I can hear but, it feel like I have pressure in my ear and as though the right ear only. I also hear slight ringing at times including small clicking noises randomly. I have a 3rd follow up appointment w/ my ENT on Thursday. The 2 hearing tests at this point show loss of low frequency and voices sound high pitched in the right ear.
Should I be going to a specialist? I suggested that I had water in my inner ear but, the doctor will not agree.
I was dumb enough to try ear candling even though studies show it doesn't do what is intended. People swear it helps them and I had been having congested ears. Long story short hot wax from the candle dripped into my ear and now I am in pain. This morning a piece of "candle" wax came out of my ear but I am almost certain there is more in there. My hearing is muffled and when i move my head while sleeping the crackling wakes me up. Any advice or solutions?
On Monday morning I woke with an ear infection. I went to the doctor right away and was given Otic Edge, told to continue an antibiotic I was already on, to call if it wasn't felling better in a couple of days, and to schedule a recheck for a week later. Thursday, my ear still felt plugged, I was getting sharp pains, and ringing so I went back to the doctor. He said that there is alot of drainage in there and it kinda looked like swimmer's ear.
My husband is a doctor so we have exhausted the medical community, ENT, neurologist, internal medicine, chiropractic and all tests, MRI, CAT scan and the official vertigo test at the ENT. Nothing found anything. I finally heard about ear candling. I used 5 in one ear and 6 candles in the other and had INSTANT relief and these candles were full of wax and yeast. I will be repeating this as a preventative measure once a month or more often if needed but I finally have relief.
I do just fine with the gold-filled ear wires and the sterling silver ear wires, but I know my cousins probably can't use anything but pure gold or pure silver. Their metal allergies are as serious as your little girl's metal allergies obviously are. My one cousin closest to my own age was actually wearing earrings one time when I saw her. They were pure gold, that's why. A friend of mine only wears pure gold earrings, because of the gold allergies.
Had for a while a very itchy ear which drive me insane at times. I got hold of some fatty ointment which seems to work, but I like to know what it is without having to race all over the place .

I have had my dog to the vet many times for his ears. They give me the ear wash and a tube of medicine for his ears. I follow their instructions but the ear problem always comes back. (shaking head, smell, etc.). I don't have the money to keep doing this and not getting the problem cured. He is an inside dog, walked on a leash and never runs loose. Any suggestions?
Only use cotton balls to clean the ear leather and down to the opening of the ear. Do not use Q Tips or put anything down into the ear canal. Due to the age, it here could be some health issue going on.
I can understand how getting a large, older to the Vet could be a problem. Do you have someone that could go with you to help? Any chance your Bet would come to your home?
Wish I could be of more help but you just may have to resort to trying to get to the Vet.
health FOOD stores carry what are called ear cones. you place it in you'r ear lobe and light the other end that's not in you'r ear Lol. and it Soaks up all ear wax. water etc. it doesn't Hurt. you feel fast relief.

The problem with outer ear infections in Chinchilla's is that they can lead to middle and inner ear infections if not treated. The ear infection could be due to an infestation of ear mites, a bacterial or fungal infection or a combination. I can't tell from the photo what kind of infection it is but I am leaning toward a bacterial infection.
I went to a ENT and was sure he would see fluid in my ear. He did not. He looked in my ear and then did a hearing test on me. He asked me if I was around noisy machinery. I'm not and he said I have a hearing loss in my right ear and that is what is causing the Tinnitus. He wanted to fit me for a hearing aid. My questions is should I be concerned that he did not do any other tests. I feel like something else could be causing it.
My left ear is plugged everyday and sounds like I have a cold when I dont.... anyone else suffering and how do you cope? I've tried Sudafed and clartin. Nothing works..
I would take him to the vet and ask them to check for ear mites. If it's not mites, it could be a build-up of ear wax down in the ear canal, and if so, the vet has products that you can use to regularly clean his ears. It could also possibly be an ear infection.
Could be you are low in iron (blood test for ferritin, which is your iron stores and iron level available in your blood would show this). Could be you are having a vestibular disorder (can be confirmed by testing through an ear, nose and throat specialist). Could be your blood sugar is low. Could be a neurological problem.
The large grocery stores or other box stores, particularly on the weekends, can be a jumble of noise and people. If I have to bring along one or more kids, and/or if I’m sent to find a couple particular items that I don’t usually buy, then it can certainly be overstimulating. And once in a while the store will move something to another shelf or stop carrying it, leaving me hanging.
