I really have no other bleeding symptoms. I cut myself shaving and incur little scrapes and scratches on a pretty regular basis with no prolonged bleeding and I can count on 1 hand the number of nosebleeds I've had in my life (none since 2011). If VWD can't explain this, are there any other conditions that would cause lab abnormalities that mimic type 1 VWD with petechiae as the only symptom?
Mine is partial so it ebbs and flows a bit and I do have to adjust my DDAVP dose sometimes. Without DDAVP my fluid consumption is 4 or more gallons a day. At first, I kept a fluid intake and output diary. Also I weighed myself every morning to see if I was taking to much medication and/or not consuming the right amount of fluids.
And yes, for me the best approach has ended up to take DDAVP just at night so that I can sleep without having to get up every 1/2 hour to drink and pee.
no thats not what i was concerned in and yes your write i missed spelled it was vwd and no the main issue was not the fact that i didnt have a period or that i wanted to know if i was prego it was the fact that i was having cramps that were not normal at all and other stuff as well. and i know that sometimes people with vwd have internal bleeding i was afraid that might have been the case like one of the cyst in my pelvis may have burst causing the cramping feeling.
My daughter is 13 years old and has always & still struggles with bed wetting. She was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes 1.5 years ago. Her endocrinologist does not believe the wetting has to do with her diabetes. If her blood sugars are high before she goes to bed we can almost be 100% sure she will have a wet bed, but most times her sugars are in range and she might still wet. She has also gone through many test on her bladder and all is normal.

Can burying things with her nose cause a nose bleed in a dog. She is an outside dog and has no other symptoms but some drops of blood. She is eating, drinking and does not seem to have any breathing problems. I've only seen her sneeze once. The Top of her nose also seems raw.
m 17yrs old I had a tumor that was attached to the pituitary gland when I was 12 it was removed partially the rest was removed with chemo and radiation due to being attached to my eyes. when I was 15 it came back I had chemo and radiation and it was gone now I had an MRI done and apperantly my doc sees what can be scar tissue or the tumor again.

The only symptoms I feel on a daily bases from my vWD is joint pain, and abnormal bruising, Sometimes I get random nose bleeds, but more sever hemophiliacs have worse symptoms.

Desmopressin is given orally as a tablet and is only for patients over 5 years old. According to the Food and Drug Administration, nasal spray formulations of Desmopressin (Noctiva, others) are no longer recommended for treatment of bed-wetting due to the risk of serious side effects.

I have been having light bleeding since November 8, along with really bad pelvic pain, blood clots, bloating, fatigue, weakness, and feeling like I am getting sick. I have used a nasal spray (DDAVP) for three weeks, but the bleeding did not stop. I tried doubling up on the nasal spray since I was prescribed the wrong strength, but it did not help. I had my second Depo Provera shot on December 7. I thought it would help make the bleeding stop, but I am still bleeding.
I have 8 yr old German shepherd dog. About 12 days back he started to bleed profusely through his nose. I go through bouts of what seems like diabetes insipidus, but i am having to pee every 20-30 minutes, and my bladder is pretty full---and I'm not drinking fluids. it will last a couple of hours, and then quit. i haven't figured out what is going on---but i do have hypopituitarism.
she will have 4 packets of oatmeal and a glass of milk in the am. Another possible symptom is nocturnal enuresis. She is on DDAVP at night .05 mg X approx. 4 months. If I remember to wake her up around 2am she may be dry, before the DDAVP she was going through 2 goodnights diapers a night... if I didn't change it midway she and the bed would be completely soaked.
Anyway, her Thyroid was hyperactive, and she is allergic to Milk and Eggs (she did have hives when we were at the Dr).
ive never went this much during the night..i had to go get on some meds called ddavp to slow it down so i can sleep..
My question is if this is necessary to put her right away on such an expensive tablet, if there is any other way to treat incontinence, how can he diagnose a missing hormone(sorry for my poor language) with a simple blood or urine test and can DDAVP be taken along with other drugs, in particular Clavamox.
I hate the meds and feel best without them. however, lately I have to urinate constantly and have headaches a lot like I did b4 surgery. I do remember my endo telling me something about frequent urination and giving me shots in the hospital because of frequent trips to the potty. I don't remember why or what caused the urination and am tired of getting up every hour at night to pee. should I be concerned?
