Avatar f tn Is there a chart that I can use to convert fentanyl patch strength to the Opana Er strength?
526311 tn?1229286330 I agree with addict if you have a script I would try something like rite online or something like that there are legitimate online pharmacies I dot know how hard this might be to do the doctor would most likely have to fax a script.
1035520 tn?1252646746 I have no experiences with Fentanyl, but know you don't want to just go c/t. you need to talk to your doctor about helping you taper. have you explained what is going on because that doesnt sound normal. there will be other online later that has more experience than I. just didnt want your question to go unanswered.
Avatar n tn How long does it take for a 100mcg Fentanyl patch to get out of your system for a drug test?
Avatar m tn My moms doctor took her from taking 4 percocet 10s a day to fentanyl patch 50 mg every 72 hrs...is this normal? She has rheumatoid arthritis.
Avatar m tn t know where else to put this, but I was recently switched from Morphine 60mg ER to the Fentanyl Duragesic patch. I thought the weird flu like symptoms might be a result of the new drug, but apparently it has to be withdrawal from the Morphine. I'm kind of miffed neither the doctor nor pharmacist even mentioned this could happen. I was naive and thought the new medication wouldn't create an issue with the switch, I was wrong.
Avatar f tn I use the Mylan Fentanyl patches and wonder if they can be cut to help with tapering. I see a Pain Doc Specialist for my back and chronic pain...last disc replacement was in October 2013. All my meds are from him and used as prescribed, I'm just interested in getting through this weaning process quicker you know? I keep getting differing opinions online. Thank you for your help.
Avatar n tn I began taking it even when I did not need it for pain and became addicted and tolerant to the medication... About 5 months ago, I got on Fentanyl Patches at 25mcg then increased it to 50, and now am on 75... I need to get off this and tried last month and I couldn't, it was too hard... My question is, what is the right way to get off of the Fentanyl without wanting to die. I am a registered nurse and am getting my nurse practitioner degree and will be done with my masters degree shortly...
Avatar f tn t tell you which side effect went with which drug! Do a search online for side effects to fentanyl and you should get a good idea of what may or may not occur. After the fentanyl stopped working for me in the way it should by dosage, I had the wonderful experience of seeing a PA while my doctor was on vacation. This was in Reno, NV. She said, lets try methadone. My extreme pain went away immediately with the first dose and now the dose I take manages the pain that I'm using it for.
Avatar m tn I read about this and remember when I quit Fentanyl. Fentanyl did me so much damage, it almost killed me. I went cold turkey which is difficult but worth the result. Keeping you mind strong that you need to get control of you mind and body and not the drugs is the most important focus. You will feel much better once the drug is out of you system and you will be able to think clearer. Keep the advise mentioned here and stay on top of vitamins.
Avatar f tn My pain doc switched me from 4 percs to fentanyl, gradually have gone up to 60mcg's-can I switch back to per before it's too late?
1490116 tn?1304817137 ) The FIRST thing that I will tell you is that from MY understanding the Fentanyl is SUPPOSED to be the hardest medication to be able to get off of. AGAIN from MY understanding it is ALSO the STRONGEST pain medication that we can get. It's supposed to be 80 to 100 times STRONGER than morphine. NOW, I will ALSO tell you that it is WITHOUT A DOUBT the BEST medication that I have EVER had.
516810 tn?1211590206 For the past year I have been taking 75 mcg fentanyl patches every three days.I need and want to stop and get back to living a clean FUN life.I don't get them by prescription so I can not goto a dr to taper off.I have tried on my own and it was total HELL! The thought of those feelings again scares me to death.I read about Suboxone and wonder if someone here can tell me how it worked for them. Also money wise how much did it run?
Avatar m tn Does anyone know if online testing company's are legitimate. I tested with same day testing .com. They sent me to labcorp for my test. Seems leg but just want others opinions.
Avatar n tn I have been taking up to 12 percocets a day (sciatica) and now I've been given Fentanyl Patch (16.5 for a nominal in vivo delivery of 100 mcg/h fentanyl for 72hrs) and don't know what to expect, I'm alittle scared to put it on. Could someone tell me how they feel, I have 9yr old twins and don't want to be too zonked out. Thanks so much for any info, I'm so happy I found this site.
3939907 tn?1348689495 It would be unwise to go CT off 100 mcg of Fentanyl. I did a long, slow taper and still had trouble. It sounds like you may need to involve your doctor in this. They can give you a proper plan to come off and give you some great resources. Drink plenty of fluids ... it's really important to stay hydrated.
Avatar n tn Hi! Thanks for having this online resource! I'm researching the pro's and con's of the fentanyl patch. My fiance has been in a great deal of back pain and is prescribed oxy's, morphine and percocet. However, he doesn't take them because they the only things that work for him are 80's and roxy's that he gets from family and friends.
Avatar f tn I am going to get off the Fentanyl patches and put on Methadone using Suboxone as a bridge .I have never heard of this med called Suboxone.I am on 200mcg of Fentanyl how long will it take to get off the fentanyl?
Avatar m tn Today my doctor switched me to a 25ug/hr Fentanyl patch. I have been wearing the patch for ~2 hours at this point and have some decent relief. I am suppose to leave the patch on for 72 hours as most patients. If I at any point feel nausea (or any reason) and want to remove is that ok? I only get ten a month and for some reason as of now my insurance company wont cover the fentanyl. They are very expensive ~120-140$.
Avatar f tn The pain doctor and neurologists tried treating my pain(which is the worst thing to live with for me) with Fentanyl, Dilaudid, etc. and Tegretol, Lyrica, as well. I find it helps for a while, and then either wears off, or when it gets cold and rains I get worse. On my last MRI 3 weeks ago my Chiari has looked to be getting worse, and USC is arranging a standup MRI soon.
82861 tn?1333453911 One of the most common questions that pops up here is from people who have difficulty keeping the fentanyl patch in place. Lost and ruined patches can be a terrible problem for both the patient and the doctor. We all know early refills of any pain medication are problematic no matter what the reason. I have used the Nexcare brand bandages for years as covers for the fentanyl patch. They were the only bandages that kept the patch in place for the full 3 days.
Avatar f tn I am a 18 year old female and I was involved in a car accident in March 2007. I was at a complete stop and and two cars rear-ended me( the 1st car that hit me.....their car was totaled and the one behind was messed up)..No matter what i do the pain is always there, most of my pain is in the center of my spine and the left side of my upperback and middleback area. The left side of that area gets numb and tingly. I've had 8 MRI'S(3 cervical, 3thoracic, 1 lumbar, 1 sacral).
Avatar f tn This just does not make sense that u had to lie that u were an addict and then only have options like sub. Be careful of the fentanyl patch even though it is excellent for pain relief. Fentanyl is 100 times stronger than morphine and 50 times stronger than heroin. Do the research. If you ever had to w/d from fent, suboxone for sure would not cover that. I tried the patch and let me tell you, I had noooo pain at all. I got off it just as quick when I did more research.
Avatar m tn If the pain is still there, obviously the Fentanyl is not working and you need to address what is actually happening. Fentanyl CAN relieve pain, depending... It also dopes up your mind and body. You have no way of knowing this until you can think clearly and the Fentanyl prevents that clear thinking. Find out what is really going on and GET OFF THE FENTANYL, THIS STUFF IS DANGEROUS!
