hey its me Eddy Abraham i have some acne on my face like cystic .. my doctor suggest me a face wash cetaphile and he ask me to use (morning) Clindamycin and in the night retino a .25% .. can i use ahglow s for morning face wash and in the night cetaphile ?
I am having Acne vulgaris on my face for the past seven years. Now I am 20 and I am Male. I used to take some ointments(clindamycin,benzoyl peroxide) but that had only temporary effects. Of late, I have started taking medications on the advice of a doctor who says that I have reached the Gr.IV satge of acne.
It is given as follows: Isotretinoin 20 mg twice daily, body weight being 50 kg.
I had missed one dose of the clindamycin. The er doctor gave me again clindamycin via iv. My face swelled up again but started pussing at my gums after a while. She told me to keep taking it despite the swelling and sent me home with a follow up oral surgeon. I didn't take it all night and my face had gone down to half the size by morning! It felt so much better and lighter. I couldnt get a hold of my dentist or the oral surgeon to ask their opinion on continuing with this antibiotic.
Hi... Im getting really frustrated with my face breakouts lately. Ive never had a problem with pimples before but now my chin keeps breaking out. The pimples i keep getting are cystic acne. They hurt really bad and nothing helps them go away. This is currently what i use on my face: Face wash with .5% salicylic acid and another facewash with 3.5% benzoyl peroxide. I MAKE SURE to take really good care of my skin but it dosent seem to work.

Any acne medication takes time to act and it is important to stick to particular regime for significant improvement. You should wash your face with a nonirritating, pH-balanced cleanser to decrease inflammation. Avoid scrubbing the face. Do not pop or pick at pimples. A correct nutritional balance and skin care will be helpful. Drink plenty of water every day. Take 7-8 hours of sleep daily. Have a balanced diet rich in vitamin A, zinc and rich in multivitamins.
I was prescribed Vicodin and Clindamycin. I forgot to take the Climdamycin for the first two days, but picked it up immediately on day three. By the end of day three I found myself in EXCRUCIATING pain that 2 Vicodins couldn't ease and my face was still very swollen even after taking Clindamycin. I was so sick to my stomach due to the Clindamycin that I called my doctor to ask for something else less upsetting on day four. He prescribed Keflex instead.

Now, it has gotten worse over the past few weeks- dark red, cysts, pustules covering my face where my beard would be if I were a man. My t zone is basically clear. My nose is very clear and my forehead has the normal breakouts I had before- sporadic and hyperpigmented. (I'm Mexican and always hyperpigment for every little thing!)
The new severe cystic acne itches like mad, is very painful and bleeds.
I don't understand what is happening.
Im 22 years old in my forehead and all around in face have lot of marks,acne. I went to a Dermatologist and he recommended to use fashbar soap,dezor shampoo,adapalene & clindamycin phosphate gel and take 1 capsule of minolin 100mg but now my face is burning and get lot of oily also still there is no results to that marks and acnes what can I do now pls answer me?
The right side of my face, back of head and neck, and front of chest is burning up even though the rest of my body is fine. The best way to describe the feeling is it feels like I have one of those heat patches on that reacts to air.
The heat first started on the right side of my face and has now started to move to other parts of my body. I consulted my physician and had some tests run (thyroid, etc.) only to be told that everything was fine.
anyone else suffering from serious acne?
doc suggested me to use faceclin gel(clindamycin and nicotinamide) and cetaphil face wash.but rashes came out.even i am allergic to neutrogena products and sulpher compositions.my skin is loosing glow.pls suggest.
So its best to take it as SOON as you feel like an outbreak is starting. For example my prescription was for Valtrex 1gram pills, and I was instructed to take 2 pills as soon as I could feel a cold sore starting and repeat with two pills every 8-12 hours after that. It was VERY effective at a time when I was getting sores as far up as my eyes.
Im 20 years old. I have acne scars and pimples . I went to a Dermatologist and he recommended me to use adapalene & clindamycin phosphate gel but now my face gets burning sensation and has got shine wherever I used that product. also the pimples which I had is turning into some kind of mark. I discontinued using after 10 days. Will it be proper by itself?
Upper left molar #14 was extracted 8 months ago. Prior extraction was experiencing ache on left side of face especially cheek bone & around eye, slightly swollen. Asked for antibotics, he told me what I was experiencing had nothing to do with the tooth & seek medical doctor. Tooth did not come out in one piece. Ten days later went back to dentist as sharp piece of bone sticking out of extraction site. Dentist removed, said it was not uncommon & that everything looked fine.
I wouldn't even treat for "possible infection" with either. I'd wait for test results to come back to see if you even have either of them.
clindamycin isn't going to help for either if you should be infected with either of them. you are wasting your time and money by taking it.
