I can hear but, it feel like I have pressure in my ear and as though the right ear only. I also hear slight ringing at times including small clicking noises randomly. I have a 3rd follow up appointment w/ my ENT on Thursday. The 2 hearing tests at this point show loss of low frequency and voices sound high pitched in the right ear.
Should I be going to a specialist? I suggested that I had water in my inner ear but, the doctor will not agree.
I was dumb enough to try ear candling even though studies show it doesn't do what is intended. People swear it helps them and I had been having congested ears. Long story short hot wax from the candle dripped into my ear and now I am in pain. This morning a piece of "candle" wax came out of my ear but I am almost certain there is more in there. My hearing is muffled and when i move my head while sleeping the crackling wakes me up. Any advice or solutions?
On Monday morning I woke with an ear infection. I went to the doctor right away and was given Otic Edge, told to continue an antibiotic I was already on, to call if it wasn't felling better in a couple of days, and to schedule a recheck for a week later. Thursday, my ear still felt plugged, I was getting sharp pains, and ringing so I went back to the doctor. He said that there is alot of drainage in there and it kinda looked like swimmer's ear.
My husband is a doctor so we have exhausted the medical community, ENT, neurologist, internal medicine, chiropractic and all tests, MRI, CAT scan and the official vertigo test at the ENT. Nothing found anything. I finally heard about ear candling. I used 5 in one ear and 6 candles in the other and had INSTANT relief and these candles were full of wax and yeast. I will be repeating this as a preventative measure once a month or more often if needed but I finally have relief.
We have had a bad streak lately. Gary has gone through a sinus infection, bronchitis, coxsakie, stomach bug, and now an ear infection in the past couple months. He was prescribed drops because he has been on antibiotics twice in 2 months. I don't think it is getting better after 6 days of drops. Dh & I are going to Virginia for a wedding this weekend so I am going to take him to be checked aging today or tomorrow. The problem with GW is he doesn't recognize or acknowledge pain.
I normally love to be around kids but since I got pregnant my patience for them has really disappeared. I'm excited about my baby & being a mom but I totally get what you're saying.
My son is 3 1/2 and he had one ear infection and it wouldn't go away even with many different types of antibiotics. He had tubes put in his ears and they took over a year to fall out. He only had about 2 or 3 ear infections while they were in. Well they finally fell out and he's been having trouble hearing. I find myself talking loudly and sometimes having to yell at him. I took him to the ear doc and he's got fluid again in his ears blocking him from hearing good.
My kids' pediatrician told me that most ear infections are viral and not bacterial, so antibiotic wouldn't help. Now she was talking about kids, don't know if it's the same for adults. There are natural remedies for ear infections. Don't remember any off the top of my head because we've been blessed to not have any in years, but you can definitely google home remedies and see if any help.
an since has been covering his ears he hates the noise of kids singing.and now he started doing it at home he wants the tv really low.and normally he is the loud one in the house.
Should i be concerned.has any1 had this with there kids.
where is it swollen the outside part or the inside. my kids used to get ear infections all of the time (4 boys with ear infection AGH) any way sometimes they would cry like bloody murder and other times they wouldn't cry and I would have to go in for a chek up and they would have an ear infection and need medication. I would call his doctor and just check with them

i was swimming with my kids the other day and i got water in my right ear, a couple of days passed and it was still plugged up, then it started hurting really bad, since i have been to the hospital and got some antibiotic drops. I am 28 years old and i have NEVER!!! in my life been in so much pain, my ear throbs there is so much pressure it litteraly feelslike my head is going to explode, any advice?
The doctor said it could be otosclerosis and run a HRCT for the right ear and it was ok, my ear was completely normal.They tried a MRI of my head and brain and also everything ok too. In january 2024 the last audiometry result was that I am deaf on the right ear. Hear loss 99.9%.
Two weaks ago I went to the ENT again, because my hearing in the left ear got worse. I was not ill,again no pain,vertigo,nothing... Throat and nose swabs negative.
s had this headache was during trick-or-treating and on the way to SeaWorld in Orlando. They are out of the blue and seem to always be behind her left ear. She says it feels like hot marbles are in her head. sometimes one and sometimes "hundreds" and everything in between. She does have some food allergies and controlled asthma. She did fall down the stairs around the time of the first headache - I called 911 and an ambulance came and EMTs checked her out and said she was fine.
It does work well as it stimulates the inner ear directly bypassing the ear drum and the middle ear. It is usually done under general anesthesia, not a very painful surgery. Before undergoing the surgery ask your doctor to perform a pre-surgical check up on your child with the prototype of those hearing aids. Anymore doubts you are welcome.
Give your doctor a call and ask if they could prescribe you some pain killing ear drops - they quite often give them to kids when they have ear infections and since they are drops instilled in the ear and not taken orally, it could be they would be safe with your high potassium levels.
definitely don't take ANYTHING wihtout first checking with your doctor.
I'm wondering people's experience going from 2 kids to 3? We've just been totally surprised with baby number 3 and my youngest son is 14 months - big brother is 3 years old. I always wanted a third but I guess it just couldn't wait and wanted to join us super earlier than planned ;) I'm excited, nervous, shocked, worried, every mixed emotion possible I am feeling. I'm interested in time management, how you coped and just how much interference a third baby made if any?
ear mites /bugs wax/ best to have the vet look inside they do this when there is an irritation or infection, also earache ...check it out.

The vibrations occur periodically when certain sounds are emitted (i.e. kids screaming loudly, louder sounds). I can also move my jaw/ear in such a way that it makes a "clicking sound" only in affected ear. I can also press near my ear and it will make a similar sound. The vibrations seems worse when I am in the pool too, although when this occurs, it does not seem to me that I have water in my ear. I also have a fullness feeling in my ear when I move my jaw/ear.
