clindamycin during pregnancy

My nurse and doctor have both assured me it is safe to take during my first trimester. Did anyone else use this during their pregnancy? Thank you!

Ladies, tell me the truth is it me or its just this stupid ksjahqbskcidow bacterial vaginosis?!?!? Ugh I've had since I found out I'm pregnant! Took flagyl but I was allergic to I switched to clindamycin. I took that clindesse clindamycin vaginal cream, didn't work!!! Clindamycin HCl tablets for 7 days didn't work!!! Now they want me to take clindamycin HCl for 7 days again!!!??!!!!!! I'm sooooooo confused, frustrated, devastated, im cryinh and all mix nega emotions!!!!

I asked because some people take antibiotics long term for acne or other medical conditions and usually those types of antibiotics are not safe during pregnancy at all, let alone for extended periods of time. Most antibiotics are safe though and if your Dr is prescribing it for an infection than its best to take it as the benefits outweigh the risks.

It has hyaluronic acid in the form of a serum. Also, i use clindamycin phosphate lotion to prevent breakouts during the day. If i add this underneath the clindamycin, will it stop the clindamycin from working? Will the serum cause breakouts? It says it is for all skin types. Should i maybe use the hydrating complex after i use the clindamycin? I am 24 yr old female still experiencing some breakouts.

I have googled Clindamycin and found that there is a link between torsades and Clindamycin. Is this drug in the same family as Erythromycin? Should I be safe and stop taking it. I have been taking it for 4 days and have 1 day left. My infection, which wasn't very bad to start with, is now gone. I have been having an increase of bradycardia and PVCs and I am a bit concerned. About 5 weeks ago I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed, and the oral surgeon prescribed me Clindamycin to prevent infection. A day or two after I finished my prescription I noticed that I wiped up a little blood on the toilet paper after going to the bathroom. I looked it up on the internet, and it said blood from the rectum could possibly be due to antibiotics, so I thought no big deal. I was also taking Ibuprofin and Vicodin for pain during the antibiotics.

Any help here is appreciated. I had my 2 lower Wisdom Teeth removed 30 August. Jaw has been swollen since but is slowly going down. The main problem is I can only open my jaw about 3/4 of an Inch. Try a natural cleanser.. I had acne pre pregnancy and used exfoliater and a cleanser to remove all my makeup but when I found out I was pregnant my skin got a bit worse after getting in some what clear.. I stopped using the exfoliater and gently washed my face.. don't over clean your skin just stick to natural ingredients. . I use a brand called salida.. has given me 10 days of clindamycin to be taken 3 times a day at a dose of 450 mgs. this is fine, i can take clindamycin with no ill effects. HOWEVER, i have read that this drug is not commonly used to treat std's as there are so many better options. Is clindamycin going to work??? Thanks.

Hi, I took Clindamycin 300 mg 3x a day. I only finished 12 out of 21 pills as I feared the high risk of colitis associated with this drug. My question is that after stopping the medication about 3 days ago, I am having long (6"+), loose stools. Could this be c. diff?
