They are raised spots and cannot be wiped away. Was treated for thrush with several different medication. finally sent to ENT where they found I had chronically infected adenoids. I have tried to nystatin a couple of times plus difulcan 150mg for 7 days over and over since the end of September and I am currently on diflucan 100mg for 30 days since January 29, 2015. I am about done with that and it is still there..I can't get it to clear up.
Yep sounds like thrush (yeast infection). All you need to do to treat it is to get an antifungal from the chemist. They are generally available over the counter so you don't need to go to the doctor. You can get a once only tablet (fluconazole - Diflucan) or you can use a cream or pessary such as canesten (clotrimazole).
It is very common to get thrush after antibiotics as they kill off all the good bacteria and allow there to be an overgrowth of Candida (the yeast that causes thrush).

Antibiotics are one of the main causes of thrush and it important to take diflucan as soon as you take your last antibiotic to prevent geting thrush. But you also said you have taken diflucan many times so this may be of no help to you.
Anyway you need to go back to your doctor and demand more investigation into this. what an awful time you are going through. Maybe you have become immune to diflucan? Say it to your doctor and see if there is anything else he could give you.

Does this sound like thyroid to you and do you know why i would keep getting oral thrush? I have been treated many times with diflucan for vaginal yeast but the oral didn't devlop until after 7 months of flagyl, 2 steroid shots, ashtama inhlaer and bactrium treatment. Now it won't go away with diflucan treatment.
im told its likely ive had it since my pregnancy 2years ago as i was in terrible pain throughout.However for 2months ive had severe thrush that wont go away,ive tried everything!is it due to weakend immune system?
