That said, Enbrel is an immunosupressive drug so its interaction with inteferon is still unknown and only one older study I'm aware (posted above) that has not been followed through.

are you saying they're giving you Enbrel only for psoriasis? you mean arthritic psoriasis? what were your symptoms/problems in the first place?
I have known I have had psoriasis for 12 years. Over the last 4 year the itching as well as the skin breakouts have gotten worse. I have been to see my dermatologist 2 times a week for the last 3 years. I have asked for something to releave the itching and the doctor gives me creams and drugs that make me sleepy and the creams do no releave the itching either.
I have swelling and edema in right hand fingers and knees, I have some joint pain and some hives at times.No psoriasis on me. I am in my late twenties my doctor wants me to take embrel. I do not have typical back symptoms of this type of arthritis. I need a diagnosis, What could this be? I tend to get stressed and that causessome symptoms to be stronger.
I am on Embrel treatment for my psoriasis and I got test foe STD's and everything came out negative, but the herpes came: IGG I : 0.28which is negative but the IGG II : 3.62, but I just remember that a day before the test I had an embrel. Can the Embrel affect the result of the test?

ve been on Enbrel for about 5 years and it has been an extremely good medication for both the psoriasis and the psoriatic arthritis. I would like to know if this is from the hsvirus and its replication process at the ganglion of macrophage and cytokine release increasing tumor necrosing factor. Look up hsv2 effects on tnf on internet at your conveinance. 'TNF is the leading autoimmune cause of psoriasis and that is why they use enbrel and TNF inhibitors to treat psoriasis.
I’ve been taking Enbrel for the past 15 years or so with HUGE success! I have since Retired from work last month and now have a limited income. I signed up to Medicare/AARP for my post retirement healthcare requirement. During employment my Co-Pay was 25 dollars for a month supply. Now, Medicare and AARP collective insurance leaves me with 1,000 dollars for a month supply.

I have been told to get off Enbrel for needed gallbladder surgery. My problem is that when I get off Enbrel, every joint in my body swells, turns red, hurts unbearably and locks up. I become completely bedridden and cannot get dressed or go to the bathroom without help. My blood tests show that, even with the Enbrel, my c reactives and other immune response numbers are very high. They tell me that they will give me prednisone to help with the reaction.
