are you saying they're giving you Enbrel only for psoriasis? you mean arthritic psoriasis? what were your symptoms/problems in the first place?

Can you take enbrel for psorasis and interfern for Hepatitis C, and be safe and will both medication work

Aldara only made my psoriasis and psa flare up. I guess the next thing is to stop enbrel till my hpv clears up? I am 29, male, non smoker. Enbrel is the only med I take.

Hi, I have severe Psoriasis on palms and bottoms of my feet. I have tried everything from cream to ointment, ulta violet and Grenns rays and nothing really worked. My doctor wants to put me on Enbrel but i am nervious about it. All the reading i do about it suggests that the cure is worse then the disease and it seems that the risk of getting cancer, lupus or the like is extreamly high (higher then the other injectables).

I have swelling and edema in right hand fingers and knees, I have some joint pain and some hives at times.No psoriasis on me. I am in my late twenties my doctor wants me to take embrel. I do not have typical back symptoms of this type of arthritis. I need a diagnosis, What could this be? I tend to get stressed and that causessome symptoms to be stronger.

Hello, I have severe psoriasis 98% of body its not fun,my dermatologist said he has done everything he could to try to control it but failed.dovonex,enbrel,humira,etc. i have endstage liver cirriosis, he says thats why he can't control it. that i have toxins, my autoimmune system is shut down,i take immune supplements,i detox my body too. use salts(dead sea), sugar ,honey based bodywashes,lotions nothing works.anybody have any ideas? something new?

I have known I have had psoriasis for 12 years. Over the last 4 year the itching as well as the skin breakouts have gotten worse. I have been to see my dermatologist 2 times a week for the last 3 years. I have asked for something to releave the itching and the doctor gives me creams and drugs that make me sleepy and the creams do no releave the itching either.

ve been on Enbrel for about 5 years and it has been an extremely good medication for both the psoriasis and the psoriatic arthritis. My concern is what am I going to do now that my husband is retired and my health insurance won't cover the cost. I live in Canada and the cost of this medication is approximately $22,000.00 a year which my husband's company insurance covered but now that he is retired, it will not cover the cost for my lifetime.

For the past six years I have been batteling with fungal infections (feet, ears, groin) and just recently I have been diagnosed with an infection on my penis and my hands after having had to take some antibiotics. This whole mess started when I was on Enbrel (I stopped taking that) to treat my psoriasis. I know that I don't have HIV since I already got tested for that (fairly recent too).

I am on Embrel treatment for my psoriasis and I got test foe STD's and everything came out negative, but the herpes came: IGG I : 0.28which is negative but the IGG II : 3.62, but I just remember that a day before the test I had an embrel. Can the Embrel affect the result of the test?

I do have joint PAIN but the swelling, stiffness and lack of strength are all gone thanks to the enbrel. My doc wants to put me on Methotrexate in addition to the Enbrel just for my pain. That seems a bit drastic for pain, If i had a couple Perocets or oxys a day I would be like i was when I was 20 PAIN FREE. I dont know how to ask for them without sounding like a pillhead. Any advice?

I have the HLA-B27 Gene passed from my father to me...I have cronic eye infections..i take Enbrel sots once a week they have helped some, but still pain..Any opinions on something else that could be helpful to bring up to my RA Doctor in the next week or so? Good Luck All!

Probably the most liver friendly drug in the group and in fact at one time they trialed Enbrel with interferon and riba, not to treat psoriasis but to increase the efficacy of treatment.

TNF is the leading autoimmune cause of psoriasis and that is why they use enbrel and TNF inhibitors to treat psoriasis. So is the replication of hsv2 causing the psoriasis by increasing my TNF when it replicates at macrophage ganglion.

I suffer quite badly from Psoriatic Arthritis. I have no signs of Psoriasis, but my joints are inflammed and very painful. I'm 33, female. I'm taking 25mg of Methotrexate weekly, other anit-inflammatroy drugs. I'm interested in hearing from others who suffer from this and what they are going through, as I've never met anyone who suffers from this.

AROUND THREE YEARS AGO I WAS HAVING FLARE UPS AND MY DOCTOR ALSO ME ON ENBREL, WORKED VERY GOOD FOR THE RA BUT MY NOW MY THROAT IS ALWAYS SORE AND CONGESTED WITH PHELM. Doctor, I would like information related to Enbrel and MS. I used Enbrel for less than one year. I now have demylination of the cervical spinal cord, both optic nerves, plaques in my brain, numbness in leg and balance problems. I am now fifty eight. Symtoms started at age fifty six with numbness in leg and balance problems. I have been told it looks "MSish." Questions: now that the new symptom of, the optic nerves being demlinated, is it MS?

I have been told to get off Enbrel for needed gallbladder surgery. My problem is that when I get off Enbrel, every joint in my body swells, turns red, hurts unbearably and locks up. I have had moderate to severe RA for 5 years. Take Enbrel once a week and am supposed to take 5mg. injectible of methotrexate weekly. I had gone without the methotrexate for at least six months and have not noticed any difference at all. I am scared to death of the methotrexate. Can anyone explain why my doctor wants me to continue it if it does not seem to make a difference? I do great on the Enbrel by itself, but am sure there are reasons, I just don't understand!
