cymbalta

757597 tn?1315801812 Right before I read your post, I've been reading the Tramadol withdrawl thread under EmilyPost posts. I really suggest you read it and see what other users have experienced. At my peak I was on both Cymbalta and Lyrica (for three years) plus eight Ultracet each day (for three years). I've discontinued both the Cymbalta and Lyrica (and this wasn't pretty!) and I am on the Ultracet "reduction plan" - down to two per day.
906679 tn?1263612612 I took them together without any side effects and the pharmacist did not warn me of any drug interactions. None of the literature warns to avoid acetaminophen. I assume they are safe to take together. Again always check with your pharmacist before taking and drugs together. They are the experts. Best of luck to you. Please let us know how you are doing.
Avatar m tn i finally goggled my meds on drug interactions and all these were MAJOR drug interactions causing something called serotonin syndrome or serotonin toxity...this can be fatal and i felt like i was going to die...THIS IS OF NO CONCERN IF YOU ARE NOT ON OTHER MEDS WITH SEROTONIN....BUT BE AWARE THAT COUGH MEDS and other over-the-counter meds can interact in a milder way (i guess....
4753943 tn?1359934569 Go to Drugs.com and check drug interactions. You add them 1 at a time. See what it says.
962875 tn?1314210036 This is absolutely wonderful information that should be printed for each person on tamoxifen! Drug interactions are so important and if you're taking one thing that's stopping the other from working properly, you need to know it and make changes! Great job!!!!!
Avatar f tn For neuropathy and other sensations I had relief with both Cymbalta and Lyrica. The only downside to the Lyrica was difficulty with cognition and drowsiness. Savella (milnacipran) is the new medication and it works much the same as Cymbalta...it is an antidepressant. As uk2 mentioned, the patches help with pain as well. My current treatment is with Ultram for both FMS and RSD and Trazadone for sleep. It's much a 'trial and error'...
Avatar m tn I don't think cj and I mean to be following each other around the forum, but sometimes we each feel strongly about a question and want to add our two cents. What cj told you regarding discussing adding ANY herbal supplement to a prescription drug with your doctor, I can't agree with more. In the past, we have all assumed that if something is "natural" it can't hurt us.
Avatar n tn My psychiatrist prescribed 90 mg. Cymbalta, 300 mg. of Wellbutrin and then, 50 mg. Trazadone before bed. After reading quite a bit, I am concerned it it is safe to take the Trazadone with these other drugs. This is not a new psychiatrist. I have seen her for the past three years and I suffer from severe depression, PTSD, anxiety disorder and possible agorophobia. I just want to make certain I am safe!
1018335 tn?1270080530 I would like to get off suboxone sometime this year. could i take something like cymbalta and just quit the suboxone - basicly having the anti depressant take it's place in some way? are there any combinations that work with suboxone? I am seeing my phsciatrist tomarrow and would like to have some ideas as far as my medications. this is so confusing, yet liberating that soon i will be functional for the first time in my life. Thanks for your help.
Avatar f tn My psychiatrist, who I see every 2 months, is starting me on Lithium low dose (300 MG/day) and he said it could have interactions with some of my heart meds, lasix in peticular, but didnt go into much detail and said things should be fine. I dont see my cardiologist for another 2 months, and my GP till January 4th (I see him every two weeks). I am extremely nervous about taking the lithium without knowing anything about it and how it can interact with the lasix or other meds.
Avatar f tn There're few web sites that shows "drug interactions", and "drug/herb/food interactions" ...do a search online for words in " ",I am sure you'll find your answers.....if not, please feel free to message me and I'll send you a link.
Avatar n tn Prozac now 40mg and fentanyl 50mcg. and he is now talking in his sleep every night and constantly scratching at himself in his sleep.
Avatar n tn Potential side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, headache, and nervousness. Because the combination of chlordiazepoxide and alcohol (ethanol) may impair your judgment and/or reflexes, it may be dangerous to drive or to perform tasks which require you to be alert after taking these together. It would be advisable to avoid consuming alcohol while you are taking chlordiazepoxide.
Avatar f tn I just went up to the booth when I was picking up the amtriptyline and said I have an old rx for ultram and the doctor said It was ok to take with the amtriptyline and she said yes. Then of course I come home and put it in the computer where I keep all my prescribtions for any recalls and it comes up it may cause seizures. I am guessing if you are on a very high does of amtriptyline but I only take .10-.20 so that is very low. It is used for pain managment and not for depression.
Avatar m tn This morning the pain is still there as is some slight nausea though I was able to eat something. Does anyone know of drug interactions between Anacin and Progesterone? Is there something else it could be?
Avatar m tn The proposed mechanisms are inhibition of warfarin metabolism and decreased synthesis of clotting factors. Binge drinking may exacerbate liver impairment and its metabolic ability in patients with liver dysfunction. The risk of bleeding may be increased. Conversely, reductions in INR/PT have also been reported in chronic alcoholics with liver disease. The proposed mechanism is that continual drinking of large amounts of alcohol induces the hepatic metabolism of anticoagulants.
708731 tn?1229049180 I would look at the birth control pill in relation to your thyroid medication and disease, and also the consequences of mixing the birth control and the Prozac. You may find that switching birth control will allow for treatment other than Prozac. Just a thought, but I think it has merit. Keeping up on your bloodwork and getting stable at the correct level is the best medicine. If Prozac helps short term, go for it. I'm taking xanax.
Avatar f tn I take 24mg suboxone daily. Iam bi-polar and was prescribed pristiq and abilify, after i went on the suboxone, which i did not tell the doc i was on. I took my first dose of the meds, the abilify and pristiq, (which i had been on before) and got deathly ill, for about 6 hours, then i felt drugged until the next day. I have not tryed it again. Iam only on the suboxone, but i want to get off of it, it has changed my life for the better, in every way, except the cost.
