Avatar f tn I've been using coconut oil on my eczema and it works really well. It doesn't get rid of it completely but it makes the dryness and itching go away.
2076619 tn?1331842818 I started Synthroid on February 5 of this year. I don't know if it is working because I still have a hard time losing and maintaining weight and my hair is still falling out (even on 6000 mcg of Biotin!). How do I know if the medicine is working at all? I am new to the hypothyroidism thing, so I don't know if the dosage is too low or if I need a new medicine or something...I won't be able to get blood work done for about 3 weeks. Is that the only way to tell?
Avatar f tn Eat right, exercise, try to reduce your stress. Exercise is a biggy because of the endorphines it releases. I know it is really hard to exercise when you are depressed. Even a walk around the block helps, or parking your car far away from the door. The other thing that helps me that you are probably working on with your therapist is social rhythms. Waking up at the same time, eating at the same time, going to bed at the same time. These things really help a bipolar brain function.
Avatar f tn Makeup is the worst thing in the world for acne. It is also the main culprit in allergic reactions on the face. Ask any actress...they'll be the first to tell you how bad their acne is from the makeup that they have to wear...so they plaster even more on to hide it...sad but true. Did you give each of the above acne methods a fair chance to work? In other words, did you try them each for at least 3 weeks without wearing makeup on top?
Avatar n tn I had her using anti-acne wash on it until our doctor said it was eczema and prescribed a stronger prescription cream to treat it. My daughter has developed a habit of picking at and scratching these pimple-like bumps, although she said they really dont itch. She is getting scarred from this. Our doctor now says she needs to be treated for scabies. She sleeps in the same room with her father and I, and sometimes in our bed. If it was scabies...
Avatar m tn My own experience comes from managing health food stores for many years, and while that doesn't give me any way of knowing what's going on with you, it did teach me that most of the time doctors don't have the answers to these kinds of problems. While their prescriptions might help short term, if the problem does come back it's because the doctor didn't diagnose the cause, they just gave you medication to treat the symptoms.
Avatar f tn I have what I believe is eczema on my face and it's red and itchy and I really just want to get rid of the redness and its very embarrassing to go anywhere!!!! Avatar f tn Salbutamol is essential for asthma. If the salbutamol is not working, then you have to get it changed form your doctor and use long term inhaled corticosteroids.
Avatar n tn It is so good to hear from someone who actually got a helpful diagnosis!!! I have the lump in throat feeling also. (Also a lot of upper abdominal pain) I haven't seen any drs for it this time. I just hate to go and be told its GERD. Don't get me wrong, I do or did have heartburn constantly until I started meds for it about four years ago but its controlled now. We know our own bodies and we also know when something is wrong.
Avatar f tn t any white lines or redness in the area. The entire spot is bright red and shiny. It may be getting al little larger. It is painful. I am very concerned about it. I would appreciate anyone letting me know if you have any idea what this is.
Avatar m tn Alright so let me get right into this... i have been diagnosed, well it was more of a guess "shot in the dark" if you will by my doctor with Generalized Anxiety Disorder, he tells me this is the cause of my problems. However i'm not truly convinced... I am 19yr's old, around 5'6, weigh about 173lb's not overweight, more of an athletic build, last physical a year or so ago i was around 15% body fat...
Avatar n tn My son's ezcema reacted really well to a cream called Dermol. It is an emollient with an antibacterail.
Avatar f tn But NEVER itchy. The dermatologist says it is eczema and we went along with that. He has gone through tons of ointments. For the last few months it has just been a minor but consistent few small areas. Never goes away, has not flared up. We continue to use the latest lotion but the doctor warned us to not use it frequently because it could thin his skin? Yet we end up using it every night because the rash is always there.
3136223 tn?1367960716 did your provider test you for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally when you were seen? I'd stop with the neosporin. it isn't well tolerated in the genital area and this isn't a bacterial issue so no reason to use it anyways. you don't want to be making things worse down yonder. vagisil also isn't your best bet for the genital area for this issue either.

Avatar m tn Guide me whether is it really a herpes or something else. If it is herpes than advise me what to do and what not to do in order to check this infection by spreading to my partner and also to get a baby. Tell me whether my sex life will come to an end or what?
Avatar f tn No. It has 5-HTP in it, so technically this is contraindicated when you're taking an ssri (Lexapro) as both affect serotonin. It also has GABA in it, which you probably won't metabolize but klonopin targets GABA. It also has herbal relaxants that target GABA.
