I have heard about Yaz and Yasmin causing more of a risk for blood clots in women....BUT (yes there is a but) almost all birth control pills can cause blood clots especialy if you have had them before, or have had a family history of them. If your nurse wants you to switch to a genric then you can still take Yasmin (but it would be Ocella). It's the same thing.

Hello, I have been on treatment for PCOS for a year and a half now with Drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol birth control pills. My OB/GYN asked for a blood test in order to see how my hormones are doing. While I am content that my testosterone levels are within normal range (it was very high at the moment of diagnosis and I was suffering from many uncomfortable effects) my prolactin levels are 38.25. I understand that this is high but, is it very high? should I be concerned?

The medication the doctor is offering would possibly help but if there are a lot of side effects I suggest not taking it. For me when I have cysts I kind of just tough it out. They are harmless dear. Hot compresses help. If you need anymore info please contact me, I would be glad to share.

I was on the pill for 13 years and went off the pill 8 months ago & still haven't started my period. I went to the gyno & he said this is common, he took blood & tested for thyroid issues & came back normal. He perscribed Provera for me to take by everyone says that made their acne horrible and just made them start but didn't help them to cycle regularly. I think I have a pimple just above my upper lip on right side. Infact I had one that matured and dried out. But this one seems to be hard and big and red. Also my lip is swollen in that area. I now find that I am having these same significant side effects later in tx. This didn't happen last round, but I went 48 then. Anyone else have this happen?

i had similar side effects when coming off the depo shot. I thought i was pregnant and took 3 tests. they went away but it took about 6mo. My docs checked my hormones and pituitary gland and they we all fine. It's probably not the effexor but ck w/ your doc anyway.

I just googled Avastin side effects are there are many sites that have lots of info on there. Also, you could google the manufacturer or ask your oncology center for some fact sheets.... Just a thought.

I am also a breast cancer survivor, however as I am triple negative, the hormonal drugs are not effective for me so unfortunately I cant speak from experience. However, that doesn't mean that I cant find out some interesting information for you in relation to libido and Arimidex.
