Fainting menopause power surge

Common Questions and Answers about Fainting menopause power surge

fainting

Avatar f tn Yep, swollen hands, ankles and calves throb after walking a few blocks - and I'm a runner! I've read its not so much salt intake (its a myth that we don't need salt, we really do, just Americans eat about 5000mg too much from processed foods) its the hormonal imbalance. B6 helps a great deal - check out the site Power Surge, there's a huge list of supplements you can take to remedy just about any of your icky symptoms.
Avatar f tn In case your interested there's a really good website for women going thru menopause...it's called "Power Surge"...very informative & lots of women on the message forum discussing their issues.
Avatar f tn I am 53 and in menopause and I have actually fainted now while driving. My heart was racing and I had a hot flash and then I lost consciousness for 3 or 4 seconds. Went off the road, through a fence and into a field. Very luckily, no one was hurt. This happened a year ago. Had tons of tests done on my heart, blood work, etc. Nothing found. Now, a year later, I'm starting to get the dizzy spells again (not vertigo though, I've had that before).
Avatar f tn It could be good ole Menopause. I'm 53, started it at 49. That happen to me a lot. The hormones were missing, I even get sick to my stomach . Something to think about.... at least your not alone...

Avatar f tn She had been to the doc prior to fainting and her iron level results came back as 11. Normal is 14 and the doc revealed that 11 was ok in women. They put her on iron supplements regardless. Then I can remember psychological changes in her. She is currently feels the following: -Brain zaps which can awaken her during sleep. -Brain fog: Wakes up out of nowhere feeling confused.
Avatar n tn the first time i faint was on my first day in Gym, which the coach assured me its natural ! then after few weeks i got a feeling that i can't take my breath to the max capacity of my lungs but those symptoms went away after a couple of weeks ..
364288 tn?1300144506 Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend! I just had a quick question for you re: fainting. I've had a few spells on and off nothing to the point where I actually faint but I start feeling like I'm going to pass out. I get sweaty and I feel sick to my stomach. I talked to my Dr. about this and she didn't seem concerned. She said sometimes your blood pressure gets low and it you start feeling that way. Just wondering if anyone has felt like this before? It *****!!
Avatar f tn //www.34-menopause-symptoms.com. I found this website very valuable while I was going through menopause. Like I said, this might not be what's happening with your daughter; I'd suggest she go see her doctor just to make sure!
Avatar f tn They would come every minute or every couple of minutes but would only last a few seconds. My blood pressure would surge up but no heart palpitations. My hands would also get really clammy and my feet too. Ive also been experiencing a painful headache for the past two days. What could this possibly be? It doesn't seem to be going away, and I hadn't even thought of menopause because I'm still getting periods and haven't experienced the typical hot flashes of menopause.
1444053 tn?1365456815 I have a follow up with the gyneacologist to check a cyst seen on ovary and will definatly ask about this but I now found out the tablets I am on for acid reflux may actually be the cause of the dryness and nothing to do with the novasure, and it hasnt caused menopause the periods could return 12months or more after novasure was done, I dont have any other menopause symptoms right now.
2089508 tn?1332881915 This is our first time doing IUI so I am full of questions. Prior to this I have used OPK's and usually detect a surge on day 13-15. I took Letrozole days 3-7 and follicles were 17, 15 and 12 on day 11. Dr. told me that if OPK didn't show surge by day 15 to come in for a trigger shot that morning, so we did. We were scheduled for IUI the next morning. I tested for a surge again the morning of the IUI but the OPK said NO. We told the Dr.
Avatar f tn I frequently have this surging feeling course through my body. It mostly feels that it comes from my stomach area and moves upward, sometimes I feel it in my legs also. It happens when I'm sleeping too. I have tryed cutting back on caffaine, but it doesn't seem to change anything. It comes and goes and I can't relate it to anything specific. I have just started menopause and it has started since then.
Avatar f tn I went through the saliva hormonal testing and found out that I am in menopause ....... being estrogen dominant. I am taking prometrium, 200 mg at night. My night sweats are gone - but I still don't feel energized. My T3, Reverse levels are at 36 -- a little high with normal being 11-32 ng/dL. No meds were given to me on this. Do I need to be on meds to keep this stablized? And I need someone to explain the Reverse T3 to me.
Avatar f tn missed my period this month...me and my husband checked if I am pregnant...but it came out negative...could it be cause I used a cup and soaked it for 2 seconds only.I am 51 but still having my regular period..me and my husband are trying hard to have a baby.we plaaned to check it again this weekend....if it's still a negative could I be on the way to menopause..have read that clomid tablets,a fertility tablets held...how true is it?
1506612 tn?1290868045 A home ovulation test only shows that you are having your LH surge. Having had a tubal will not impact this as far as I know. Having an LH surge though does not always guarantee you have ovulated. In some cases your body can "gear up" so to speak, but no ovulation occurs. The only way to know for certain is through ultrasound or additional bloodwork from your Dr. I too would consult with an RE prior to having the reversal.
Avatar f tn 3 months ago I started experiencing weekly episodes of near fainting/fainting. Usually before I have an episode become very spacy and objects seem to sway. I get a strange tingling in my lips, tongue, toes, and fingers. Then, suddenly it feels like all the blood drains from my head and I get close to blacking out, but before I blackout I get a jolt of adrenaline. I notice that somedays seem cloudy and my body has this uncomfortable aura. I just feel sick and drained.
Avatar f tn I have been going thru menopause for 1 1/2 yrs, I was put om premilin .
Avatar n tn I purchased an OPK and so far at day 14 - no LH surge has been dedtected. I am scared I am no longer ovulating. How acurate are these kits? Is it possible to have ovulated and the kit did not detect it? I am scared to talk to my doctor about Clomid as I have NO desire for multiples. I have a very difficult pregnancy with one baby. Any advice?
1141709 tn?1329402332 That is odd and if you were 20, it would be more odd. I do know that women our age who are perimenopausal or even women who are in menopause have high lh levels and opk's are very trustworthy. When women are in menopause, they will have constant high lh.... the explanation is that though menopausal women have no more eggs and aren't having thier periods any more, the levels remain super high to keep trying... for the rest of our lives, evidently. Like fsh....
Avatar f tn re still here with you. Personally, I am on CD18, and waiting for my LH surge. 10 days after my surge I will begin my meds for my first IVF cycle. I am just doing whatever I can to relax, but as each day passes, I am getting a little more anxious. I use the ClearBlue fertility monitor. It is supposed to have three levels of fertility. It startes out low, goes to high as your estrogen increases, and goes to peak when you have a LH surge.
148588 tn?1465778809 The remaining third was largely new power plants fueled by natural gas, which has become cheap and plentiful as a result of hydraulic fracturing. It was the second straight year U.S. investment in renewable energy projects has outpaced that of fossil fuels. Robust growth is once again predicted for this year.
574574 tn?1217379626 m not sure about your e2 level, and LH is usually run on CD3 with FSH to check those levels. If they caught your LH on the surge day around ovulation it would show something, otherwise a level of nine seems to me like it would be coming back down from your surge - but I'm no doctor. Here is a GREAT website for info on hormone levels, and you may notice - where I got a lot of my info! ;o) http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hormonelevels.
577132 tn?1314266526 no menopause here. just super heavy ones and i feel like i can't go to school but i still do bc missing school for a period is just not worth it. timing is usually regular except for exam times. not really sure what hot flashes are. but i do get these sudden 'panic attack' like symptoms where my eyes just get blurry and my stomach sinks and i have trouble breathing. does this sound like hot flashes?
Avatar f tn are very common during the menopause years. When you say treated for menopause, what do you mean? Beware of hormone replacement in my opinion as there are links to breast cancer so really options generally are to help with symptoms like hot flashes. I'd go the path of treating depression as menopause may be a trigger for that but you've also had a history. And THAT you can treat.
1154127 tn?1262186656 I had ablation october 2008 and am 50 years old pre menopause with period once or twice a year since 2006. Avatar f tn Hi judyeve, Thanks for your post. Yes, i did have tests run for thyroid and everything was normal there. I just was trying to determine if women's hormones are still fluctuating post-menopause or is everything related to hormones calm once you're in the post-menopause stage. No one seems to have the answer to that question - or if they do, they're not responding here. Thanks!
