doryx and constipation

I am 32 years old and have been prescribed Doryx and a topical acne medication for slight facial and back acne. I have been taking the medication 5-6 weeks and for the past week or so I am noticying hair loss. (roughly double the normal amount of hair I would loose in a day.) My hair is noticably thinning. Could this be a side effect of the medication I am taking? Has anyone else experienced this? On a side note, my skin is now completely clear.

My scalp has also been very dry and itchy with dandruff. I never had any of these problems before Doryx and so of course I stopped about a week ago. My hair is at least half of what it was last year. Please help someone if you know anything? How devastating as a woman to have to go through this. If losing hair was listed as a side effect (like it should be), I would not have taken this. Clearly it's no coincidence.

I started taking Doryx 250 mg as prescribed by me derm around oct 16...the first week was fine but then I noticed the 2nd week I was losing double the amount of hair in the shower. These weren't even new hairs, but complete long strands were falling off and i've never experience that before. I nearly had a heart attack! Hello, I planned on getting STD tested in a few weeks but just completed a ZPACK (azithromycin) for a sinus infection and my dermatologist has put me on 100 mg doryx (doxycycline) for acne. Other then the HIV test should I go ahead and get tested for gono, syph, chla? The doctor deemed it as a possible UTI and I was on a regimen of Doryx 150mg qd X 14d. I abstained from any sex for the duration of treatment. The burning had long subsided and I engaged in intercourse with my partner, who 2 days later found out she tested positive for chlamydia. I having plant protien abd fiber but I am still have constipation and felt like bloated. One more thing, Can popcorn couse constipation. I am regular housemaker.

Lots of water and or gatorade for the dehydration. For the constipation try eating bananas or alot of fruit it helped me.

I'm a 25 year old female and have been suffering with constipation for as long as I can remember and have just been coping with it. At what week is it recommended to get an ultrasound so I make sure everything is normal? Also what Can I take for constipation that is safe I feel so bloated. Ugh. And Safe teas? I drink mint tea....gave up on coffee. Hard.

Im 30 weeks now with my second and have both constipation and hemorrhoids at the same time im in agony. Is there anything I can do to ease this while I wait for my doctor appointment.
