I've felt very "brushed off" by my doctor. He clearly has no idea what it causing the pain.

Avatar f tn Very 1st symptom was a weird left sided twitch from upper left side of head down through eye to arm. It kind of jerked my body to the left, or caused me to jerk to left. I then started getting tired, I mean exhausted, sleepy. I never fell asleep watching tv or a movie, but suddenly I was coming home from work and if I sat on couch before I made dinner I was out, and worse I was unable to be woken up. This exhaustion and tiredness excreased as did the left sided twitches.
Avatar m tn Concerning issues have been underway for 4 weeks. Week #1 - occasional twitchy pinky finger on right hand. Pain in hand, wrist, upper arm. No loss of strength or range. Saw my GP he said it was classic carpel tunnel (ulmer nerve under the elbow). Told to change work station. Week #2 - minor tingly and some subtle numbness in mostly arms and feet. Tingly and numbness was off and on - seemed to be more at rest and night? Sometimes numb patches upper arm, face, and lips which were short lived.

Avatar n tn I have stopped sweating on the left side of my face and left arm. I have fibromyalgia and RLS. From what little I am able to find on this anomaly it refers to sympathetic nerve dysfunction. The causes are not clear, but refer in some articles to lesions. Is there any information out there on this at all?

1578792 tn?1310893478 I have chronic pain in my left shoulder, left arm, neck, and upper back. Recently I have started experiencing some of these issues on the right side but the main region of pain is left sided. I am always tired and often I do not even want to get outta bed no matter how many hours I slept. I often have a weakened hot and cold feeling through my painful areas and I can never stay in one position for very long. I have a constant crunching/grinding feeling/sound over the left shoulder and back.
5884898 tn?1376071486 I also have severe pain in my upper left arm almost exactly mid-way between my shoulder and elbow. About 99% of the time, this pain occurs when I am laying on my right side. I have aortic valve regurgitation and I wonder if this could be a symptom of that? My cardiologist has been monitoring the valve and says that it is still a 'minor' problem and does not think I need surgery at this point? does anyone know if the valve prob could be related to this pain?
Avatar f tn Major confusion Virtually no short term memory burning/electric pain down back and in left arm and leg (I've don't the 240 shuffle before and it's pretty darn close) on/off tremors (some mild some body wracking) numbness in the face (mostly just the nose and upper lip) horrible fatigue in the afternoon I fall asleep no matter what (not the drained feeling I used to be) chest tight pain that makes it nearly unable to breath major constipation/bladder issues in addition to the pain, headaches,
Avatar f tn In the mean time, I consulted an Orthopedic who gave me 10 injections of Vitamin B and told me that I am suffering from “FIBROMYALGIA”. I took 20 sessions of physiotherapy which included IFT and US therapy. He asked me not to take too much stress, sleep properly and so on. There after I tried to follow what ever he said but pain was still there and was getting worst day by day.
Avatar n tn It came on my left foot, then leg and sometimes right foot. Then it showed up on my left arm and the left side of my face 2 1/2 months ago. My GP ordered and MRI with and without:normal. Did labs of CBC, CHEM 7, thyroid, lupus , not sure what else: all normal. I saw a neuro last week. Did exam:normal. Says does not look like MS or other problem and to come back if worse or lose fx. So, What can I do to relieve this numbness?
Avatar f tn I don't know anything about Dercums, but over thge last year and a half I have fought with a fibromyalgia lump in my left foot. The feeling that my foot is 'asleep' as you say accompanies pain and swelling in that area. I found the lump in the center of my instep and used the same pressure/heat/message technique on it as well.
Avatar f tn I am a 28 year old female.. For the past 2 years, on and off...I get this weird pain in my upper left arm...most times it feels like a tight muscle or pinch or squeeze, sometimes I get a burning sensation or tingling, but I basically always feel it. It doesn't 'hurt', but it is very uncomfortable and bothersome...I always think there is something majorly wrong with me, and overthinking the arm pain gives me anxiety! And that doesn't help, cause then I feel it more! It's a vicious cycle.
Avatar n tn Dear Doctor, For approximately 3 years now I have been suffering from chronic upper back pain with headaches, neck pain and left arm tingling. The upper back pain being the worst of it. It took pulling teeth but an MRI was finally done on my lumbar, thoracic, and cervical spine. Pre MRI xrays were done as well. The findings showed mild C5-6 and C6-7 neural foraminal stenosis possibly secondary to mild bony overgrowth of the associated uncovertebral joints.
Avatar n tn I went to the ER when it first started and was really bad. My entire left side was tingling, including the left side of my face, my left arm, leg and foot. It only happens on the LEFT side. When I walked it felt like my left ankle was just going to give out on me, it felt really weak. I was also EXREMELY dizzy. I was admitted and these symptoms were strong and lasted for over a day. I was in the hospital for 2 days and they ran a CT scan, an MRI, blood tests, and all came back negative.
Avatar n tn Does the endometriosis actually cause you pain in your upper left side or only lower left? To Michaele: I have heard other people (including my chiropractor) comment that gallstones can cause pain on the left side, even though the gallbladder is on the right side. How did they find the gallstones - throught the ultrasound exam?
Avatar n tn These are the symptoms I started experiencing a couple of nights ago..left arm sort of numb, chest pain in left part of chest, sometimes felt in my back. Earlier I noticed other things wrong with only the left side of me. Ear ache and headache in my left side, also a little numbness in left leg. I would think it was lower back problems (pinched nerve) except for the pain in my chest, and my blood pressure has been high. I was thinking it was my heart.
Avatar n tn ) I found I was so stiff I could hardly get out of bed, and I could not lift my left arm above my head. I felt like I had been hit by a lorry. However, by the time I was moving around the stiffness had gone within about ten minutes, and the pain had lessened but I was aware of soreness in the muscles all day when ever I moved or used my arms. I thought perhaps I was getting the flu, or had a virus, or had slept awkwardly.
