1559007 tn?1294715408 What treatment plan is your son on for the eczema? My daughter has it. As long as she is using her ointment, she doesn't have a problem. If she stops using it and flares, she cannot tolerate even mildly warm water. We have found that sun exposure helps her very much. She only flares in the fall and winter when she doesn't get outside as much. This could be related to vitamin D levels. You may want to take you son to a dermatologist or allergist to find an effective treatment plan.
Avatar m tn Hi, My name is David and I have Hep C.Had it for 15 years now. Started as Hep B and mutated in 1993. Had Hep B since 1973. I have been through interferon, Pegasus, the freakin pills. Not a change in levels. After all these years of experimenting, I have found that adding ½ cup of lemon scented clhlorox bleach to a hot bath completely stopped the itch for up to 24 hours. Now don't get crazy on me. Here is how I do it. Do not use soap or shampoo in the bath water along with bleach.
Avatar m tn I don't know how itchy arms happens but I found something that made the super itchiness in my arms stop. A friend who's had a life-time of eczema told me about bleach baths. So I did as he advised, I took a cup of bleach (Clorox) and poured it in a bath tub of warm/hot water and got in it for 10 minutes. The first time I did this ended all of the itching. Four days later I did this bleach bath again because I thought I felt the itch returning and again it worked.

Avatar f tn My son had it at well.
Avatar n tn Hello, In most cases of eczema no one treatment will be effective. Medical research shows that the most effective treatment plan for eczema involves using a combination of therapies to treat the skin and making lifestyle changes(prevention of triggers and application of lots of moisturizers) to control flare-ups. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid which are available by prescription.
Avatar m tn Plus she told me to take warm baths 3x weekly with 2 TBS bleach in the water. Plus put on Aveeno Eczema cream over top the Clobetasol 2x daily. I also purchased a whole house humidifier to keep the humidity at 40-45%. The condition began to improve immediately and I thought I was on my way to a cure. I did get a reaction to the meds (antibiotics?) which produced another milder rash. I went back to her for a follow up exam 2 weeks later and was told that people sometimes get this reaction.
Avatar f tn Any good treatment for eczema? 20wks today. Really suffering a lot. Tried Alpha Keri and QV intensive care but its not working. Help please....
Avatar f tn Eczema is a skin disease that causes itchy, red, dry flaky skin. There is no cure or reasonable treatment. The treatment is typically steroids but there are side effects. You should cut down on the amount of baths you get. Don't use hot water. Use a oil based soap like oilatum or Dove all natural. Use natural laundry detergents based on enzymes. Don't use bleach or dryer pads. Use a good moisturizer just after shower. You need to moisturize at least twice a day.
Avatar n tn sometimes i masturbate in the bath but I always wash it out when I’m done with bleach and the bath sponge, however it occurred to me that the semen could still be on the sponge when a female family member used the bath around 15 - 30 minuets after I had done (even though I had washed out the bath prior to her getting in) this is something that has been worrying me as I get paranoid about random things very easily.
Avatar n tn I have the same condition maybe, I have heard from others that it is called stucco keratiod or something like that....still trying to find out more about treatment....I think I got It from a foot bath at a pedicure place...
Avatar m tn I read an article about a woman who bathe in bleach in an attempt to cure eczema and burned 90 plus percent of her skin. It was horrible! I do hope that someone more knowledgeable than I would be able to read your post. Just don't lose hope as help will eventually comes along.
Avatar f tn Okay, I have a question, our hot water in the bathtub always has a bleach smell to it. I've never noticed it in the kitchen or anything, but this kinda has me worried for when we give our son a bath when he gets here, should I be concerned? I'm 27w1d right now, so I have a while before it will be an issue.
Avatar n tn Your partner needs to soak in a bath of 1/2 cup of bleach with a full bath tub of water. Then get some of prid sav at the store and after the bath put a bandage of pride sav and see if the numb goes down. My son keeps getting those hard bumps and the doctor tells me to give him bleach baths.
Avatar n tn My 8 year old son has what is believed to be eczema we have done a biopsy which one pathologist read as psoriasis and another read as eczema and his dermatologist thought he had skin lupus. We are currently treating it as eczema and he is on elidel and triamcinolone cream, we have tried tanning beds and bleach baths. No relieve, this has been going since last Nov. The dermatologist wants to put him on methotraxate (sp?) (chemo drug). I am nervous, any advice????
Avatar n tn The first time I did this ended all of the itching. Four days later I did this bleach bath again because I thought I felt the itch returning and again it worked. I've done three bleach baths so far, the last bath was a week ago, and the itch hasn't returned, and I suspect never will as long as I lotion up. And be sure to lotion up after the baths, your skin will be dry. How it works - the bleach kills bacteria and germs that cause the itching.
Avatar m tn Oatmeal bath aveeda for babies, the aveeda eczema wash, and at Walmart in the baby care section the eczema cream!!!
Avatar f tn My four year old daughters eczema keeps flaring up and is constantly unwell. Who would be able to test the mould to see if its toxic? So I could rule this out as a cause or contributory factor.
Avatar m tn I have but because I'm so stressed in my life the past 2 years, (battling homosexyalitu and fear of hiv) all meds for eczema are not working.. I break out directly into extreme eczema all over my body and they bleed all the time.. so now I'm so scared of touching people of being sexual as explained in my post above because I'm scared that the semen actually gets into an eczema.. I hope I get over with this hiv fear it's running all my life and I'm tired of this..
Avatar f tn I took a bleach bath. It was also suggested to mix tea tree oil in liquid soap and shampoo. After 15 months I actually started clearng up within three days. i was so bad that I also mixed tea tree oil and water and sprayed my hair and body as often as I could. The website suggested you do this for three weeks to kill any eggs. Despite I felt better in three days I continued using the tea tree oil for eight weeks. I also used a Qtip, sprayed it and cleaned my ears and nose.
