Contractions in late pregnancy

Common Questions and Answers about Contractions in late pregnancy

contractions

Avatar f tn D just to get checked out and turns out I was in pre labour at 26 weeks.. Regular contractions at around a 50 on the toco scale every couple of minutes. I'm on medication to stop the contractions, they have eased but not stopped, and I've been given a shot to develop bubs lungs. If They manage to stop the contractions ill be on light duties for work and must take medication the rest of my pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Symptoms: Nausea, Breasts Hurting, Fatigue, Food Cravings, Headaches, Dizziness, Late Period. No pregnancy doesn't hurt. Unless you have round ligament pain. It will hurt once you get contractions and go into labor. Pregnancy doesn't feel like anything until you get a belly going. You'll feel your symptoms from pregnancy. And you'll feel baby move between 16-20 weeks. That feels like gas bubbles, popcorn popping a and flutters at first.
Avatar f tn Anyone else being sick toward the end of pregnancy? I am 37+5 feel so tired sick n few pains here n there can anyone relate? Is labour round the corner?
Avatar f tn s a lot of pressure and aching especially in late pregnancy. Just part of the deal. My doc said just today - if you have to ask, its not labour. You will KNOW when its time because its gonna be painful regular contractions that you have to try to breathe and focus to get through. And he reiterated to use the 5 1 1 rule. Contractions 5 minutes apart that last for 1 minute for at least 1 hour straight. Or if water breaks come in immediately.
Avatar f tn They could prolly bee mild contractions defintely not cramps for ure period ....
Avatar f tn So I'm 36 weeks and pregnant with my first baby ive had a few bumps in the road that lead me to a high risk doctor while there they hooked me up to the monitor and told me I was having some contractions obviously not lasting that long but they where there...funny thing is I didn't feel them, then when seeing my regular obgyn I asked about the mucus plug and the nurse told me it's completely normal to begin losing it now which I have.
4530757 tn?1358353386 With everyone jumping in to stop it, not much happened. Earlier in my pregnancy i was getting contractions, went into preterm labor and all. Luckily i was able to keep my baby inside by being on bed rest. An hour after the fight i started getting sharp pains but they dont last for very long. This morning i feel alot more kicks than usual associated with the sharp pains. Its not contractions but maybe its braxton hicks in a different way, im not sure. Should i go to the hospital??!!
Avatar f tn With my second pregnancy I had contractions at 6 months which lasted a few hours, but by the time I got seen at the hospital they stopped. The same thing happened at around 7 months and they stopped again by themselves. I was petrified but in the end she ended up arriving 5 days late!
Avatar f tn Don't worry. Some women will be up to 40 weeks with no baby still.
Avatar f tn The cramps in your legs are normal during pregnancy unfortunately. The tightening in your stomach may be associated it with or it sounds like that could be Braxton hicks contractions.
12584065 tn?1436320514 I would strong BH when I did anything physical when I was pregnant with my son. Late in pregnancy they would be strong enough to become uncomfortable. I don't think it was every time I got up though.
Avatar f tn IM a first time mom so I am confused can someone please explain what I'm feeling? Its a kind of feeling in my lower stomach like if I'm about to start my period I get this SLIGHT PAIN feeling... I'm 37 weeks!
Avatar f tn I never felt contractions with my first, who was delivered at 40+1, I had no signs of labor until I was in active labor with severe lower back and hip pain. All through that labor I never felt contractions in my belly, just the pain in my hips and back. This time I'm 36+3 and I haven't felt any contractions yet either even though I've already started dilating and effacing. Labor can come at anytime regardless of if you've felt contractions before hand or not.
Avatar n tn Here lately I have been waking up in the middle of the night groaning and in pain due to contractions however I cnt never seem to time them because I'm just too sleepy.
Avatar f tn I'm 35+4, due Feb 9, and I have not had any contractions, I haven't lost my mucous plug, I'm not dialated at all, and compared to a lot of people, I have had an extremely easy pregnancy. And I notice allot off women due around the same time are experiencing some form of indication that they are due soon but nothing over here. She hasn't even dropped yet. I know every pregnancy is different but is there a chance I will be go way over my due date because of this?
1128483 tn?1277340286 Has anyone started to notice Braxton hicks Contractions? I didn't really get much of them at all with my first pregnancy but this time I've been getting them for the past month at least. At first i wasn't sure what it was, but then more recently it's started happening every 3 days or so. I'm not worried about it as I know it's normal, but I'm just wondering if other's are having the same thing.
Avatar f tn Yeah contractions are rough. It's your epidural going well, working right and everything? I went natural with my daughter, probably will only ever go natural, but I'm so curious what an epidural feels like!
Avatar n tn If i have most of my contractions late at night into the early morn hours is that most likely when i will have the baby/ go into labor? I think its a stupid question which is why i havnt ask my doctor.
