t be so sure your kids are safe. There a different types of hoarders. It could be alot of simple junk or it can be dirty decomposition of food and animals. How can you be sure? I would put my foot down and say simple. If you child are to be allowed over then I need to see the home for myself. End of story.

Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.

She has 26 animals 11 outside big unfriendly dogs that only she can interact with which is ok, 6 inside little dogs and 6 or7 inside cats now she lives in older 2 bedrroom 2 bath trailer which is fine but once you walk in door all you smell is cat pi$$ awful and her house is a plum mess something you would see on tv hoarders that bad. She loves her animals and takes care them but not house.

I totally agree with @mommylece and @heavenlyhash, I would do that not so much now to get rid of it but to see has reaction of what is more important- his child on the way or memories of other women. IMO...

I know exactly how you feel. The only rooms that aren't messy at my place are the bathrooms & the babys room lol! I work full time & when i get home I'm like why bother?.. Hopefully i get a day or two cleaning spurt & get it done!

Those little steps really do add up. Also, even just getting out of the house and walking around the block helps. You don't have to do a mile, and you don't have to jog or race walk. It will take time. You will notice that each day gets a little better.

Yep I have FIOS and it *****, they repeat all the movies over and over, I am locked into a 2year lease with them , I get the phone, the PC and the TV in a package and signed for 2 years or pay $250 sometimes I think of paying their blood money, Masses of re runs, I love House but I seem to get all the old stuff, however they have started the new series this last week.

I moved into his house after helping my mother out for a couple of years. His house looked like something out of a hoarders episode. The filth and clutter was so overwhelming that the first day I spent cleaning I ended up with Bronchitis and Pharyngitis from the damp and mold since he did not properly heat the house. Have you ever seen an episode of CSI? Usually material can be transferred from one surface to another. Factors will influence the ease of and amount transferred. I think it wouldn't hurt to talk to your doctor or a psychotherapist.

It depends. First is your alpha accepting of guests in the home? Is she comfortable with commotion? How is she when she sees you in pain? For instance... if she isn't all that comfortable with strangers in the home I would err on the side of caution. If she handles stress and commotion badly, again err on the side of caution. If she doesn't react well to seeing or hearing you in pain... definitely keep her outside or at least in another room. With all that said.
