Thankfully, we have not dealt with depression up to this point but depression is not uncommon when dealing with diabetes. Your son should be seeing a medical professional for both his diabetes and his emotional needs. You are not a terrible parent. I am sure that it pains you to see him be inactive.
Apply for Medicaid and if that don't work go to your local health department and if thy won't give u anything u can get prenatals over the counter for cheap

Call your Medicaid office and ask how you will be transitioned to Medicare from medicaid when eligible, different states may have different rules. Medicare is Federal, Medicaid health coverage is a combination of state and Federal funds. Although I don't think you want to do that as you will read later.
Normally Medicaid automatically enroll you in Medicare after you get disability benefits for two years.

My nephew is 24 and has had juvenile diabetes since he was a pre-teen. During his teen years, a therapist said he had Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
