Avatar n tn About 48 hours ago, I noticed this heat sensation in my left shin. At first I thought I was standing too close to a heat vent in the floor at work! It is a warm, sort of tingly sensation that lasts 5 seconds and occurs, I don't know, 10 times throughout the day. I wonder if I slept on the leg funny?? Stress?? I am 43 and in reasonably good health but seem to be a hypochondriac (spelling?) at times.
Avatar n tn I have muscle spasm in or around the ribs on both sides (in the front under the breast and sometimes in the back at the same horizontal position), it feels like a ball rolling, in that it switches sides. It occurs even at night during sleep, painful enough to wake me. I only know that when I relax and stretch (the side where the knot is) using several positions I have to wait till it goes away, in many cases to have it return in other places described above.
Avatar f tn I tried to remove one with tweezers, and it was very tacky (as in sticky) and clearly goes deep under the skin. Part of it broke off but I could still see that the pore was plugged and a day or two later top of the plug was sticking out again. i can't find ANYTHING online that looks like it.
Avatar n tn The specific supplements I'm taking are both made by GNC (General Nutrition Corporation), but similar supplements are widely available. They're in capsule/pill form. The first one is labeled MSM/Glucosamine, and contains 500 mg MSM and 500 mg d-Glucosamine Sulfate. The second one is labeled TriFlex and contains 1500 mg Glucosamine HCL, 1200 mg Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate, and 900 mg MSM. I take each pill once a day.

Avatar f tn Ken. I bought wrong socks! They were diabetic socks, & they make it worse? Prob. because the tops r to tight? I pray i make it! My symptoms used to be 1 leg. Now it is both legs, & swelling goes up to at least to my knees. My heals aches wen i wake up. Today, i started getting a little dizzy. I cant go to the ER. They just wait till u feel better, n send u home. 2 YEARS AGO, THEY WERE ALREADY TO ADMIT ME(ARM WAS PREPED, & EVERYTHING.) 1.5 Hours later sent me home, with no testing?
534800 tn?1217170959 It usually appears in patches on the top of the calf and in an area above the socks. However in the past two years there has been a tendency for it to appear in small blotches on the tops of the legs too. It is sore at first and gets itchy as it fades in about 5 days. I tried cool baths to relieve the soreness but to no effect and counter intuitively I tried a hot bath. Strangely this, for me, is far more effective.
Avatar n tn My niece is homeschooled. She's type I diabetic and has problems learning in the morning hours (blood sugar level fluctuation problems), so my sister starts her schooling later in the day. When her blood sugar is high she can't add 2 plus 2, but when it's normal, she can do all her times tables. She'd probably be a C student in school. My sister also didn't trust the school nurses to stay adequately on top of measuring her blood sugar levels.
2094297 tn?1345392693 I used to work for a woman, who had been very over-weight, and had to have a pace-maker put in, and she found out she was diabetic. The hospital made her got to classes, to learn exactly what to eat, to keep her diabetes in check. I thought I knew pretty much everything about how to avoid sugar, etc, since I'm a helath-nut, but she taught me alot of stuff.

