Avatar f tn of dilated pupils, lasting hours at a time, and short episodes of blurry vision, lasting only a few minutes, and also short episodes of very sharp head pain, again, lasting only a few minutes. She does not use drugs at all, and she is very active in Color Guard - so may get hit in the head occasionally - but denies a recent injury. She saw an eye doctor, all checked out ok, they said no swelling of the optic nerve. She had a CT scan, again, all ok.
Avatar f tn After that, he seemed normal, with just a sore bruise in his head. He didn’t have nausea, blurry vision or confusion. Do you think he had a concussion/minor traumatic brain damage? Can this kind of impact be enough to cause concussion? Thanks for reading!
Avatar f tn t a very hard hit, she felt a cool trickling sensation from where she bumped it. Now, a month later, she still has headaches off and on as wall as occasional blurry vision. She is 54 years old, and although she does wear contacts, she has never had a problem with vision before. She is quite stubborn and insists that she is fine, but I still worry about her. Are my worries justified?
Avatar m tn post concussion syndrome develops over time and is worse than before injury. Symptoms are headaches or blurry vision. Others include changes in the ability to think, sleep changes, personality changes, becoming anxious or angry for no reason, changes in sex drive, dizziness, light headedness or unsteadiness. Consult your neurologist, who will check your strength, balance, coordination, reflexes, and sensation. CT scan, MRI to check any damage to brain.
Avatar n tn Are you having any vision changing, i.e., blurry vision, double vision? Have you taken any medications? If so, you need to stay away from Mortin, Naproxen, Aleve, Advil, ibuprofen. You need to take like Tylenol or acetaminophen. I think you need to go to the ER (they have to provide care no matter then situation).
Avatar f tn I sleep all the time and my headache is getting worse and not responding to meds. My vision keeps getting blurry even going completely black and my feet still have numbness that isn't going away. I'm very dizzy and feel flushed. Upon looking into the mirror I noticed I'm extremely pale. I keep falling asleep and I keep feeling the need to vomit though nothing is coming up. I'm considering going back to the er but do not want to waste time or resources.
Avatar n tn He has had headaches every day but thinks they started before the bump. Since the bump, he has had double vision and blurry vision. Optometrist says he has bilateral optic nerve swelling and has sent him to ophthalmologist today. He has had no previous symptoms and the eye changes and on and off dizziness started after the head bump. Would a concussion be the most likely cause of the optic nerve swelling and vision changes?
Avatar f tn Symptoms of a concussion include memory loss, headaches or blurry vision, nausea, inability to stand or walk or having coordination and balance problems. There is an entity of post concussive syndrome where there is inability to think and headaches, changes in sleep patterns and personality etc. This needs to be evaluated clinically, CT/MRI scan brain needs to be done to rule out. Take care.
Avatar m tn I hit the middle, right side of my forehead at work and ended up with a " goose egg " and small cut where I hit it. I got a headache and then very nauseated about 20 minutes later. The next day at work I was almost finished with my shift and all the sudden I got so dizzy I couldn't walk out of work without holding on to the wall. The third day when I was at home, I woke up, I still had a headache and was dizzy all day and just felt blah so I went to my dr. that day.
Avatar m tn s moving under me as well as blurry vision, and sharp headache that only last a short amount of time. I have been able to push through it for now, but will these symptoms last forever?
Avatar n tn If you ever feel nasueous, get blurry or changed vision, or have unexplained fainting or extreme dizziness go to the ER. You may need to get a CT to check your head for other problems. Good luck to you.
Avatar f tn the last MRI was on 2009 after that i been having this syntoms blackouts, horrible headaches all day every day, dizzyness, tired all the time, sleepy, lack of motivation, difficulty concentrating, blurry vision, cooling feeling all over body, and forgetfulness.
Avatar f tn I have seen the Cataract Specialist for an evaluation and she explained to me that I can have them removed because with them my vision has drastically decreased even in just a matter of weeks to 20/200. However, they told me the eye problems I am experiencing (doubled, blurry vision and drastic loss of vision) does not make sense from just having the cataracts.
Avatar f tn Also I am incredibly unbalanced and all of these symptoms worsened after my last concussion which happened to be my fifth. From this one I had a report of severe concussion with mild amnesia, which four months later has not gone away. I also exhibit no abnormalities in my eyes. Sorry I forgot to include this before.
Avatar m tn Where neck and back connect it is VERY sensitive to light touch. Like nails on a chalk board. Vision has black spots and is blurry here and there. Double vision when I am focusing on something close. Not all the time though. Extreme tightness from back (about where a bra would be) through to the front a few fingers below where the ribs connect. It has happened a few times. Usually waking me up in the night but this last time was during the evening.
Avatar f tn re supposed to take it easy after a concussion and orgasm raises your BP and all. Most of my symptoms of the concussion have gone away, aside from double vision. Thoughts?
Avatar n tn I'm 20 years old and I've been having a lot of problems with headaches lately. I've had migraines off and on since I was about 12 years old (always with auras), but lately they've gotten quite worse. My eyes are the main problem. I've noticed lately that my vision will get blurry and that I lose my periphial vision with regular headaches, too.
5690865 tn?1372451618 the scrambling vision has been happening to me since I was younger than 4, at least from my memory, I always blinked or shook it off until this incident.
1458533 tn?1285685681 Decrease in tears, dryness of eye, conjunctivitis, palpebral edema, stye, lacrimal sac infection, eye strain, refractive errors of eye like near or far sightedness etc can all cause blurry vision. Chronic eye static may be due to the electrical activity inside our eye. This produces an image of the vitreous and retina, sometimes white spots against black or vice versa and sometimes red hues too. This is normal. Rarely this is due to inflammation. Hope you have consulted an eye specialist.
1970954 tn?1325969833 I took allergy pills, took medication to clean my ears up, took anti-depressants. Non of it works. I fell off a gate a few years ago, I'm sure I had a concussion. My vision was blurry and I felt like I was going to throw up. Now I feel disconnected and can't focus. Little noises and light bothers me so bad, I can hardly stay conscious at school with the lights. Please, don't tell me something I know, help me figure out what's wrong before it's too late.
Avatar n tn Years ago I had an untreated closed head injury concussion to the left temporal lobe about 1mm from left temple and two days later the blood had drained into my eye to create a massive purple black eye. Along with that I had a mystery childhood disease that put me in the hospital quarantine for two weeks with a fever of 105degrees that was lowered from an ice bath. I do smoke lightly and had diabetes with my last pregnancy.
Avatar f tn t due to the concussion but something found because of the concussion causing you to get diagnostic testing done. But I would get a 2d opinion unless the near-surgeon and the testing saw something urgent. A lot can be wrong without symptoms.
Avatar n tn Your symptoms could be due to migraine or PCS ( post concussion syndrome ) because of the concussion that you had years ago. Please go for an MRI brain to know the exact cause and consult a neurologist for treatment as a delay could be dangerous. There are chances of getting a stroke. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards !
