I am suffering from Psoriasis for the last 30 years . What treatment should I take to manage.

are you saying they're giving you Enbrel only for psoriasis? you mean arthritic psoriasis? what were your symptoms/problems in the first place?

Can you take enbrel for psorasis and interfern for Hepatitis C, and be safe and will both medication work

Aldara only made my psoriasis and psa flare up. I guess the next thing is to stop enbrel till my hpv clears up? I am 29, male, non smoker. Enbrel is the only med I take.

I suffer from Psoriasis as well and none of the steroid creams helped. I refused Enbrel because it increases the risk of Lymphoma and other things. I use Clobex spray and it has worked wonders!

Hi, I have severe Psoriasis on palms and bottoms of my feet. I have tried everything from cream to ointment, ulta violet and Grenns rays and nothing really worked. My doctor wants to put me on Enbrel but i am nervious about it. All the reading i do about it suggests that the cure is worse then the disease and it seems that the risk of getting cancer, lupus or the like is extreamly high (higher then the other injectables).

I have swelling and edema in right hand fingers and knees, I have some joint pain and some hives at times.No psoriasis on me. I am in my late twenties my doctor wants me to take embrel. I do not have typical back symptoms of this type of arthritis. I need a diagnosis, What could this be? I tend to get stressed and that causessome symptoms to be stronger.

Hello, I have severe psoriasis 98% of body its not fun,my dermatologist said he has done everything he could to try to control it but failed.dovonex,enbrel,humira,etc. i have endstage liver cirriosis, he says thats why he can't control it. that i have toxins, my autoimmune system is shut down,i take immune supplements,i detox my body too. use salts(dead sea), sugar ,honey based bodywashes,lotions nothing works.anybody have any ideas? something new?

Have him see a dermotologist or rheumatologist to be evaluated for psoriasis. People who have nail psoriasis are more likely to have the associated arthritic condition known as psoriatic arthritis. Does he have any joint complaints?

I have known I have had psoriasis for 12 years. Over the last 4 year the itching as well as the skin breakouts have gotten worse. I have been to see my dermatologist 2 times a week for the last 3 years. I have asked for something to releave the itching and the doctor gives me creams and drugs that make me sleepy and the creams do no releave the itching either.

My nails on some of my fingers are also coming away from the nail beds. Is this associated with psoriasis. No creams ( and I have quite a few that have been prescribed) seem to help. Thank you.

ve been on Enbrel for about 5 years and it has been an extremely good medication for both the psoriasis and the psoriatic arthritis. My concern is what am I going to do now that my husband is retired and my health insurance won't cover the cost. I live in Canada and the cost of this medication is approximately $22,000.00 a year which my husband's company insurance covered but now that he is retired, it will not cover the cost for my lifetime.

Hi, Fungal infections of the nails may cause some changes in the appearance of the nails. Psoriasis may also cause the same. In your case however, the nail maintains its normal appearance. However the lesion (allow me to call it lesion) has been present for quite sometime already. Nail infections caused by fungi o psoriatic lesions may not require prolonged treatment .As in the case of a fungal infection, this may require oral medical therapy for at least 6 weeks.

i have this condition for over a year and a half and i have seen 3 dermatologist that said that i have Psoriasis and gave me Clobetasol propionate ointment 0.05%, i used it for 3 weeks but it didn't help. i saw a pharmacist that said that the peels in my skin are too soft to be a Psoriasis and diagnose my condition as an Eczema and gave me a Mometasone (furoate): Ointment/Cream 1mg/g (0.1%). this didn't help either please help me..

My big toenails are peeling from the end and then there is a darker horizontal discoloring back just a bit, then the rest of the nail looks normal. Can it be corrected with a vitamin regiment?

Hello, Two possibilities need to be ruled out from these symptoms. The first possibility is of fungal nail infection and the second is of psoriasis nails. In onychomycosis(nail fungal infection) nail plate can have a thickened, yellow, or cloudy appearance. The nails can become rough and crumbly, or can separate from the nail bed. Topical and oral antifungals are needed which are available under prescription.

It almost seems genetic that ONLY the second finger and toe on both sides have been affected. Is there a name for this? I’ve seen “nail psoriasis” and generic nail fungal infections, but this seems more particular than just a fungal infection.

I have read that pitting of the nails is caused by psoriasis or eczema. From time to time i get eczema in tiny almost unnoticeable spots... I had psoriasis on my scalp as a child, but thats it. I'm a pretty healthy guy in general... I train 4 times a week and eat healthily most of the time. Before our trip I changed my diet up to shed a few extra kgs so maybe that bought on the nail pitting? we also hit the booze pret hard while we were there so maybe that assisted with the nail pitting.?

Carefully trim any loose nail portions off as they grow, including any spots with nail separation. Cutting off the loose nail and then doing the oil is key to curing this.
