) On the other hand, would I endanger my health by taking the Clindamycin after so many other recent antibiotic courses (including 16 days of Clindamycin in September)?
My question is I seem to have an absessed tooth I was perscribed clindamycin for it but was told to take 12 pills daily each being 150 mg does this seem normal? I am calling my doctor tomorrow to see what she thinks, just kinda wondered if anyone else has had this issue.

Took flagyl but I was allergic to I switched to clindamycin. I took that clindesse clindamycin vaginal cream, didn't work!!! Clindamycin HCl tablets for 7 days didn't work!!! Now they want me to take clindamycin HCl for 7 days again!!!??!!!!!! I'm sooooooo confused, frustrated, devastated, im cryinh and all mix nega emotions!!!!
I have been to the doctor twice now to get it checked out. At first the doctor prescribe me some Fluconazole Tablets and Nystatin because she thought I had a yeast infection. After a month had gone by i have not seen an improvement. I went to the doctor again and saw another doctor. He prescribe to me clindamycin phosphate lotion. This also did not improve my symptom. Can someone tell me what's wrong with me.
About 3 Weeks ago, I noticed a few small clusters(Flea Bite Size) of bumps on my inner-thigh and going around up my buttocks, I waited to see if they go away thinking they were just bug bites and the itching became so unbearable I had to go to the ER, I also don't have insurance till January. I have hidradenitis suppurativa and have just finished a course of doxycycline which I was on for 6 months.
Tomorrow I am starting a new course of cindamycin hydrochloride and when I went to the pharmacist I was advised by the chemist to take a pro biotic which contains 12.5 billion lactobacillus acidophilus (NCFM) organisms and 12.5 billion ifidobacterium lactis organisms.

t work to treat staph! I m confident on my doc but just that a month is too long. and these tablets seems to increase my boils and the 1st day gave me bad chest pain. My boils are very tiny but many. now getting blackheads on my chest and thighs and got a hair on my chin(female) which was nvr there earlier! but my fever is not high!! i feel week!! i shiver at times (not coz of cold)!! my doc says till the time i don't have high fever, i m not really too infected!!
has given me 10 days of clindamycin to be taken 3 times a day at a dose of 450 mgs. this is fine, i can take clindamycin with no ill effects.
HOWEVER, i have read that this drug is not commonly used to treat std's as there are so many better options. Is clindamycin going to work??? Thanks.
I went to see my Gyno on 4/16 and was prescribed Metronidazole 500mg and Fluconazole 150 mg tablets. After treatment, my symptoms did not stop or lessen. I then was prescribed Clindamycin 2% vaginal cream 40gm on 5/3. After treatment, my symptoms still exists. Occasionally I will have sharp pelvic pains, like horrible cramping. It does not last long and is not constant. I've only been sexually active with my husband, no one else. Since March, I have been bleeding after intercourse.

After my hospital stay, I was sent home with Clindamycin and Ampicillin capsules to take for 5 days. I had diarrhea for 4 days straight and called the Dr. She told me to stop taking the medicines immediately. About 4 days later, I was stricken with severe abdominal cramping, nausea and watery diarrhea. I was rushed to the emergency room and had CT scans, abdominal XRays, and stool samples taken. I was diagnosed with C. diff.

I have been prescribed Zithromax (Azithromycin) 250mg (6 tablets - take 2 on first day and take 1 for next 4 days)
MY QUESTIONS:
1) For a first-time treatment, does this course of antibiotics make sense? (is it the best antibiotic? Is it the best strength and length of dose?
t seem to have problems with doxycycline, amoxicillin or clindamycin. Clindamycin destroys my stomach though. I avoid cipro and zithromax.
I presented with only one sore at my cheekbone and was given clindamycin orally for 14 days and Bactroban ointment for topical use. The sore was believed to be an early indication of MRSA. I quickly developed cellulitis and swelling near, but not touching, the apparent abscess, as well as blisters in my nose. I used the mupiricin.(Bactroban) to keep the nasal blisters moist. Now diagnosed with post-herpetic neuralgia, but I still have blisters in my nose treating with Bactroban.
then i had an appointment with gp who told me i had h pylori from a test the month previous i was given 3 tablets to cure it and 1 of them was ammoxicillin and again after 3 days the same symptoms came back. i was told that i react badly to ammoxicillin and was given different meds which are ok.the thing that i need to know is that the only thing that ammoxicillin and thyroxine have in common is magnesium sterate and could this be the problem. is it possible to be sensitive ???
t having sex, I went to di doctor and I got a cream and some viginal tablets seven of them, I was told to use them for one week but after the one week it came back this it has a powerish appearance when it is dry. I can't seem to get rid of it everytime i go to the doctor and get medication for it a day after I finish taking the meds it comes back.
I have two failed implants due to infection which did not respond to Clindamycin. I also got a bad reaction to Clindamycin a feeling of big lump in throat, sore throat and severe heartburn. In spite of the fact that I drank at least 10ounces of water with each pill.
My question is since I'm allergic to penicillin. What antibiotic is effective for teeth and gum infections????

Also, the infection has been treated with numerous antibiotics (amoxicillin, flagyl, omnicef, augmentin, clindamycin), and all seem to help at first, but only clindamycin has lasting effects. Not even augmentin worked. Any idea on what kind of bacteria would respond to clindamycin but not augmentin?
Is an excruciating headache a sign of a reaction to clindamycin? I can't take it anymore, and my CT scan came back clean. I'm on the antibiotic as a preventative measure after sinus surgery (I'm about a week out). There's no infection, and all the drainage, etc. is normal.
I have googled Clindamycin and found that there is a link between torsades and Clindamycin. Is this drug in the same family as Erythromycin? Should I be safe and stop taking it. I have been taking it for 4 days and have 1 day left. My infection, which wasn't very bad to start with, is now gone. I have been having an increase of bradycardia and PVCs and I am a bit concerned. I don't have an ICD.

I've taken Clindamycin and fluconazole to kill a yeast infection. But now my doctor tells me I might possibly get it back because antibiotics can cause yeast infections. I'm not even sure...
I have been prescribed Clindamycin to clear up a possible tooth infection. I was wondering if anyone has had any heart rhythm problems attributed to antibiotics. I have pvcs/pacs, all tests, ekg, echo has come back completely normal. Im just worried about taking a new medication,, afraid it may cause the palpitations to be worse, better yet cause a dangerous arrythmia!! Any advice would be great!!
