eczema

Avatar m tn I don't know how itchy arms happens but I found something that made the super itchiness in my arms stop. A friend who's had a life-time of eczema told me about bleach baths. So I did as he advised, I took a cup of bleach (Clorox) and poured it in a bath tub of warm/hot water and got in it for 10 minutes. The first time I did this ended all of the itching. Four days later I did this bleach bath again because I thought I felt the itch returning and again it worked.
Avatar m tn Recently my oldest daughter had a mrsa.Dr s orders were bleach bath once a day with 1/2 cup of bleach into a full tub.She had a nasty sore on her behind-couldnt sit and itched like he_ _..She also got the spray for up the nose. After 6 days of this the sore was gone.So was the itch.... I say whatever works go for it as long as you are not overdoing it.I mean its not like your filling the tub up with it !!!! Just make sure you use moistureizer(SP?) afterwards.
1559007 tn?1294715408 Hi- thx for your response! he has a bleach bath 1-2times per week- 1 tablespoon bleach in a tub of water- to prevent infection- he's had several staph infections- it has been in the scholl, perticularly his class. We also soak him in vaseline after every bath- once per day, and 3 times per day he douses himself in sheabutter or glaxal base. We use perfume free soap and no fabric softener. He is on Singulair, vitamin D supplement, Aloe Vera juice daily.

Avatar n tn My 8 year old son has what is believed to be eczema we have done a biopsy which one pathologist read as psoriasis and another read as eczema and his dermatologist thought he had skin lupus. We are currently treating it as eczema and he is on elidel and triamcinolone cream, we have tried tanning beds and bleach baths. No relieve, this has been going since last Nov. The dermatologist wants to put him on methotraxate (sp?) (chemo drug). I am nervous, any advice????
1205562 tn?1554747006 t about pregnancy but I also know a lot of you ladies have other children. My daughter has eczema, and i was wondering if anyone knew of any remedies or creams that help??? My poor baby's wrists and certain area's of her legs are really bad!!
Avatar m tn my daughter has a horrible skin rash on the top of her foot, and right on the bone of her elbow - it is super itchy and unfortunately she scratches it to the point of bleeding. We have tried every manner of cortizone's, antibiotics, bleach baths, etc all recommended by her pediatrician and a dermatologist but nothing is curing it. One Dr says it eczema one says its impetigo but so far no treatment works. It does not look like classic eczema as her skin is just not dry?
Avatar f tn For some reason the cheap aveeno baby is pnly thing that works my son hes almost 3 and still has extremely sensitive skin he doesnt actually have eczema. Juat veeu sensitive I cannot use anything woth aloe Barbados or fragrance in it. Even expensive organic fragrance free crap doesn't work lol. But the babu aveeno is actually made with colloidal oatmeal which is great for eczema amd sensitive skin :-) and plan old oatmeal baths are good as well.
Avatar f tn I stayed away from any harsh chemicals ie. bathroom cleaners, kitchen cleaners, bleach. I purchased Avon bubble bath and cleaned with that (very good cleaner). I think there are vinegar, water and baking soda solutions you can mix up but not sure.
Avatar n tn sometimes i masturbate in the bath but I always wash it out when I’m done with bleach and the bath sponge, however it occurred to me that the semen could still be on the sponge when a female family member used the bath around 15 - 30 minuets after I had done (even though I had washed out the bath prior to her getting in) this is something that has been worrying me as I get paranoid about random things very easily.
Avatar m tn Plus she told me to take warm baths 3x weekly with 2 TBS bleach in the water. Plus put on Aveeno Eczema cream over top the Clobetasol 2x daily. I also purchased a whole house humidifier to keep the humidity at 40-45%. The condition began to improve immediately and I thought I was on my way to a cure. I did get a reaction to the meds (antibiotics?) which produced another milder rash. I went back to her for a follow up exam 2 weeks later and was told that people sometimes get this reaction.
Avatar f tn My son had it at well.
Avatar f tn Use a moisturizer without perfumes, etc...in it. My children all have eczema and this helps tremendously. Also, try either purchasing oatmeal bath or putting some oats in a pantyhose sock and hanging it in your bath water. The oatmeal moisturizes dry skin and helps heal the dryness. This works wonders for us. I hope this helps!
Avatar m tn I read an article about a woman who bathe in bleach in an attempt to cure eczema and burned 90 plus percent of her skin. It was horrible! I do hope that someone more knowledgeable than I would be able to read your post. Just don't lose hope as help will eventually comes along.
Avatar f tn Okay, I have a question, our hot water in the bathtub always has a bleach smell to it. I've never noticed it in the kitchen or anything, but this kinda has me worried for when we give our son a bath when he gets here, should I be concerned? I'm 27w1d right now, so I have a while before it will be an issue.
296076 tn?1371334474 s dont get dirty like adults a washcloth wipe down is just fine especially in the creases too much bathing can take there natural oils leaving them with dry skin problems and most of my children had eczema, but those little fat creases can get nasty and infected so I always wiped those
Avatar n tn Your partner needs to soak in a bath of 1/2 cup of bleach with a full bath tub of water. Then get some of prid sav at the store and after the bath put a bandage of pride sav and see if the numb goes down. My son keeps getting those hard bumps and the doctor tells me to give him bleach baths.
Avatar f tn I had breast eczema. I was told by a dermatologist to wear only cotton bras and it helped it go away. I also was prescribed cortesone cream and it helped. But we later discovered that using it had blocked my milk ducts and I couldn't breast feed when I had my children. But wearing only natural breathing materials around my breast and the cortesone cream did the trick.
Avatar n tn The first time I did this ended all of the itching. Four days later I did this bleach bath again because I thought I felt the itch returning and again it worked. I've done three bleach baths so far, the last bath was a week ago, and the itch hasn't returned, and I suspect never will as long as I lotion up. And be sure to lotion up after the baths, your skin will be dry. How it works - the bleach kills bacteria and germs that cause the itching.
Avatar m tn Oatmeal bath aveeda for babies, the aveeda eczema wash, and at Walmart in the baby care section the eczema cream!!!
Avatar f tn My four year old daughters eczema keeps flaring up and is constantly unwell. Who would be able to test the mould to see if its toxic? So I could rule this out as a cause or contributory factor.
Avatar n tn Hi I have a severe case of eczema. I flare up extremely bad on face and neck in the winter. Also when I sweat excessively I itch. Is there any help or products I could use to keep me from looking like a frosted flake in the winter months?
