I was directed to take it 3x a day until it was all gone. I took it for about a week straight. I noticed while I was on the medication that I had very severe episodes of diarrhea and stomach cramping. I stopped taking the medication as of yesterday.
I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed on Monday with IV sedation. I was given 800mg ibuprofen every 6 hours, vicodin 5-325 every 4 hours. On day 3 I was in excruciating pain with huge hard lumps on the sides of my face that hurt so I went back to the dentist and he prescribed me x2 150mg of Clindamycin every 6 hours. I weigh around 150 lbs, 22 year old female, 5'3.

I also have clindamycin that my dentist gives me before dental work I have to take this becase of open heart many years ago. I dont take any medication other than sentroid for thyroid any suggestions.
I have been prescribed Clindamycin to clear up a possible tooth infection. I was wondering if anyone has had any heart rhythm problems attributed to antibiotics. I have pvcs/pacs, all tests, ekg, echo has come back completely normal. Im just worried about taking a new medication,, afraid it may cause the palpitations to be worse, better yet cause a dangerous arrythmia!! Any advice would be great!!
I had some teeth extracted and had a bit of discomfort a few days after. I am allergic to Penicillin, so my oral surgeon prescribed Clindamycin 150mg 4 times daily, for 7 days.(November 5th )
Mouth pain went away and about the first week of December (one month later) and up to this date, i have lose stools, not quite diarreha but they are soft and accompanied by mucous like substance. Stress has always been a big part of my life, but never a problem so i am ruling that out.
Hi I Was Recently Sick and Had To Begin taking an antibiotic called Clindamycin. Will I Be Okay To Drink Alcohol While On This Medication. I Have Read That This Antibiotic Doesn't Have Any Negative Affects While Drinking Alcohol. But Just Wanted To Double Check.
About 5 weeks ago I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed, and the oral surgeon prescribed me Clindamycin to prevent infection. A day or two after I finished my prescription I noticed that I wiped up a little blood on the toilet paper after going to the bathroom. I looked it up on the internet, and it said blood from the rectum could possibly be due to antibiotics, so I thought no big deal. I was also taking Ibuprofin and Vicodin for pain during the antibiotics.
Ladies, tell me the truth is it me or its just this stupid ksjahqbskcidow bacterial vaginosis?!?!? Ugh I've had since I found out I'm pregnant! Took flagyl but I was allergic to I switched to clindamycin. I took that clindesse clindamycin vaginal cream, didn't work!!! Clindamycin HCl tablets for 7 days didn't work!!! Now they want me to take clindamycin HCl for 7 days again!!!??!!!!!! I'm sooooooo confused, frustrated, devastated, im cryinh and all mix nega emotions!!!!
Now it is infected with swelling and pain going down the side of my neck almost to the collarbone. I went to see a healthcare professional (a nurse that can prescribe medication) and she determined that Clindamycin is the best antibiotic since I'm allergic to Penicillin. My worry is that it might not be strong enough and the infection will get worse. What should I do? Thanks!
went to the dentist and he said the infection had gone into my tissue. He put me on Clindamycin on wed.. the lump is still there and the pain had subsided until today. The pain is now really bad. How long does it take for the antibotics to work? have an appt. to have tooth pulled out on the 14th. How long should I give the lump to go down before going to ER for Iv antibiotics?
Can clindamycin kill the bacteria in the back of my throat. I had the same thing happened to me before, I had bacteria on my tonsils and in the back of my throat and I used amoxicillin but it only killed the bacteria on my tonsils. Then from not treating the bacteria in the back of my throat caused my tonsils down my throat to swell so I was prescribed prednisone. It cured.
in urgent care and prescribed clindamycin e150 mg pills....3 pills 3x per day (12 pills) she is 15 and 119 lbs. Was not diagnosed with ANYTHING. Now we have had a utility, yeast infection, her iron level is at 30, she has passed out over 5 times, cannot sleep has lost weight, major stomach pain etc. urgent care has said it was right meds and right dose. NO WAY!
My eight year old is allergic to amoxicillin, zithromax, clindamycin, and cefzil. We have seen an allergist, and he said there are no tests for antibiotics and that "we have a problem." Can someone please guide me in what to do next? My doctor was hoping the allergist would help guide us for future treatments. I am fearful for any infection like strep throat, ear or skin infections, we have run out of options.
I've been taking Clindamycin (Antibiotic) for two days since I've had a Pilonidal cyst drained and they're starting to make me feel nauseous and dizzy, almost like being really drunk. My diet has not changed so it has to be this medicine. I'm not sure if I should continue the medication or what to do as it is the weekend and Doctor's offices are closed. I was also prescribed Hydrocodones for the pain, but am not taking any as I hate the side effects, nausea and dizziness!!
I am taking Clindamycin Vaginal 2% every night for my syphilis along with Penicillin. Is it ok to take Clindamycin during menstruation?

I have some clindamycin but not sure if that is an appropriate medication for a cat. he weighs 11 lbs.
has given me 10 days of clindamycin to be taken 3 times a day at a dose of 450 mgs. this is fine, i can take clindamycin with no ill effects.
HOWEVER, i have read that this drug is not commonly used to treat std's as there are so many better options. Is clindamycin going to work??? Thanks.
blood and urine tests and xrays plus physical exam showed nothing. Specialist ran a toxo test which came back positive. We put him on Clindamycin for 30 days and by dat 29 he was 100% back to normal.
Then two days off antibiotics and he was acting sick and hiding again. Back on Clindamycin but it's been 7 days and he has not popping back as quickly as he did last time. His pupils are dilated and he is hiding from us (normally loves attention!
they came back...they turned out not to be that. so then he diagnosed them as follicuitis and gave me clindamycin which made the bumps go away tempory. when ever i stopped the medication they would come back and he just told me to keep taking the medication. I have been taking it for over 6 months and what ever these bumps are ....have become resistent to the medication. some bumps are super tiny like the head of a needle while others are flat with the circumfrince of a pencil eraser.

I was prescribed Erythromycin and following that Clindamycin. Approximately a week after I stopped the medication I had a sudden and severe onset of diarrhea. I waited several days and when it didn't stop I saw a family M.D. He ordered a stool culture and some additional tests on the stool all which came out negative. Initially he thought it was a result of the antibiotics however with the negative lab results he no longer believes this is the problem and wants me to get a colonoscopy.
I took 2 on thursday and felt numbness in my right big toe.
