Avatar f tn You might ask your dr to let you try Lyrica. You start off at a lower does, then increase it slowly. It helped me with a lot of the muscle spams and pain. But since I am also type2 diabetic, I had to quit taking it as I gained weight on it. I've read that is the main side effect. Neurontin also is good for muscle pain. Good luck, and stay warm this winter. The cold seems to worsen the symptoms.
Avatar n tn This is the reason why you do not have the characteristic and full blown symptoms of fibromyalgia . Please consult an orthopaedist and rheumatologist and discuss this possibility and start the treatment as your symptoms don’t relate to any other disorder but Fibromyalgia . Avatar f tn You know all the doctors always want to put people on antidepressants for Fibro but I've yet to hear that they work at relieving the pain. I know several people like yourself is on something but they still have pain and the numbing and tingling. Have you been offically diagnosed. It sounds like you are one of the lucky ones that its mild, of coarse nobody should have to deal with this at any degree. All that I listed above is what I have experienced.

I went to the emergency room and the doctor and was told it was sciatica and tense muscles probsbly from stress.. after about 3 weeks of this the leg pain and paresthesia went away but i was still having neck and back pain, headaches, muscle twitches . Now i just started having those same symptoms in my rifht side.

I am taking 5 HTP tab 50 mg 1 tab per day and occassionaly taking librocol tab as well. It was started on Jan 2008. My pain is not completely cured, however, it is controlled. This has been going on for about 15 years and it is getting worse. Doctors have done MRI's, an EMG which showed a pinched nerve, a myelogram with a cat scan which showed a perfect spine and no pinched nerve. The pain is unbearable, I have headaches all the time, weakness in my left arm and shoulder, tingling and lightening bolt pains and spasms that shoot down my back and down my legs.

Avatar f tn It seems like this condition happens when I have not much pain and try to get everything I need to do in a couple days and then the next day I cannot move. On a good day if I sit for more than 20-30 minutes I stiffen up and takes a while to move again at all. My knees joints are very painful. My doctors has referred me to a rheumotolgist and suspects this could be my diagnosis.

Alot of doctors don't take fibromyalgia serious, but then on the plus side alot of them do. I have been lucky enough to find a doctor who takes fibromyalgia completely serious. Avatar f tn I have Fibromyalgia and can only work three days a week with days in between and have to sleep 12 hours and two short naps during the days off. This year if I do too much during one day, my upper back spasms into a neck/shoulder pain spasm and causes migraine, and I am bedridden. The only thing that provides relief is a hot bath and codeine and 2 muscle relaxants and one gravol. It has only been that bad for one year.

I get up several times to go to the restroom. I have been having alot of pain in my bladder and back and going to the doctor Tuesday. It is so hard to get motivated when your in pain.
