Is there a chart that I can use to convert fentanyl patch strength to the Opana Er strength?

I agree with addict if you have a script I would try something like rite online or something like that there are legitimate online pharmacies I dot know how hard this might be to do the doctor would most likely have to fax a script.

I have no experiences with Fentanyl, but know you don't want to just go c/t. you need to talk to your doctor about helping you taper. have you explained what is going on because that doesnt sound normal. there will be other online later that has more experience than I. just didnt want your question to go unanswered.

How long does it take for a 100mcg Fentanyl patch to get out of your system for a drug test?

My moms doctor took her from taking 4 percocet 10s a day to fentanyl patch 50 mg every 72 hrs...is this normal? She has rheumatoid arthritis.

t know where else to put this, but I was recently switched from Morphine 60mg ER to the Fentanyl Duragesic patch. I thought the weird flu like symptoms might be a result of the new drug, but apparently it has to be withdrawal from the Morphine. I'm kind of miffed neither the doctor nor pharmacist even mentioned this could happen. I was naive and thought the new medication wouldn't create an issue with the switch, I was wrong.

I use the Mylan Fentanyl patches and wonder if they can be cut to help with tapering. I see a Pain Doc Specialist for my back and chronic pain...last disc replacement was in October 2013. I began taking it even when I did not need it for pain and became addicted and tolerant to the medication... About 5 months ago, I got on Fentanyl Patches at 25mcg then increased it to 50, and now am on 75... I need to get off this and tried last month and I couldn't, it was too hard... t tell you which side effect went with which drug! Do a search online for side effects to fentanyl and you should get a good idea of what may or may not occur. After the fentanyl stopped working for me in the way it should by dosage, I had the wonderful experience of seeing a PA while my doctor was on vacation. This was in Reno, NV. She said, lets try methadone. My extreme pain went away immediately with the first dose and now the dose I take manages the pain that I'm using it for.

I read about this and remember when I quit Fentanyl. Fentanyl did me so much damage, it almost killed me. I went cold turkey which is difficult but worth the result. Keeping you mind strong that you need to get control of you mind and body and not the drugs is the most important focus. ) The FIRST thing that I will tell you is that from MY understanding the Fentanyl is SUPPOSED to be the hardest medication to be able to get off of. AGAIN from MY understanding it is ALSO the STRONGEST pain medication that we can get. It's supposed to be 80 to 100 times STRONGER than morphine. It would be unwise to go CT off 100 mcg of Fentanyl. I did a long, slow taper and still had trouble. It sounds like you may need to involve your doctor in this. They can give you a proper plan to come off and give you some great resources. Drink plenty of fluids ... it's really important to stay hydrated.

Today my doctor switched me to a 25ug/hr Fentanyl patch. I have been wearing the patch for ~2 hours at this point and have some decent relief. I am suppose to leave the patch on for 72 hours as most patients. If I at any point feel nausea (or any reason) and want to remove is that ok? The pain doctor and neurologists tried treating my pain(which is the worst thing to live with for me) with Fentanyl, Dilaudid, etc. and Tegretol, Lyrica, as well. Fentanyl is 100 times stronger than morphine and 50 times stronger than heroin. Do the research. If you ever had to w/d from fent, suboxone for sure would not cover that. I tried the patch and let me tell you, I had noooo pain at all. I got off it just as quick when I did more research.

If the pain is still there, obviously the Fentanyl is not working and you need to address what is actually happening. Fentanyl CAN relieve pain, depending... It also dopes up your mind and body. You have no way of knowing this until you can think clearly and the Fentanyl prevents that clear thinking. Find out what is really going on and GET OFF THE FENTANYL, THIS STUFF IS DANGEROUS!
