Fenofibrate back pain

Common Questions and Answers about Fenofibrate back pain

tricor

Avatar n tn After 7 years of therapy taking Crestor and Tricor (fenofibrate), I, too, started experiencing intense pain in my legs, feet, back, and arms. My Dr. took me off Crestor last month but the pain returned within a few days, although not as intense as it was prior to my stopping Crestor. I took myself off fenofibrate just a couple of days ago and "Wow" what a difference! I can actually sleep at night and notice that the pain is dissipating more and more each day.
Avatar m tn Sideeffects of using fenofibrate are severe stomach pain, muscle weakness, vomiting, fever. Rarely, but it can cause rash, difficulty in breathing which needs immediate attention of the doctor. What kind of foods cause a cloudy urine? Avoid drinking alcohol while taking fenofibrate. Alcohol can raise triglyceride levels, and may also damage your liver while you are taking this medication. Fenofibrate should not be used in cases of cirrhosis of liver, gall bladder disease and kidney disease.
315318 tn?1353251800 Since then even on walking a short distance I get pain in thighs, buttocks and calves. However, no pain in my feet. The pain is felt in the muscles rather than in the bones. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation after angioplasty ? Thanks.
Avatar n tn Ever since I started taking Zetia and Fenofibrate together as recommended by my DR, I have put on pounds, am more bloated around the belly,a nd have persistent chest pains. I noticed this has occurred ever since I have been on cholesterol lowering meds, but is more noticeable in the past year with the new combination of drugs. I mentioned this to my DR and he said I need the drugs because of my High Cholesterol. What do you think?
Avatar m tn my mother,55y, she got her lab result with rising in cholesterol and triglyceride about 3month ago. she started to take fenofibrate 200mg once a day. and now new lab result show normal range of all types of fat. does she need to continue with a maintenance dose of fenofibrate or it isnt necessary?
Avatar f tn Hello~ As you probably know, a total IgE test result that is high means that you may have some kind of allergy, be it food, environmental or drug. But the results of a total IgE test don't show what you're allergic to or how serious your allergy may be. A specific IgE test result that is high means that you may be allergic to the allergen that was tested.
315318 tn?1353251800 Recently , I was prescribed a fenofibrate (Trilipix 135 mg) along with Crestor. My cardio wanted this for helping in getting my triglycerides down. I have not had a lipid profile done since starting on this med two months ago. However, since being a diabetic , I check my blood glucose (BG) many times during the day and what I am noticing is a clear trend in the BG numbers going lower at least over the last month or so.
Avatar n tn and 173lbs non-smoker. I got my test results back and my total cholesterol went down from 165 on 40mg of simvastatin/tri-cor to 150 on 20mg of simvastatin only. However my triglycerides went from 93 to 210. Is that 210 level significant for a male? Any other natural suggestions on lowering this? Should I take more fish oil?
Avatar n tn doctor has adviced me to take rosuvastatin and fenofibrate tablets.can you please tell me whether it helps to reduce weight?
Avatar f tn When i was 18 i started masturbation and gradually the frequency of masturbation increased. When i was 27 the excessive urine problem occured and lower back pain too. I developed having to pee in between masturbation everytime i masturbated.
Avatar m tn There is no conclusive link between high Tri's and heart disease, but most experts agree that there is an additional risk involved. Tri's are easy to lower, cut back on all sugars, breads, pastas and alcohol, that usually is enough. If not, you can try a Fenofibrate which is a very effective drug.
Avatar n tn Your numbers are high, but you need to look at the breakdown. First off, your TGL's should be under 150. Not hard, just cut out the empty carbs like breads, sugars, pastas etc. Also, drinking will elevate your TGL's so don't over do it. You could start on a Fenofibrate like Tricor to lower your TGL's it works well. A statin will not really do that much.
955035 tn?1246539172 I experience night sweats, constant hip and low back pain, foot pain, infrequent abdominal pains (not sure if this is from the hip/back pain). Additionally, I have on occasion I have noticed a strange, ammonia-like taste in my mouth/sinus that reminds me of a strong urine scent from a litter box (sorry, only way to explain it). I have had issues with facial hair since my early 20’s and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to manage.
237039 tn?1264258057 Last year I had my cholesterol tested after a long stretch without having it checked and my trigs came back at 2174. I had always said no to statins in the past because I had infectious hepatitis (not any type C, caught it from my younger brother) as a child and feared I had liver damage from that. But when the doctor called after that test I decided I would try Tricor. (fenofibrate I think is what it is) I took it for a month, then stopped, then again a month later took it for a month.
Avatar n tn Now in Aug-Sep2011 for some other complaint (his RA factor was positive) and he used to play vigorous badminton for 2-3 hours daily for around 6months before and there was pain in legs. So for that, his weight got recorded and shockingly it had reduced to 66-67kg. So 5-6 kg weight loss in 2 months ? Or was the 71kg in Jun2011 WRONGLY recorded ? This was very disturbing as he had NEVER lost weight in last 10 yrs. Then again in Feb 2012 his TGL was 289.
Avatar m tn My dad has a lot of chest pain and pain going down his hand , then doctor advise to go for an angiogram.
Avatar n tn You can google the warnings and side effects of that one. I also take Tricor for my hyperlipidemia. But that is a fenofibrate, not a statin. Have you ever tried the grandfather of statins, Lipitor? Talk to your doctor and get the straight answers.
Avatar m tn Exercise will help increase your HDL which should be over 40. Make sure to ask your doctor before starting any exercise. You can also as about a fenofibrate, they are very effective at lowering your TGLs.
Avatar f tn Meds I am currently on are levothyroxine and fenofibrate. I was on buspirone but just quit that a few days ago. I did have this happen one other time a few weeks ago, but the second time after that everything was normal, so I wasn't worried. I believe at that time I was off the meds or just starting them.
Avatar n tn Less than 150 Your biggest concern should be lowering your LDL. You should cut back on foods high in fat and cholesterol. High TGLs can be controlled by cutting back on empty carbs like Sugars, breads and pastas. Also, if you drink, stop as that will also metabolize as sugar. Also, your numbers are high enough that you really should discuss a statin for your Cholesterol and a fenofibrate for your serum TGLs as life style changes may not be enough.
Avatar m tn Hi I was recently prescribed Fenofibrate to help reduce my high cholesterol levels etc... after a blood test. I have been doing some digging around regarding the drug and it says I should not be taking it if one has Hep B. I haven't found what the reasons are so I was wondering if someone could elaborate why one should not be taking it if one has Hep B. Thanks so much for your help.
Avatar f tn 000 units a weeks allopurinol.
Avatar f tn You could ask your doctor about a fenofibrate like Ticor, they are very effective on serum TGL's and have very few if any side effects. Good luck!
Avatar f tn We have done numerous eye angiograms and other testing. All come back with nothing wrong. I am currently awaiting blood work back from my rheumatologist to see if possibly there could be something to show up in this area that may be causing my symptoms. My "spot" is located in the bottom left quarter of my right eye. The only way I know to describe it, is it appears to be a grayish blob that if I put over the area I am trying to read, I can actually hide some of what I am seeing.
Avatar n tn why can't his HDL and LDL be calculated?
Avatar m tn For example back pain. Now looking back, most if not all of those things seem explainable and related to hypothyroid. Abdominal pain will most likely go away, erectal function could be lower permanently, but you should function better if medicined right, it could come and go in periods. Its hard to say, this is very psycological related as well.
