I have had a year of cyclical break outs on my tongue of very painful flesh colored bumps on both sides of my tongue and my LLMD thinks it is yeast so I have been taking diflucan for 6 weeks and the bumps went and way and have not come back....until tonight. One has popped up and usually more follow the next day or two. Has anyone had anything like this or can someone make a suggestion of another pill for yeast that would cure this for me?

Hi...candida is yeast and it can cause all types of issues...DIFLUCAN is one of the best meds I know to help rid someone of excess yeast. There r also diet changes that can also help..... I am prone to yeast infections when taking antibiotics, and DIFLUCAN is the only thing that helps. As far as dosage, sorry I can not help...I would suggest asking a Pharmacist as they know meds and interaction and reactions better then most drs.

What is the usual dosage for treatment of toenail fungus with Diflucan? My doctor prescribed it to me and it just seems to be different than normal. He said to take 100 mg/daily for the first 10 days of each month until it's gone. Is that a normal regimen?

After a week i developed an itch on the foreskin[uncircumcised]and a white liquid collected on the side of the penis head after urinating.I visited a urologist who took a swab test(turned out mild bacteria) and put me on diflucan and advised me to get circumcised once cleared as he diagnosed phimosis.Post taking diflucan my urination increased and mild testicle ache strtd. I got circumcised the following week now its 2 weeks.

Okay I've had yellow discahrge and burning since last July. I've been tested for STI's all were negative. ve tried doing swish-and-swallow with liquid Nystatin and/or sprinkling the contents of a probiotic capsule on your tongue or some other methods of direct contact .... I didn't have oral yeast, so not sure what the common methods are, but maybe some are worth trying.

I have a discolored red spot on the shaft of my penis, I have taken keteconozol and diflucan in the past for short periods of time and they have gotten rid of this. If you like liquid, try to find one that's natural, doesn't have sugar or artificial sweeteners, and keep it well protected out of the light.

So basically i was put on prozac 40mg a day. Im 14 and it was liquid prozac. So for liquid prozac for every 5ml you take thats 20mg in pill form. My doctor thought it was for every 5ml of the liquid it is 10mg or the prozac pill form. So anyways.... I told my doctor and she put me back down to 20mg. Now when i was on the 40mg my mind was clear and i was happy. Now..... Since iv been put back on 20mg my thoughts have came back and i fear it wont work again. Any advice?

I have tried to nystatin a couple of times plus difulcan 150mg for 7 days over and over since the end of September and I am currently on diflucan 100mg for 30 days since January 29, 2015. I am about done with that and it is still there..I can't get it to clear up. I've been feeling really badly for the past 3 months and my doctor has just decided to treat me for possible yeast overgrowth based on the recurring sinusitis, vaginal infections, white tongue,etc that I have.

Is your doctor an Endocrinologist, a doctor who trained and specializes on the endocrine system - diabetes, thyroid, pancreas and kidney. If not you need to see one. Most regular doctor do not have the training to deal with diabetes issues like yours, they seem to be 'pill dispensers'. In your case, upping your basal dosage instead of evaluating and finding the root cause. The Endo should check your thyroid too.

I found out i have genital herpes, since then im on suppressive acyclovir but my question pertains to a clear liquid discharge im having that causes me to wear a pad like i am having my period. it is completely clear, no smell but there is tons of it even to gushing. Regular dosage. Whatever it says on the package. Ive been told childrens is better because it is liquid.. i havent tried it, i only take benadryl when im at my parents because of their cats. But someone told me liquid is more effective because its instantly released in your body rather than disolving. Hope that helps!

Yeast newhere indicates an imbalance....so, the DIFLUCAN should help...I am glad u were RX'd it....but, sometimes it takes more than what they first give u to combat this issue...can could be y u got 2 weeks of it...it is normally a 1 pill dosage. I do not know enuff to say if ur nexium could have contributed to the yeast...., I would ask if u have a yeast or bladder infection issue...have u had them in the past?..Sometimes we never fully get rid of them and they spread.

finally, after noticing it getting worse (redness/itchiness/soreness) I went to the GP who prescribed Diflucan. This seemed to help quite a bit... However, about 1-2 weeks later, I started getting discharge (smelly and yellowish liquid) from under the foreskin. The soreness also persisted. I was not able to retract as well, so was unable to see "what was going on" under there. I finally went back to the doctor 3 weeks later, as it had not cleared up.

Long story short I was on lamictal/lamotrigine for a couple years at 300mg per day. I was told to lower the dosage by 50% every week, and it's been 4 weeks now and today is the day I would go down to 30mg per day for a week. However, the 150mg pill can only get so small before it turns to dust, I am having no side effects from the tapering. Would it hurt me to just stop taking it now (at 37.5mg)?
