Certainly, I had ELISA test once, which was 7 months post my last exposure in Marseilles. But that ELISA test is a locally produced one, I mean an Asian one. I don't know it well but I think it's not designed to detect N, O or P groups. Even the doctor didn't know a thing about it.
I guess the omnipotent ELISA you said is Abbott ELISA produced in the US, not including the Asian craps, right?
Unprotected sex on April 9. Tested ELISA at 65 days 0.03 negative. VDRL and ELISA at 78 days. VDRL non reactive and ELISA 0.02 negative.
But I was taking Norflox and Pyridine during VDRL test so some websites told that it can mask the test.
At 99 days took VDRL, ELISA I & II and HIV Combo test.
I stopped taking Norflox and Pyridine 8 days before test.
Results are VDRL non reactive,
ELISA I & II 0.22 Negative and HIV Combo 0.33 negative.
You would need to ask the lab or your doctor. I've never seen the term "doubtful" on an HIV test.
I don't know why you're even thinking about the ELISA test. Your RNA test is conclusive and you don't have HIV. There isn't anything more anyone here can say about your events, since you didn't have a risk for HIV, and there's nothing to add about your test results since you've tested conclusively negative.

I recently done a HIV ELISA Duo testing on October 19th 2018. I am based in Canada so ELISA Duo Test is the one offered in all of the STD clinics within my province based on the Provincial Health Services bulletins. From what I read, ELISA Duo Test checks for both the antigen and the antibody.
The last sexual encounter I had was September 30th with protected oral and vaginal sex with a woman whose sexual history I do not know, but is not a drug user but may have frequent partners.
I recently went in for a consultation with a specialist in viral infections at New York Presbyterian. I went in order to resolve a history of conflicting test results. The doctor ordered a blood test and the results were negative for both HSV 1 and HSV 2.
My question is: could a full 12 ounce glass of wine (10% alcohol) the night before the test cause false negatives. That is, could the alcohol reduce the antibody count?
I got tested with Elisa antibodies test at 20 days and results came back non reactive but index read is 0.19, teak I really trust your opinion, I want to get this out of mind, do I need to retest after 3 months, I just knew that it was protected sex but I knew that the girl I had sex with was raped before by heavy drugs user.
Few days later (total 10 days after exposure) I went to medical center and took an ELISA test the result is negative. At the same time I came down with diarrhea for few weeks. About 2 weeks later I experienced rash at neck and armpit. It is recovered now.

If you DID have a risk, your testing history is very perplexing. Why did you take a WB? Did you have a + ELISA antibody test? A WB is a confirmatory test, to be taken after someone tests + on an antibody (or antigen) test.
If you had a risk, you need to take a simple antibody (ELISA) test at 3 months post exposure. That will be conclusive.
As for the anxiety, it's normal to have anxiety if you have had a risk.
Thanks for the answer Dave. Couple of follow up questions. Do you know if the specific test I took was an Elisa test I couldn't tell because it said ARUP in the title and I've never heard of that before.
I remember reading an old post from grace that asked someone if they ever had cold sores and the person said no and she responded saying that if they never had cold sores and had contracted HSV-2 they would probably be showing the typical herpes blisters.
if you engage from unprotected penetrative vaginal/anal sex you have a possible exposure to hiv. to have a conclusive result....a HIV ANTIBODY test must be performed at/after 3 months. ur 4 weeks test is very promising.....
I am not familiar with an ELFA HIV test and thus cannot directly compare it to the stand ELISA assay. If the test is liscensed for use by the US FDA or the EU, it is reliable. If it is not or you do not know and are concerned, then you should get re-tested with a test you are assured is reliable. The odds of infection from a single exposure to a partner of unknown HIV status however is very low. Thus, even without testing, your risk for HIV from a single exposure is very, very low.
my doctor is said to me to give pcr-rt (quantitative) test? what is pcr? I am very worried.
There is a lot of new tests but elisa is just the type of test, there are 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation of elisas, and there continue to be a lot of research for new tests, the newest teste tend to be rapid test accurate as elsia tests, there has been also improvement also in the NAAT tests, and some labs are trying to come up with a new 5th generation rapid test (PCR+Antibody+p24) but is not ready yet.
