and now im planning to take the test again for the fifth month mark. and now im worried because was diagnosed with dengue recently. im always thinking that my dengue antibodies might cause false positives on an hiv antibody test. anyways.. thanks again for giving me an idea. appreciate your time to comment on my question which is bothering me. no one seems to know the answer to my question.
After a month went to a reputed hospital of our country for confirming tb. Doctors did all the test. They also gave elisa 3rd generation hiv test .It was after 45 days of blood transfusion. Came negative result. Tb was concluded and told to continue medicines for 9 months. I did complete the medicine course being always scared of MDR tb by googling on net, every 2 months doctors visit, multiple ct scan and xray. Doctors said an old scar is remaining and you are healed.
mean time i consulted my doc for diagnosis were i was asked to take a blood test for platelet count , wbc count and a dengue fever check out of which all came out to be normal .... since my condition din improve i was asked to check for Typhoid fever the results were 1:40 , 1:80 although not significant enough my doc felt i might have a mild typhoid and prescribed me some medication .. even after the completion of the antibiotic course i don feel any good .. i still have the same symptoms ..
hi Iam 31 male recently I got my hiv blood test results after 104 days of exposer it was negative thank god. but before 15 day of hiv test I got dengue fever is dengue fever effect hiv test results? should I take another test after 6month mark. I also got a lump in my right testice is this hiv symptoms pls answer someone.
s very common in my country during rainy season), prescripted her to fix the headache and fever, and have her wait for 3 days for a complete blood test, after the test, the results shows a normal thrombocyte count but a low leukocyte, the doctor is confused and told her to consume iron supplement, and wait for another 2 days to see if the thrombocyte would decrease (because it's the most defining symptoms of dengue).
Later at 10day i began to feel fever and chills, went to hospital and doctor told me that my glands in groin are swollen so they test for dengue fever but nothing was found. At 15day i flew back to Niger and then the fever hit me had and i came down with oral thrush. That is when my life went through the roof and tried and get the girl through facebook and she said she tested postive for hiv and syphillis but she is not sick since then.
The doc said we would have to wait after the dengue left to test for HIV. That it we should wait a month before we test for HIV as dengue can result in a false-positive.
Its been about 3-4 weeks now. I was still getting periods of fatigue up to my 3rd week. I have been very anxious this whole time because of the HIV suspicion. I've been doing all the wrong things and been obsessively looking up HIV symptoms online.

In the 2 months that followed she had 4 episodes of fever with rash showing up three times. Dengue and Malaria were ruled out by a blood test. The stem cell bank in question (www.reelabs.com) has given us a certificate of analysis claiming that they test for HIV 1 & 2, HCV etc via PCR before extraction of stem cells from cord blood.
He didn't test for that. Should that be recommended? Good idea. Then there is cholera and dengue too. No kidding. Many in his village just have minor dengue reactions due to prolonged exposure. And cholera is pretty rampant in the hot summer months too.
You can opt for specific tests for Chlamydia which include Nucleic acid amplification tests (NAAT, to find the genetic material of Chlamydia), Nucleic acid hybridization tests (DNA probe test, Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA, EIA), Direct fluorescent antibody test (DFA) or chlamydia culture. But he said it cant be a dengue coz it was not the time of dengue.. Then he tested me for typhoid which was also weakly positive..I myself went for a p24 antigen test on 27th or 28th day from exposure which came neqative.. But I was suffering from the low grade fever and bodyaches.. He said m suffering from thrombocytopenia.. But the cause of it was not known.. He sent me to a haemotology specialist.. He tested me HIV hcv and all other tests which resulted neqative..
My husband has been battling some unknown illness for months now. Initially we thought that his symptoms were dengue related. He has experienced a strange overwhelming feeling in his stomach and extreme weakness...from there it went to water on his lungs..then swollen feet...weight loss...now feeling extremely cold. We live on an island. It's extremely hot all year round. The medical situation here is not the best. They've taken test but no one is capable of reading them accurately.
He was taken to the hospital because of dehydration caused by having Dengue for 6 days, at the hospital he was treated for Dengue only, but then he started shaking involuntarily for 2 days, the doctors started the search to find out the cause, all blood exams where made and nothing (there was a time one exam said that his calcium level was low, but then they repeat the blood test and apparently it was a lab mistake).
my friends to rule any issue got me tested for Dengue. My worry is that the nurse who came home and took my blood sample. Although I checked to see if the syringe had an unbroken seal, the nurse informed me that the syringe could not be used again even accidentally due to some system. Worried and not sure I should get tested.
