fainting

Avatar f tn I am 53 and in menopause and I have actually fainted now while driving. My heart was racing and I had a hot flash and then I lost consciousness for 3 or 4 seconds. Went off the road, through a fence and into a field. Very luckily, no one was hurt. This happened a year ago. Had tons of tests done on my heart, blood work, etc. Nothing found. Now, a year later, I'm starting to get the dizzy spells again (not vertigo though, I've had that before).

Usually this helps to pinpoint a reason for the disturbance, or a search on the intet produces favorable results.

Avatar n tn Nausea is a serious symptom. It is impossible to know what it "is" without an evaluation. Yes, it could be "feminine problems", but you really don't know. I'm in the United States and am a firm believer in the Emergency Room of a teaching hospital. These people are really good. Not a visit to the "local practicioner".
Avatar f tn Okay, so I created that EmbarrassedUser login for this specific reason - I have had the weirdest symptom yet, and it's happened four times so far, so it's a documented neurological happening. It'll start out with me feeling pretty good. Then I realize that I'm feeling really good, like pre-orgasmically good. Then it gets worse... or better, depending on your perspective. Avatar f tn 3 months ago I started experiencing weekly episodes of near fainting/fainting. Usually before I have an episode become very spacy and objects seem to sway. 1896537 tn?1381900009 The two situations are quite separate. The reproduction system is controlled by hormones, which are released or not released when menopause is near. As far as is medically known, the nervous system does not affect the reproduction system, so I wouldn't expect one to influence the other. The best way to know for sure about reproductive hormones is to have blood work done. That will clearly show what stage you are in. MS is the culprit in a lot of things, but not this.
