I like the women's one a day prenatal with the dha. My last pregnancy I started with those and did well then I switched to the cheapest ones and my iron went low. So I went back to the women's one a day and didn't have anymore problems with my iron.
I get prenatal vitamins with DHA in it. They are larger than regular prenatals, but they did have gummy prenatals that contain DHA (probably because the pills are so big). You take 2 gummies a day.
ll get a lot of recommendations but I did a lot of research and reading of labels and finally settled on Brainstrong prenatals with DHA. It just seemed to have the highest level of all the important stuff, plus DHA which is good for growing those little brain cells.

Dang phone. Vitafusion gummies. They are inexpensive, full of vitamins and they don't make me I'll.
I would just recommend that to give your baby the best help for development that whichever prenatal you choose (which you can get over the counter, or your doctor could prescribe) just make sure that what you get has DHA in it, it's to aid in brain and eye development, and a lot of doctors recommend this. With an previous ectopic pregnancy, and being early on, it would be beneficial to get the most out of a prenatal, and not all of them contain DHA, but it is a very good thing to have.
I take the over the counter brand called nature made, prenatal + dha. It's all in one gel capsule. All of the prescription prenatals made me sick as well, but this one doesn't make me sick at all :). Of course take it on a FULL stomach.
I get the mini prenatals so they are smaller like small tablets and I drink them with milo best thing ever I hate the big horse tablets couldnt get them down they are more expensive because u get small ones but worth I dont get sick anymore
Okay so my current prenatal vitamin does not have Dha in it...is it possible for me to take a Dha vitamin in conjunction with my prenatal vitamin?...if so what is a good brand to take?
Prenatals are for u n the baby especially if it has dha thats for the bbys brain development. I take it when i eat. So everytime i eat its like a instant reminder.
Ppl say chewables r gud b/c its not as annoying i guess
I have a friend w. A five yr old who did not take prenatals at all. It made her sick. But she eventually found chewable dha pills. He seems perfect.
Try nature made prenatal plus dha. They are gel tablets. I started out taking the kind the pharmacy gave me&they were horrible so I switched to those.
So i visited a friend today and she looked at my prenatal vitamins that i had with me and was surprised they didn't have dha in them. She gave me some dha vitamins and recommended that i take them and continue to do so. My dr didn't mention dha. Am i alone in this?
The FDA says that it is safer to have DHA from a non fish source. I say the DHA is straight from the fish and not good to take! I would not take it or stop. I take the one Enfimil makes and it is I think $11 a month from Walmart and it is from a none fish source. I would tell your ob you wnat another one if you don't want that one!
Flolic Acid is the main thing you need to take, but it is good to take prenatals. You can get them at a grocery store. They do lots of good for you and baby.
