Avatar m tn Duloxetine failed the US approval for stress urinary incontinence amidst the concerns about liver toxicity and suicidal events; however, it was approved for this indication in Europe and Canada. Duloxetine alleviates pain associated with diabetic neuropathy and fibromyalgia; however, its efficacy relative to the established treatments, such as anticonvulsants and tricyclic antidepressants, has not been established.

Avatar m tn I think i have UTI and stress incontinence. I have seen a doctor and was prescribed citralka syrup (2-3 times daily) and some tablets (2-3 times daily) for 10 days. Would this be enough to cure these problems?
Avatar n tn My view is that I have always had a psychological stress which I have held for years in my bladder. It is related to childhood trauma. The stress is putting my destrusor muscle into spasm and it doesn't empty properly. Since I have strong urine flow I don't believe that the bladder not emptying is due to the prostrate restriction of the urethra. Does this make any sense to you and what do you recommend I do from here?
Avatar f tn Neither a stent nor a ureteroscopy should cause stress incontinence. It has been at least six months so I would suggest seeing a urologist or gynecologist for further evaluation and consideration of a sling, which is a surgical procedure to correct stress incontinence.
5509293 tn?1428531475 If the muscles that keep your bladder closed are weak, you may have accidents when you sneeze, laugh or lift a heavy object. This is stress incontinence. If bladder muscles become too active, you may feel a strong urge to go to the bathroom when you have little urine in your bladder. This is urge incontinence or overactive bladder. There are other causes of incontinence, such as nerve damage and for this your neurologist may getting brain MRI’s done.
Avatar n tn Hi! To answer your question--yes, yes, and yes! It's also very weird when you only have half of the area down there with feeling and half without. Yes, it can and does happen in MS according to my neuro. He had another patient with the same symptom (numbness). As far as the stress incontinence goes . . . I have had babies before (and one was almost 9 pounds), so in the past I contributed the incontinance to stress incontinence because that is what my GYN said it was.
Avatar f tn Hi, I was just diagnosed with stress incontinence a few weeks ago. The incontinence started right after I had low back surgery for high-grade spondylolisthesis. The urologist thought it was from the nerves in my low back and is sending me back to my neurosurgeon. But I don't see how having surgery a year ago and then having incontinence 6 months after surgery can happen. I was not sure if it's possible that this is a separate issue then my back or not.
1823499 tn?1370090289 I have experienced this myself. I have never had Cymbalta either. They have me on Keppra for Fibro, and Zoloft for depression. I don't like taking them but we have to do what is best for our bodies. Be patient. Easier said than done, but give the med's a chance to get into your symptom. I know on my good day's I over do it and then I pay for it for the next few day's so I suggest you to do thing's in moderation.
Avatar f tn Not really for depression, but for stress and sensory issues. It totally has helped me handle stress in a normal way. I also haven't had any panic attacks since being on it. Another reason I like Cymbalta. i have not had any weight gain. Some meds can make you gain weight. Though I think meds act differently on different people. So probably the only way to figure out if it will work for you is to try it out for 6 weeks. That's what my doctor told me to do.
Avatar n tn My neurologist said he would not do test after I told him also dizzy and forgetting things. He said it was stress. Also, my "pcp" is treating me for fibromyalgia as far as my legs go. Had tried Cymbalta now on Savella.
1549643 tn?1495759353 Am having constant pressure, constant urge to pea when laying down, and stress incontinence. I had the pressure prior to my retrocele repair back in July. Then I also developed incontinence right after the surgery.
Avatar f tn I was told detrol or other meds to help incontinence would not help with stress incontinence. Thank you. It is a very big and embarrising problem for me. I am single and in my mid 40's. Avatar n tn Is a good treatment method of a woman with stress urinary incontinence. Is it applicable for an aged woman? What is this treatment all about? Do I need to assist her during the treatment? How much will be the treatment duration? Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn Yes, I agree, it's called stress incontinence, it affects a lot of women, there is no cure for it, but your doctor can give a script to help you control it.
1040373 tn?1273687488 t have any IV steroids. I have been suffering with urine incontinence that had nothing to do with stress incontinence issues. I was having problems with that"gotta go feeling" and I also was having issues with loosing urine when I would wake up in the morning. When I would wake up, I didn't even know I was urinating on myself, until I would feel a warm sensation, and then in disbelief, I would run to the bathroom. This keeps happening, but not all the time. It comes and goes.
Avatar m tn i suffer from these three things. depression and stress for a long time. extreme anxiety this past month. can these disorders cause fibromyalgia?
352007 tn?1372857881 Now some of you may have experienced stress incontinence in all forms ie: coughing, running, squatting. But when you yell while standing up? LOL! Yep, yep! That's happened to me! Now as I'm talking to my neighbor across the street, a stream of urine is running down my leg saturating my pants. Thank goodness she was older and probably has presbyopia. (I would hope). Anyone else?
