1486289 tn?1315842255 ve found the aveeno line of products to be EXTREMELY helpful and it has helped us to minimize the use of topical steroids. Aveeno does make a line of products for infants. There is also an infant eczema cream tho I'm not sure of the brand..it's in a pale green and white tube though.

Avatar n tn It could be a fungus or maybe eczema. Try Lamisil cream first and see if it goes away after a few days. Don't scratch and wash your hands well after applying the cream. If it doesn't work within a week (with no scratching). You may want to see a doctor about it if that doesn't work. Eczema is very itchy and usually isn't on the bottom of the feet but it could be. If so, then don't scratch and keep it well moisturized.
937617 tn?1314212191 Sounds like Eczema to me. I've had Eczema my whole life. I read something about Pau D'Arco being used for Candidas, so I did a bit of research on it yesterday. I found out that it's supposed to treat Eczema and Psoriasis, too. Someone else told me about something called Nystatin. I haven't had a chance to research the Nystatin as of yet, and I won't be able to do so until much later today. These two things sounded like they might be worth trying for me.
Avatar n tn And one side effect is local atrophic skin changes. Unless the lesion is diagnosed as eczema, refrain from using any medication. Treatment is always based upon an individual's age, overall health status, and the type and severity of the condition. It would be best to have it further evaluated by your doctor. The goals for the treatment of eczema are to prevent itching, inflammation, and worsening of the condition.

Avatar m tn I would recommend that she see the dermatologist to try a different medication. My daughter has eczema of the finger tips (finger tips peel and get very sore but no itching, they can crack and bleed). Doctor's practice medicine, it is as much an art as it is a science. Frequently and with certain conditions, especially anything with an allergy tie, there is a lot of trial and error before the best treatment plan for the patient is found.
Avatar m tn ECZEMA would NOT be on only ONE side of his scrotom and ONLY there. The medication used for chronic eczema is a simply TRIAMINOLONE CREAM or OINTMENT 9if you already have open sores. I do NOT hjave to be a dermatologist..IO am BETTER--I was MISDIAGNOSED with "eczema" for years to find I had multiple chronic merdical issues, including liver and kidney damage, candida, salt build up, AND needed systematic treatment.....

Avatar m tn Hi, since the age of 18 I've started to get eczema. It started on the legs but it started appearing on my face (around my eye areas and especially around the brows) recently and topically. My doctor originally prescribed me "Hyderm 1% Hydrocortisone cream" in December 2009. I started to take it and my eczema seemed to be under control. Starting in May the skin around my eyes (Where I primarily used the cream) started getting paler.
Avatar f tn A few years ago I have developed a hemorrhoid and my doc prescribed me a cream which turns out to be the same cream/gel i used for my eczema. This gel is called clobetasol. It did the job and went away. So when this itching came back a month ago i started usingbthe gel again and it went away and came back a few days later. I continued using it until a week ago I noticed that it did not go away.

Avatar n tn I have been diagnosed with eczema. I cm chemically sensitive and find many creams irritating. I searched on-line to find out the ingredients in pramasone and eletone and could find nothing. I received samples of these from a dermatologist and without the ingredients. I am unable to find them on the web. Is there a site open to the public that lists ingredients? I was also advised to take Zyrtec and wondered if Zyrtec had any more benefit for skin reactions thank Claritin.
Avatar m tn Yes I have this itchy scrotum. I'm on a medication that causes eczema. I can't stop taking the medication or else I won't have any place to live. The itching is in fact all over my body; but I learned that certain foods causes me to break out in hives in conjuction with the medication. The itching on my scrotum is forever constant. I've tried all kinds of anti-itch medication as well as 1% hydrocortizones. Nothing works on this itch. I mean no oils, lotions, body wash.
1337810 tn?1333807530 I'm not an expert but my 2yr old son has eczema. he had it as an infant so I changed our clothes detergent to a hypo-allergenic or sensitive one as well as his nappy wipes. when he was 1 I gradually introduced normal soaps & detergents. he was fine for a few mths but then it came back worse. I now only use hypo-allergenic detergent & use skin cream during summer as it flares up during the hotter period.
Avatar m tn Hello, Today I was diagnosed with Eczema. [03/27/10] I have it on my elbow about 3" x 2" big. It use to be smaller and I didn't really mind it so I ignored it for a good 2 or 3 months. During the last month (February) I did some research on my own and was literally sold that this was a 'ringworm' so I applied anti-fungal medication 'Canestan' on it for a whole month but it didn't really help, as a matter of fact it made it worse.

Avatar m tn A doctor would prescribe the appropriate cream or ointment, antibiotic, antifungal cream or a combination of antifungal and antibacterial cream, depending what was causing the problem. Sometimes antihistamine medications can help if this caused by an allergic reaction to something that you touched or bug bites. If the patchy skin makes you feel embarrassed, get some make-up to match the your skin tone to mask the white marks.