Avatar n tn and liquid smoke was the culprit being made with hickory which is also a nut, granola bars even they don't have peanuts were made in a factory that also processed food with peanuts. I didn't find the clobetasol helping after using it about 6 months but narrowed it down to nuts and avoiding those have helped greatly. I was never allergic to nuts, but after using peanut oil for the first time, it was started. It is so much better now avoiding all nuts.
Avatar n tn -22 Female -Started a few days ago while at work -Khakis, polo, socks and shoes (which I wear everyday) -The red bumps varry in size -Started around right calf now on both legs and feet -Look like mosquito bites -The more I itch the bigger the area becomes -I have tried different lotions thinking it is dry skin -I read about people talking about the heat but I'm in A/C all day -I am at a loss, the itching is soooo bad it is distracting.
551343 tn?1506834118 Any heat or lying down or activity made them get hot and red and itch in a way I couldn't explain. It made me a cripple for some time. Very interesting about the MS link. I've had a lot of things happen that are all linked to basic autoimmune diseases. I would love to hear more from you. Thanks for sharing and blessings to all.
Avatar f tn I check my temp when I get these episodes and its perfectly normal. I do not have a infection or am not sick. Im not even in a cold environment. Everyone around me is not cold. Its the weirdest thing, and I cant find a answer for it. Its like my body is messed up and sending these chills for no reason. Please help.
Avatar n tn It is also quite possible to have traits of more than one disorder. In the UK we do not medicate our children to the level that happens in the USA, but I suppose we will ge there eventually. But I am not sure that is a good thing! If your child needs to be medicated to such a level to function in school, then I think you should be considering removing medication and looking for a school that can deal with the difficulties he has without medication.
211940 tn?1267884866 Anyways, I still have the pain, and it is extremely terrible at night (on a scale of 1 to 10, a 20 at night). I even have the same pain, in the same place, in my left arm, but to a much lesser degree (maybe a 5-7 at night, but bearable). I have tried many unsuccessful web searches, trying to find something that might lead me to an answer for what this is, so here I am grasping at cyber straws.
Avatar n tn It sweats because colored socks are polyester or have plenty in them. All cotton colored socks fade and get pilly. And white socks are mostly cotton or at least 80% cotton, and absorb what little sweat 2-20% polyester makes one sweat. Or do your feet sweat or itch a lot from the shoes? These are reactions that come and go. But one thing is for sure folks. Plastic allergy is very real. Although mild for most compared to other synthetics, or higher quality plastics.
Avatar f tn From time to time, this everyday level of tremor can increase so that it becomes more noticeable. Occasional noticeable tremor is common in people of all ages, and very common in older people, and does not necessarily mean that you have any sort of medical condition. It can be caused by tiredness, stress, anxiety, or anger. A raised level of adrenalin in your body, which can happen when you become excited or angry, can often cause a noticeable tremor.
Avatar n tn The pudendal nerve is also a potential problem area with which few physicians in the USA are familiar. Pudendal nerve entrapment is commonly overlooked, as are many complaints made by females. I finally got treated and had pudendal neurosurgery by Dr. Lee Ansell in Houston, TX after decades of pudendal and sciatic pain and piriformis syndrome. European docs have been doing the surgery much longer. US docs are coming on board super-slowly. Dr.
Avatar n tn This is really illuminating to find so many others suffering almost identical symptoms. I am a 58 year old male pretty fit and in generally good health. My problem is the intense tearing pain I get in my right knee when I bend at a certain angle and at a certain time. I can't define either because it's so uncertain. I can do situps now with no problem. We all seem to refer to this pain as a tearing pain as it feels like a wound that has been stiched together is tearing apart.
Avatar n tn it doesn't have a distinctive smell but i assume its made from fruit acids. i end up seeing a fly or 2 in my room only when i bathe in it. I think you should try totally changing ur toiletries and switch to other anti-bacterial non fragrance brand to c if it makes a difference. worked wid me.
Avatar n tn I have had these symptoms for just over 4 years. We recently moved to the area and lived in our home for about a year and a half. They randomly appear and I honestly have no idea what triggers them. I have seen multiple dermatologist, who have run a plethora of blood test - all inconclusive. I have tried many creams, nothing that really helps. I have seen an allergist and even subjected myself to the food and pollen allergy panel of tests.
Avatar n tn My doctor told me to go to the feed store and get a bag of sulfur. Then mix it with lotion and rub on the area that was bothering me. Also mix sulfur with shampoo and mild soap, and use in the shower. He said "we'll go back a hundred years". Made no sense to me, but I have comfort for the first time in a year. This was a dermatologist and I didn't believe what he told me, but it has actually helped. He said that lots of people go to the sulfur springs for the same reason.
Avatar n tn I stopped reading that stuff, because it actually made me feel worse! Better to read here. In these days I am ok, I hope it can last.
Avatar n tn I woke up scratching my hand all night and in the morning my hand was burning and swollen. I have never experienced this in my life. Its still itching pretty bad now and only gets worse with more scratching. I was reading all of these posts and was wondering if anyone has any natural remedies for this? Please let me know. Thanks.
Avatar n tn My itchiness has been getting progessively worse for the past few years. I'd say almost 3 yrs now. It's to the point where I can't even engage in intercourse with my partner, go shopping or even go out in the sun. I keep hearing and reading how Urticaria, usually has signs on the skin surface but I don't, except for the really bad itchy feeling.

Finally made it to 30lb loss in 28 days!! itmama...Even though I am doing phase 1 I eat vlcd with the exception of one organic egg for breakfast. and if I need a snack, I have organic nuts. I think I have more to lose than any one else here. I started at 287 and I am 5'5'. I would like to be back at 135-150. Just to be <200 will be wonerful! My weight loss has been all over. Not just one area.
Avatar n tn My hands and feet are almost always cold (in fact, they are right now), and I fall in and out of relatively mild depression. I have been told that carrying the thalassemia trait has no obvious symptoms, but I've been poking around forums a little bit, and the symtoms I experience seem to be fairly common. I'm still looking for ways to lessen the intensity of these symptoms, but for me I've found that maintaining physical activity helps, as well as not oversleeping, or overeating.
Avatar n tn that I can see, unless I give in and scratch. I take cranberry supplements to keep me flushed out for a UTI, which I was treated for last year. My doctor is unsupportive, and unhelpful-told me was due to regrowth from not getting waxed. I just want some facts to arm myself with before trying the doc (new doc) office again. Any suggestions?? All you cooch experts feel free to speculate.
Avatar n tn I was also feeling very sick for about 2 years I had multiple symptoms, I could not control I went to 3 different doctors, to different emergency rooms, and they would tell me I was depress and anxious, and having panic attacks, I have to leave the country, and go the Puerto Rico to get diagnosed it only took them a week to find out I had thyroid disease, they told me I had Hashimotos thyroid disease, I was also extremely low on vitamin D, vitamin B12, and was pre-diabetic.
