I am prone to yeast infections when taking antibiotics, and DIFLUCAN is the only thing that helps.
As far as dosage, sorry I can not help...I would suggest asking a Pharmacist as they know meds and interaction and reactions better then most drs.
I have a discolored red spot on the shaft of my penis, I have taken keteconozol and diflucan in the past for short periods of time and they have gotten rid of this. Now my doctor put me on 200MG of Keteconozol for 8 weeks at 200mg dosage. I have been taking them now for two weeks, how long will it take this to go away? .
I've taken 2 Diflucan tablets one one friday and one on Saturday. Monday i started bleeding my period is not due for another week.

since then i have been to my gyno who cultured my yeast infection and said best medication for it was diflucan, so he also prescribed me to diflucan for 7 days-never went away. then he again prescribed me diflucan 150 once for 3 weeks. never went away!!!
this is my first yeast infection so i dont know why diflucan will not cure me. i am 22 years old, smoke and drink on the weekends, work out regularly, work nights, recently pretty stressed.
My doctor informed me after having an upper endoscopy done following upper abdominal pain that everything looked great, however, I did have to spots that were either yeast or food. I was so relieved that is was not cancer, etc., that I did not question him further on this. Now I am wondering, if they turn out to have been yeast, do two spots indicate an 'overgrowth" or is that normal to have a certain amount of yeast.
I thought I was having a yeast infection and took diflucan 10 days ago which majorly lessened symptoms. The symptoms never went away fully so my doc called in another diflucan today. Personally I take my full dosage of T4 med in the morning. My T3 med is spit into 2 dosages. I have never heard of a Dr telling a patient to split their T4 med....It is a long acting med and takes a couple of weeks to even start to build up in the body.
IF you have Hashimoto's, then it puts your "optimal" lab ranges into a whole other area. So it is critical to know where your Free T4 and Free T3 results are at.
t adequately lubricated. My OB/GYN prescribed me with Diflucan, I took the dosage and it was gone. We had sex again, yeast infection came back, got another prescription, gone again. Had sex again, it came back AGAIN but this time I went to a different OB/GYN to get a second opinion. Turns out this time I had a yeast infection AND bacterial vaginosis. Dx was hematuria. One Diflucan was administered and 7 or 10 days of Keflex (I forget which) and sent home w/instructions to continue current medications. Family doctor referred for cystoscopy which was also negative.
Urine cleared visibly for a few days and then returned, some episdoes darker than others but never enough to cloud visibility of bottom of bowl. Still no other symptoms. Still always old blood (brown not red or pink).
I am just wanting advice from anyone that has done an antifungal treatment. The main thing I am wanting to know is what was used, for how long, in what dosage and what the die-off effects were. We are looking at S. Boulardi, Nystatin, Diflucan as our main options. Thank you for any help.
I have contracted trichiamonas from my partner, and we were both treated with a 2g dose of metronidazole. Is it stil normal to have irritation and itching after treatment?? We have not had sex, and I am worried that it is not cured, plus I have been giving a 150mg dose of Diflucan.
before she had always given me the diflucan pill and it went away right away. however, this time she gave me the cream and i used it for the 7days like she said and didnt have sex w my bf at all. after the 7th day of using the terconazole cream my bf and i had sex w a condom. the next few days it felt a lil irritated, but i thought it was maybe due to the sex. i then noticed a slight discharge, but thought nothing of it cus it looked like normal discharge...so i thought.
My urologist prescribed 150mg tablets of Diflucan. The first week (last week) I took two of these pills. This seemed to help, the last three days I have had no burning during my morning urine. I still have the itching after ejaculation, but the itching is no longer as intense.

My problem is this.
Took one dose of Diflucan - ended in ER feeling very ill with temp. Given Cipro. Next day, acute swollen, difuse lympadenopathy, fever, joint swelling. Continued Cipro for five days. Extreme fatigue followed, tremor, muscle weakness, perheral neuropathies. Fatigu sever, brfeathing difficult: all PFT normal. Elevagted histamine in urine 3x normal amount. Starting antihistamines and H1 and H2 blockers. Possible Mast cell activation disorder?
I went to a walk in center and I told them about my symptoms and the jus decleared it an yeat infection. (didnt run no test or anything) They gave me a perscription for Diflucan 150mg just 2 pills. They instructed me to take 1 pill and then if within 24 hrs if the symptoms havent cleared up to take the 2nd pill and from there if no progress to make an appointment with my primarly doc.
If your free t4 is high in normal range, yet your t3 is very low, then you probably have problems with converting.The problem is, many Synthroid prescribing doctors (endos.) usually never check it and just assume you're converting the t4 into enough t3 on your own. Also, your TSH is still a little elivated, even though it is in range. Many people feel better when this is slightly lower-say arond 2.0 or even lower. These ranges are very broad, so it matters where you fall within them.
Did a urine test for STDs (chlamydia, gonnehrea) all negative. He prescribed Diflucan and gave me 2 pills. I took the first one and the symptoms got a lot better. Then (my thought is it wasn't fully healed) after sex it returned. So I took another Diflucan, everything seemed cool.
Then I got a really bad cold and was prescribed a Z pack. Surprise! Yeast was back. So I went to the doctor and this time they did a "wet mount" turns out I had BV and Yeast together.
If the doctor prescribed that dosage, then I would trust him/her. Zoloft is typically prescribed from 50-200mg, so your son is taking a 'normal' dosage in my opinion. I was on Zoloft a couple of years ago and had no major problems coming off of it. Just ensure when it is time to come off the medication work with your doctor and taper down slowly.
All three times I, as well as my female partner have tested negative for all STDs. The urologist said to try diflucan first to see if it is a yeast infection, then if the symptoms persisted, take medication for possible trichomoniasis infection. If that didn't work then he would have to do a visual inspection with a camera scope. I took a test for trichomoniasis (urine NAA test) and that came back negative as well.
